I think the limit is ELEVEN words, and I have it!! Each time we get a rotten grid, I whine - but this really is a stinker.... so far.
I have 18.
Biggest one I have so far is a 7 worth 40.

I have two sixes and one seven -- I guess there's more than eleven words.
I have 27 words, with 2 7's and one 6, so there's definitely more than 27.

Believe it or not, there are 70 words in this puzzle.
I'm at 35.
Apparently two of my brothers' names are acceptable words (only one is in this puzzle).

How many 7's are in this puzzle? I have one for 28 and one for 40.
I have five 7s: two for 48, one for 40, one for 36 and one for 28. If your 40 is the same as mine, then the 36 is just one letter different.

One starts with a, the other starts with t. Neither of them are very common words :-(
Oops, sorry, got that wrong! The one that starts with a is a 6 for 48. The other 7 for 48 starts with d.

OK, now I have 65. I understand there are 70 altogether... here's my breakdown by starting letters: A - 6 D - 8 H - 6 L - 2 O - 5 P - 5 R - 7 T - 21 W - 2 Y - 3

I think there are 6 7s. I have 5, but they're not the same as Kukanas. Mine are 48, 32, 28, 40, and 36. So according to Kukana's count I'm missing a 48 and Kukana is missing a 32.
Oh, and mine are listed alphabetically.

Isn't that A6 one of the wierdest words? I noodled all the combinations, and thought nothing took, then this morning I saw it had been accepted, last night.... oh, I'm learning sooo many new words, on this board - and sometimes they reappear, which is a kick.

Oh Lord, no - start with a common, five letter word, add a suffix, to make it an adverb (I guess). Hope this helps.

Ain't no way I can find four more O words, I have only two OUs. I believe there are six 7-letter words - I have five, worth 48, 32, 28, 40 and 36; there may be another 48??
Christine - there are at least 2 more 'ou' words -- neither has a def in the babble dic! Both are 6 ltr -- one would describe the winner of the hotdog eating contest; the other would describe someone who is the best in summation in their math class. Another puzzle I wish I wouldn't have started. DH says it's my bedtime again ;-)
