bigbirdboss, i have 118/1769. which generally, given my scores, means that there are at least 50-100 more words. just a hot tip.
'glow' - 5, 6, 6, 7, 8 and 7, for a total of 208 points.. Good way to start my morning, before a medical appointment. See y'all.

There are at least 3 9s for 60 and a clue to one of them was given to Treble99 earlier.
134-1929 now
fianly got up to the magic 5.00 yeah me!
139/2066
So far, 142 words 5.06 2142 I'll post my breakdown shortly.
Nevermind, I see jlm_mi posted the breakdown earlier.
I have 13 xL
The 12 is by i - there are 17 L's.
gotcha, thanks!
151/2230 slowing down
I keep putting in variations on "hinkie," but it won't bite. =(
How can 'unsung' be a word but not 'unsing'? ;)
and how can unsensing not be a word Ive been called that many times
and unresting. Although I've never been accused of that.
OK, I started this puzzle off thinking it was so easy! I got all of the A,D,E,G and H words, then hit I. Now, I'm at 178/2875 which is great, except that I still have 33 words to go! I can't believe there are that many more!!!!! I'm missing so many words of so many letters. Maybe we can help each other out. How about I to begin. I have 6 of the 12. They are 6,7,7,8,5,6. What have you got, and what do you need?
all of my I's could be your I's, so I can't help there. I've been working on sevens: 28,44,28,28,32x3,28,32x3,40,44,32,28 and I know I'm missing a 28 at the end, which accounts for 16.
I can help with 7s: 28,44,28x3,32x3,28,32x4,40,44,28,32,28x2
although, all five of my I's start with the same two letters, do yours?
Yep.
I have the same I's as you.
wait, how can you have two Ix7s before the 8? By my point count, the one I am missing would be 28 points, but not with that third letter...
OK, I'm going to list what I've got. If anyone can add anything, anywhere, please do! A - 4x4, 3x5, 1x7 (that's all of the A's) D - 2x4, 2x6 (that's all of the D's) E - 3x4, 2x5, 1x6, 1x8 (that's all of the E's) G - 1x4, 1x5, 1x8 (that's all of the G's) H - 5x4, 1x5, 2x6 (that's all of the H's) I - 1x5, 2x6, 2x7, 1x8 (missing 6) K - 12x4, 5x5 (missing 2) L - 5x4, 4x5, 3x6, 1x7 (missing 4) N - 6x4, 4x5, 2x6, 3x7 (missing 4) R - 5x4, 6x5, 3x6, 3x7, 2x8, 2x9 (missing 2) S - 15x4, 16x5, 6x6, 7x7, 3x8, 1x9 (missing 6) T - 13x4, 7x5, 2x6, 1x7 (missing 4) U - 2x4, 1x5, 3x6, 1x7, 1x9 (that's all the U's)
I only have one 1x7 for 28 points. The other Ix7 does not share the same third letter. The first 28 pointer on my list does not start with I. Does that help?
I haven't quite followed this "i" debate but if it helps: I have 1x5, 3x6,3x7 and 2x8 starting with i. Just to be clear, they aren't in that order! That's 9 so apparently I'm missing3 still :o(
Kirsty1 - That does help. I know that at least I'm missing a 6,7, and 8 beginning with i.
If you can help more on the i's - I have a 6/7 combo and a 7/8 combo. Might the 6,7,8 that I'm missing all be related, or are there no 6/7/8 combos?
jlm-- I's--I have a 6/7/8 and a 5/6 combo, in that order. I also have an Sx9 and a Tx8 you don't.
Thanks parsec. I think we have different I 8s then. I have a 6/7, then a 7/8 then a 5/6 and I don't think I can make either of my earlier combos a 6/7/8. My 6/7 might be used to describe a rorschach test. ;) My 7/8 is immediate. My 5/6 is to become accustomed to
I can confirm that there IS a 6/7/8 combo! You'll kick yourself when you spot it :o)
Darn it, thunder already stolen...that'll teach me not to forget to refresh!
if your 6/7 might also relate to octopi, then that's the 8 you're missing. Thanks for the clues, I guess I am missing the immediate ones.
parsec, yes, octopii could go there also. I'm searching for the 8! But, that means I'm still missing a 6 and a 7 then. Wonder if they're a pair?
Oh - Got the 8! So, now I have 6/7/8, 7/8, 5/6 Looking for a 6 and a 7, don't know if they're related.
oo, found a related 6/7 by mucking around. it has to do with flowers, but I looked it up to know that.
Does it have the same 2nd letter as the others?
yep.
Hey, this is interesting! Remember that there are 2 more words in this puzzle than I have lengths, starting letters for. Well, I have 14 8/9 letter words now, but I still don't have the T that parsec mentioned earlier. My 8/9s go like this: 8-45,8-45,8-60,8-40,8-45,9-60,8-45,9-60 8-55,9-72,8-40,8-60,9-78,9-60 and there is at least one before my last one. So, there are at least 15 8/9 letter words
and another Ix5 with no meaning...you know, I could use a hint or two for the 7+ Us.
there is an 8 for 40 before your last one
I also have a 9 for 54 before your 9 for 60 R
You dont say parsec
bigbirdboss - I have 2 9 for 60 Rs. :) Is the 8/40 the one that begins with T? parsec - 6 of the 8 U words begin with un, but only four of them are actually un- prefixes. The other 2 U words begin with the same 2 letters as each other, but are completely unrelated to one another.
yes, the 8 for 40 begins with a T
Does the 9/54 start with R?
the 9 for 54 starts with N
say that 8 T for 40 10 times real fast; what a tongue twister
Any clue on the n/54?
the 9 for 54 actually comes before the 8 for 45 beginning with R (that I just got)
The n54 is the same root word as the N-7-28. It's not a common word that I know of. But, once I found the octopus 8 I realized that suffix was there and used it for several more words, including the N54.
definition for the 9 for 54: stylishness
So, what I think is the complete list of 8 and 9 letter words goes: 8-45, 8-45, 8-60, 8-40, 9-54, 8-45, 9-60, 8-45 9-60, 8-55, 9-72, 8-40, 8-60, 9-78, 8-40, 9-60
I guess I just realized that I need the N-7-28!!! :)
OK, since I had found all the 8/9 letter words I went back to the solver to see what it was missing. It was missing 2 9-letters words, one starting with R and one starting with S. No idea why, they seem like perfectly good words! So, here are the complete stats: 16x8/9 23x7 37x6 58x5 77x4 8xA 4xD 7xE 3xG 8xH 12xI 19xK 17xL 19xN 23xR 54xS 27xT 8xU
Whoops! That should be 24xR and 55xS.
the only 9 i have is the smelly one
that is the only one that i have.
there is another 5 or 6
found my first ever 9....and i couldn't see it..i looked for like 10 minutes..i had the clues..but the clue and my brain..on different tracks lol!
woot got the 8 for 55 by adding that same ending to another word...
can we trade a e for a n???
parsec - Unless I'm much mistaken, your 5 letter I word with no definition is the plural (hint, hint) of the basic monetary unit of Peru.
It won't take 'thiner' or 'thinest.' And according to Dic.com, they are words. Bummer.
nice dirty language...babble creators.... i know i've got some soap around here somewhere....
Anyone want to compare 6s? I'm missing 6. I have: 2xD 1xE 2xH 4xI 4xL 2xN 3xR 6xS 4xT 3xU
And 1xK. :)
OK, start following patterns . . . Make that 5xL
And 4xR, now I've gotta go for a while.
well heck, i didn't know that u for 9 was a word. with a "der" yes, but this seems a bit wishful. if only!
3xN for 6 letters
8xS for 6 letters
I`ve got a k 6.
I've got 7 k's
doh nevermind..was reading the wrong posting jlm...lol
I have no idea about the I 6/7 that has something to do with flowers, I guess. Any help?
oh, this is rubbish!!! it won't allow me "statin" - which is a cholesterol-reducing drug. NOT a brand name. First its "stent" and now this. I'm getting fed up!! (and very frustrated).
i've got 12 k's but no 6's.
Its not accepting 'stent' is my Babble pet peeve. I'm with ya.
mine too; i even e-mailed Dr. God about it once. maybe i should've written to the authors of the scrabble dictionary.
Me too! (blushes) The word certainly comes up often enough to annoy us. ;)
the inability to sp. instating is too much! oof, think this is it tonight, at least i broke 2k. 'night all.
marigold, I am stuck at 119
IT WONT TAKE REIKI
yes! and dictionary.com even lists it as lower case in definition #2.
I just found the k 6 for 30. I have the nine for 78. Can someone tell me what the 9 for 60 begins with
r a prefix
fit1, add to n 7 for 32
duh, Onyx. DUUUUHHHH!!! Thanks so much. It was right before my eyes :)
my eyes are crossed right now from this puzzle
Im tired and I need to go to bed. But I keep looking for one more word, one more word, one more word :)
thank you soooo much onyx. I have been looking for a 9 for 60 all day.
can anyone give a clue for the K 6 for 30 ? :\ it's almost bedtime
It's a plural for a scientific word having to do with polypeptides
Any clues for the N 7 for 28 that's related to the N 9 for 54??
Aww, I really wanted to be able to make 'kitties' :(
