I *suck* at long words. and at this game. Only 33 words and nothing over 5 letters. :(
Are there any basic strategies to finding the longer or multi-syllabic words?
Hi all, three 7's and an 8 here... but I can't see the words using the Z at all.
Strategy... if you find a syllable or letter string that looks promising (ie might appear in multiple words) try extending it a letter or two at a time in both directions. Also, look for compound words (words made up of two other complete words) and don't forget to look for plurals and past tenses!

As I understand it, Oreo is a trademark and therefore a proper noun. (I'm English and we don't have 'em here, but so I understand from visits to the USA.)
Today was my experiment day. I call it my "Four Period". My score is 75 - 4.00 - 406. I ignored any word over 4 letters.
What were you trying to find out or achieve? Will you do 'no four letter words' tomorrow?
