dee - we went down to WA last weekend and there was already a difference. We we treated likie suspects in a crime at the border by very discoureous official. We certainly didn't feel welcomed as a tourist. I will not be travelling to the states again in the current climate -- my tourist dollars will stay at home or in Europe.

They do say a lot of lower back pain is caused by not having enough muscle to help support it. maybe some simple gentle back exercises could help build up some lower back muscle?
am already doing that in the gym. I think it is caused by the bad dreams. I tense up something bad. Guess when I do that all night, my muscles start cramping.

My oncologist is all for it, sleep being essential
I take Propranolol for my anxiety although it does often make me feel sick.
same here, ivesy. I have something similar (oxazepam) for when the panic really strikes, and valium to relax muscles in case of really bad overstressed muscles. Otherwise, the normal meds and my training will have to do.

The midterms in 2018 will elect the state legislatures that will get to redraw the districts
The Republican party has been investing in the past decade to win those legislatures, and a number of states have districts that are very much aligned to elect Republicans...Texas and North Carolina are good examples
That said, the US is also shifting steadily away from a white majority, so I expect to see some more bumps as a result

People have been voting for someone who has no idea what he will do for 8 years. I have no clue what the American voting population is thinking when they go to the polls.
I think voters are emotional rather than analytical when they vote
And if you look back, the US has a long history of presidents who didn't know what they were doing
Or thought they were entitled
We have has the Trump news on the bbc all day, all other programmes cancelled. We didnt have this much political saturation even during Brexit, enough is enough!

There are already women politicians considering the 2020 race. I can only hope that one of them is deserving of the honor of first woman President.

I'm a Texan as well, and not heartbroken. Agree with Molly regarding the future woman President.
I want to be as excited and happy as all the African Americans were when Obama got elected when we have our first woman president. Clinton was not going to make me feel like that at all. So I have hope. But not very hopeful about our country's leadership for the next 4 years.
Can't imagine why anyone would put themselves through running for President. I truly felt bad for both of them before the results were in, because they'd both put so much into it and were so close to winning. How hard it must be to not reach that goal! I remain hopeful for the future, because it gets me out of bed in the morning. Maybe I'll be squashed later in the day, but to start with, anything is possible.
