My word -- 24% of this grid is EEEEEEs
Maximum 53 words. How ridiculous.
this is a great grid golly 20 words 4.15 173
25 words, but nothing over 4
OOooo I dont like this one
30/4.20/272 I have four fives, and one six (33 points).
found a 6 for 24
Thissssss blows. 16 for111. So far my highest scorer is a 4 for 12.
two sixes
six fives
four out of the last five grids have scored under a thousand points. This is the lowest scoring week ever. I can just bet that the amount of people playing everyday is dropping.
The 6-letter word for 33 points aptly describes this grid!
I agree this is the worst I have seen
45 words 4.22 426
only 41 here
grrr whats that puzzle c'est nul y'a riiiien!!!

34 for 300 struggling
how about we play in a foreign language... it may help!
only if its pig latin
this is a lousy puzzle
has anybody used the Qu?
I haven't used the Qu anywhere.
new to babble...this is not for the simple minded. My eyes are going crossed looking for words.
It's unfortunate to stumble across this puzzle if you're new to babble. It's a very poor one, with very few words to find. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better one for you.
1xa 1xc 4xf 3xg 5xh 7xl 3xm 1xo 3xs 7xw 35/4.17/315
cemeterygates - I have more than you in a few categories. I have: 1xI 4xM 1xN
And make that 2xA as well.
Thanks for the encouragement jlm_mi
I am completely rubbish in comparison at the mo, but I do have 5 Fs so far.
I have 8 L's (7 4's and 1 5)
6 x H
The only ones I have different are 7xf 9xl 4xs
Anyone care to share what the 6/33 starts with?
f and its what this grid is
I was trying to make that same word -- but this is the UK spelling.
Aha! I kept trying to make it to, the US way, but that doesn't exist. Then I was trying it with an O instead of an A. Got it!
44/416 this stinks hows everyone else doing
42/397
It won't take it for me! (the 6-letter word) I'm almost positive I have the right word...it fits the math and the descriptions...but it won't take it! Guess I'll just keep trying.
36 326
37 and 369
I have 1xi that I dont thinks been mentioned
Does 9xL = 1x5 and 8x4? I've got 1x5 and 7x4 and thought I tried every remaining combo for 4-letter L words with no luck . . .
Oh I am really sorry just had another look and counted the i in with the l's no I only have 8 sorry for wasting your time. You forgive me?
Fair enough! At least now I don't have to look for L's anymore. ;)
40 for 389
Am I correct in thinking nobody has more than these yet: 2xA 1xC 7xF 3xG 6xH 1xI 8xL 4xM 1xN 1xO 4xS 7xW What about word lengths? I have 34x4, 6x5, 2x6.
How many 5's do you have? I have 5...14, 14, 22, 22, 20 (in alphabetical order)
6 5's - 12, 14, 14, 22, 22, 20
I dont have anymore than that
mellowmasher - I just reached the 44 words you posted earlier, and also have exactly 416 points. How odd! I know I am still missing one of the H words.
broken that magic 400 barrier 42/402
Scratch that. Just got the H word. So now, 45/429. I guess I'll check back later to see if anyone has posted more.
jlm....you are missing an 'n' word
Just got the same 45/429 we must have the same words lol
4fun does that mean you got 2xn?
Is there any help somebody could give me with that 5 x 20? I'm pretty sure I know what letter it must start with (duh!) but feel like I've tried all combinations and still not got it. *sigh*
I'm pretty sure you would fall into the category of people it describes.
Hi Kirsty think of a Richard Gere movie
I do indeed - thanks lovely person :o)
Gawd am I slow! Thanks for your help, the penny has finally dropped - ouch! :o)
Na your not slow you can sit and look at the grid for hours and miss the most stupid ones... well I do anyway
Thanks hun, this is a friendly site for a newbie :o)
44 and 421
45 and 430 gotta go its been a wild ride this morning
No probs I know u from old anyway. Only 8 more to find but just cant see anymore think I will have to settle with 45. Hope tomorrows better
Steve - I'm guessing you must have the 2nd N word? I don't have anything for 8 points, and I'm 1 word + 8 points ahead of you.
wonder how many folks found this from the Robin Hobb website
I'm curious where the 53 words comes from that RFH posted earlier. The boggle solver I used indicated 46, with 2x6, 6x5, 38x4. If I can find a 4 letter N word, that's what I'll have.
only 1 n and the same breakdown you wrote earlier. wonder where I came up with the 430
Hmmmm strange. You've got one word for one more letter than both me and mellowmasher!
37 4's 6 5's and 2 6's
alphabetical the values are 6 6 6 33 9 9 7 9 9 7 5 12 5 7 9 9 7 10 13 4 7 7 4 7 6 6 14 6 6 6 6 9 7 6 14 6 24 4 10 22 10 12 22 7 20
Me too.
That me too was for the counts, not the points. Off to compare now.
My N word is only worth 6 points. Off to find one for 7. ;)
And there you go, 2xN, 46/436.
oooh thanks for the hint now 46 and 436
is there really only 53 words? anyone know?
There is a famous hockey player in the grid. You can change the last letter to make a 13-point word that has no meaning to me whatsoever.
i think there is only 46 words however...
I think there may be only 46 words.
The solver I use also gives 46 words... But it's been wrong before. And runningforhome said down near the bottom that there should be 53 words, so I suppose our solvers don't know as many words as theirs.
Nutkin - I checked the count on a solver (didn't look at the words though ;) ) and that was what it gave me. There might be a couple more or less; their dictionary might not match Babble's.
that still seems like a lot for this grid
So far we've got at least 2 people with the same word count/score and a third who is missing one word to reach that score. If anyone finds more words per letter than listed below, please do tell!
46/436 too. That list of all the point values in alphabetical order might have been a bit too much info, as it turns out! :)
i'm at 42/409
I have a question about the C's word (sorry for my english, I'm french!). I see that all of you have one C, and I have one too, but mine has 4 letters, does your's have too?
Yes, my C word is also 4 letters, for 6 points.
Yep Sté, four letters for the C word
My apologies everyone - there ARE only 46 words. I checked the solver again and realised when I'd put in the grid, I'd reversed the o and a in the second row which makes for a few more words.
Thank's!
My first 6!!
46/436 phew. Off to find an early grave :o)
There are at least 6xf
Sorry. I guess that's old news. I need to learn to refresh the screen before I post.
44 words 423 can't see the two n words
the only N I have so far is usually seen with the ending -tode
found the second N -- here's the definition: A woman born in the state of villeinage; a female serf.
any clues for the words starting with vowels? I got one of the As, but can't get any of the others. Are they (any of them) common words, or should I keep guessing and trying random combinations?
The A word you are most likely missing is a French word, or an alternative spelling of a girl's name. 4 letters. The I word is the plural of an internal body part. Most people probably have never heard of it. 4 letters. The O word is similar to one of the A words. 4 letters.
Thanks fixitfmly ! It appears I totally forgot about the N in the first row. I was fixated on the other N. 46 words 436 I must close my eyes for a minute or two now!
Thanks!...got the i. I actually got the french a-word. Is the o-word similar to that one, or the other one (that I haven't figured out)?
Aaah - The O word is similar to the other A word. Both are for 6 points.
are they common words? Am I staring right at them??? Those two words, and two of the 4 starting with m, are all I have left. I've never been this close!! Are you still playing, jlm, or just hanging around to help? Thanks for your clues!
I think I have all the words, so I'm just popping in over here to see how others are doing, and to see if anyone found more words than me. ;) The A and O words are pretty common. The A word is probably said at least once daily in many households, often just before a meal.
oops! I got it, just as your post came up. Thanks!!! So now just two m-words. Maybe they'll jump out at me too :-)
46/436 Whoohoo! ;-D This is a first for me to get all the words (happy dance!) Kicked myself for missing the gardening word yesterday -- I have spirea in my landscaping! ;-P Not so many truly obscure words in today's grid . . . and I'm recognizing some from previous grids! ;-) Happy babbling all!
berekah - There are two pretty common M words and two more obscure. One doesn't have a definition at dictionary.com and the other has a definition. Actually, I guess you do see that word sometimes in the US, but as a type of food, not as its dictionary definition.
I'm missing the 5 for 14, I think it starts with an S?? Any hints?
hint: it doesn't start with s! The dictionary definition is: The threshold of a physiological or psychological response. To me, it's a common word with a letter added on. :-)
sorry...saw the other one, the one you meant. the one starting with s is a pretty common word...relating to a movie or a play...
wow this puzzle stinks...
I cannot for the life of me find the last m-word! I think it's the food one... unless it's the other common one and I'm just blind.
Never mind, I found it... that's all of them.
Actually, I think I was wrong about the M as food. I think it's spelled a little differently for the food.
thanks - found it one more to go
and done this is the first one I've completley solved :)
Do any of the F words have two F's in them? Right now I have three F words, all with one F.
all the F words use only 1 F
just one per. I think I'm blind...maybe some time away from the 'puter will help.
how many words you got mul?
all the F words are common 4 letters, except for the 6
20
18 here..sigh
Are any of the F words more than 4 letters? The three I have are all 4 letters long.
got a wierd l word...clue was given earlier..didn't realize it was a word..just did a typo it's the l for 14 (whoohoo)
There's a clue for an N word at 12:49. Did you get that one? I just plugged the definition into Yahoo.
Thanks majenwen - just saw your post.
would you freakin' get out of my brain!!!! i just did that ROFL
anyone got a clue for the c?
and i've got 2 m's one is common one is similar to a chinese food..just a little mixed up
The C word is the letter C, spelled out, and plural. Does that make sense? I finally got a 5 letter word!! One of the G's, staring right at me.
The 4-letter, 9-point M-word...can you tell me what 4-point letter it has in it? So it looks like I got the "food" word, but not one of the two common ones. Definitely need some time away from the board. But it's hard when I'm so close!
Your child is being totally adorable :)
um ok one of the g's is a command you would give to a horse or an ox?????
bere-clue for m word 5280 ft
that's always good when he's cute..hehe
the M word for 9 is a common word - it's past tense
thanks, have that one. and the chinese food. it's the other two that are tormenting me ;-)
Tolinya - yes
I have three G's, and none of them are an animal command word.
berekah - one of the M doesn't have a definition, but think of a French word
Or maybe I should look up the definiton of my words before I post...
berekah-an M
bere-sorry- a W
bere-sorry- a W
thank you! I never would have guessed, but process of elimination helps :-) (it's a common word? Really? I dont' think I've ever used it!)
K, doin' better, I'm up to 25 words. Twenty-three 4's and two 5's. Wee-who (not really). Gotta feed myself and entertain the kid.
I take it you're not responsible for the yard?
got the 4 for 9 DOH!!!
Maje good hint..lol
hint for 6's -sailors -what goes in the toilet
aww crap i didn't think that was a word (hint for sailors) i just laughed at myself when I saw it earlier...
hints for the 5's: -a type of bird (12) -The threshold of a physiological or psychological response (14) -relating to a movie or play (14) -add a letter to a 4 for 10, starts with a W (22) -question regarding ownership (20) -men aren't this
Sorry points got mixed up for last 2: -question regarding ownership (22) -men aren't this (20)
clue for the o word..think seventh sign
argh argh stuck stuck..going to get water
ok i've got 5 f's..need clues to the other 2...here's my counts 9 7 9 9 7
i swear i showered today.....
There's an F9 there is VERY similar to your first F9. There's a 6 letter F33 that is the British spelling of a bodily waste product.
um ok those were wierd!!! although i did manage to find 2 more h's...just need 1 more of those... 7 9 9 7 10
can i get a word count on the 'i' word
please
I have 1 "i" word it has 4 letters and 4 points
Tolinya - the last H word is similar to the 4 for 10, just one letter different
Got stuck on a silly h word but 46/ 4.22/436!!!! This wasn't the best grid but it's my first time getting all words. Thanks for all the clues everyone.
This game should be used in school - already, today, I've learned three new words, reaquainted myself with two I rarely hear, and never use, in day-to-day conversations. As kids, we played word games, but today.... they're definitely missing something that could help the kids. So far, I have only 36 words, but I plan to go for broke, today, so g'bye!
got the 'i' word
ok and the last h means WHAT??? it took it it's for 13???
4 l's to go then i'm onto m's and s's and w's UG
I got the last word! I did it! (with the help of my husband...)
WOW!!!! I actually did it!!! Thanks for the hints...they really helped! :)
RFH said there's 53 words, but a couple of players rejoiced at 46/436... I have 36 words, so am I looking for 10 or 17 more words?
10 more words...that person that posted said they switched the a and the o or vice versa
Thank you, Tolinya. Is there anything higher than a five? I have 30/4s and 6/5s..... onward, ever onward.
Christine...there are 2 6's
Christine - There are full word counts per letter, word counts per length, and even a listing of word point values in the log below, mostly from mid-morning.
So are there seven or eight Ls? I am missing one word somewhere and I keep screwing up which letter it starts with. Drat.
Nevermind - I figured out what I'm missing. Now I've just got to find it!
i've got 12 words left...sigh
it won't take LMAO????
I am having a heck of a time finding anymore words. 29 for 239. I've got all the A's, G's, and the C, N, and O.
are any of the l's 6?
Not that I know of.
oh for g*d's sake I MISSED THAT WORD?>???
7 left 7 left
kid is up.
ok i'm stuck....m's need 1 more 6, 6, 9 suggestions? got the yard related the slightly similar to chinese food related 5280 ft
Are there two words that begin with i
from what i've read only 1
AAHHHH stuck need 1 m 1 s and 3 w's
Tolinya - For your M pluralize the 3-letter name of an old movie star (female). It's not a word I've ever heard except for the first name, and even then it's pretty uncommon.
Thanks, jlm_mi (incidentally, until today I've called you JIM_MI). Now I need to go thru' the posts, find what I'm missing....
good clue thanks
now s's i've got 6 24 4
got the s nevermind...now 3 w's
2 left!!!!
ok if i do 2 more words then i'm only at 45 is that right? i thought there was 46
There are 46. Must be missing one more. There are 2 Ns, do you have both?
Oh - Christine - It seems to be about 1/2 & 1/2 people calling me JLM or JIM. I don't mind. :D But I'm female. ;)
crap i'm missing the other n...was looking at jlm's list the orignal one scrolled through the log and found the other missing n for 7
ok got the n back to the w's
got 22 10 12 22 7
You're missing a 4/10 and a 5/20 in W. You'll kick yourself when you find the 4/10 because you already have it in another word. ;) The 5/20 describes you and mulhermujer together, as one example.
for some reason the only thing that's coming into my brain is weebles you know those little people with the round bottoms.....lol
picture kicking myself
Keep thinking people - round bottoms are optional, LOL!
WELL!! Tolinya - I may be short, and round -- but to talk about me that way.... I'm not a weeble.
nice nice...and i'm like brain fried. i've gotta drive home now and bake in the sun ya'll play nice i'll be back...1 word left
OH FOR G*D'S SAKE i thought i typed that before!!!!!!! going to drive into oncoming traffic now!!! I think I tried the wrong spelling previously!!! DOH 46/436 I'd like to thank the academy....blah blah blah...THANKS!!!
and for the record...weebles are cute so :P
RATS, I am missing 1 F, 1 M, 1 L, 1 W and 1 H's.
Make that 2 H's
Found an H.
Still have a couple of weebles stuck away, from when DH was a tiny. 42 for 389 - 35/4s, 5/5s, 2/6s. I need 1 each F and L, two Ws.
Still need 1 L, 1M and 1W.
Have no idea what the last H word for 13 means. Thanks for the clues.
WOO HOO, found the last M, Still need one L and one W. Does the L word or W word have 5 letters?
So, in addition to learning new words, I also got a chance to brush-up my high school French, by eavesdropping on Ste et FFFF (does that stand for Free French Fight Forever?? Is it EAVESdropping, if you're reading?) Why can't I find the rest of the words?
i think it's eyesdropping..instead of eavesdropping..lol
Found the last W. YEA. Now just need a four letter L word.
do you have the english spelling for the stuff in the toilet?
Somebody please help me with the 6letter F word that goes in the toilet. The one I'm thinking of is 5 letters and doesn't quite happen in this grid. Auuggggggh!
going to go work out..will check back in a bit...my weeble butt needs some work HAHAHAAH
Venka - It's the UK spelling of the word you're thinking of. Try starting with the other F
I can't find the last L word. I have all of the obvious ones. Any clues?
Wait, someone else had the same problem, duh. Plus it was almost simulposted. Thanks. lol
Still need 2f, 1h, 3l, and 1n
YEA for me. I finally found all of the words. First time ever!
Woooooo Hoooooooo I got them all
First time ever
Scratch the l's... guess I just needed to post that to find them. Now for the 2f's, 1h and 1n!
eavesdroppers -- icicles.
Aaargh - I'm missing only one word - an F4 for nine points - now, how much easier could it be, to find the bloomin' thing?
Christine - Do you have an obscure F/9? If not, it's very, very similar in spelling to one of your other F/9's.
jlm_mi - other than the one related to the bowel, all are eveyday words. I know the word must contain an S or an M to get the 9points... how difficult can this be.... so near, so near...
Now, this is serious.. in my hour of need, I'm out of teabags AND diet Pepsi. I may have to resort to the hard stuff... I'm off to the supermarket; I can't handle this alone - I need a cuppa.
Taa Daa !! for the first time ever, I have ALL the words... thanks in great part to the clues posted.
Finally! The F 6 letter for 33. Upwards and onwards!
Ah well, didn't have time to find the last four. Thanks for all the clues, though!
CZ: Are you working on the puzzle 'au dernier moment'?
15 minutes to go and I am missing 6 words. One H, two L's, one N, and two W's. Arrgh!!!
I am missing 2 L's and 1 F
crap....that 1 L was staring me right in the face. 2 more words ot go.
