anyone else here fond of anteek shopping?
I know I am! I also enjoy a good lapdante when I go to the strip club. ;)
my anteeter is an avid anteek collector .... i might just have given a T6 away with this post ;)
There are 123 words. So far I have 71/4.61/782. Best is an 8 for 50, plural of a 7 for 36.
Make that 73/4.66/832.
Alright, I'm really going to bed now, with 80/4.65/933.
Un-freakin'-believeable that this game will not accept 'fest.' That Enable dictionary needs to get its thumb out of its bee-hind.
Won't take 'taur' either. Arg!!
I just introduced a friend to this game an hour ago, and right away we found an 8/45 and a 7/32. Beginner's luck!
Show-off's.....;)
Right now I have 27 for 235. Here's a breakdown... a x 1 b x 8 e x 1 f x 1 g x 3 k x 2 n x 1 p x 1 s x 2 t x 5 u x 2 Boa noite.
i'm too busy trying to enter mulhermujer's failed words to find any good stuff for myself. Anyway, i'm always a slow starter. My specialty is the marathon rather than the 100 meter dash ;)
I have finished the N's (unless jlm tells me there are more). I have 3 N's
I have 4 n`s.
Nooo! N4 N6 N7 , 1 of each What have i missed? Sheesh. I'm usually sooo careful with the 1st few letters. How could i have missed something already?
Another N4 No idea what it means
65/701 - stuck now... 1 x 8, and 2 x 7's.
Sorry I went back to bed . My N`s are ; 1x7 , 1x6 , 2x4 .
@ Karin That's ok i'm only checking here intermittently ... and i did find the N4 pretty fast (with a bit of random typing). It's amazing how much easier it is when you KNOW a word exists in there somewhere. :) I've got 1xL , 4xP , 11x R and 2x W. Anybody got more?
I can't get into the archives for Sept. what was the F6 word yesterday: stuffed especially with mushrooms?
far·ci or far·cie (fär-s) adj. Stuffed, especially with finely ground meat: mushrooms farci. [French, past participle of farcir, to stuff, from Old French, from Latin farcre.]
kedgeree is NOT on today's Babble menu :(
Thanks shortseer, never heard of the word.
mulhermujer, just curious, your list says that you have 8 B words, but there is no B in this puzzle. At least in the one I am looking at :)
how many words are in this puzzle?
At 12:46 am runningforhome said... There are 123 words And mulhermujer said good night several hours ago, so i'll respond for her by suggesting that the B should be a D
what does the 8/45 and the 7/32 start with? please
The 7/32 starts with 'n'
Any clues for 7/36 or 8/45 ?
look at 12.44 message....
I have one 8 and one 7 are there any other long words?
So far I'm on 89/4.75/1114 as follows: Ax1 Dx15 Ex2 Fx8 Gx12 Kx3 Lx1 Nx4 Px4 Rx6 Sx9 Tx19 Ux3 Wx2 Does anyone know where I'm short?
Back again ,here`s what I`ve got so far: A-4 D-19 1x8 &1x7 E-5 F-9 G-15 K-5 L-1 N-4 P-2 R-11 S-7 T-24 2x8 U-3 W-2 Hope this helps...
Thanks Karin :o)
I now have: E-6 F-10 P-4 S-11 T-26

Back after a long break ... My ... ahem! ... "finished" letters so far match the the highest scores for : 10x F 15xG 5x K 1x L 4x N 4x P 11xR 2x W. But i thought i was finished with 9x S I've got 6x4S 2x 5S and 1x 6S What length are the other two S's
The P`s I have are: 2x4 , 1x5 & 1x6 . S`s are: 1x7 , !x6 , 3x5 , & 6x4 .
There's an S 7/48
thanks
deta : missing letter of the greek alphabet detau: to remove the 19th letter of the greek alphabet Well why not? ;) I WAS surprised that a G4 word related to an old Infocom game worked! "It is very dark. If you continue you are likely to be eaten by a G4." Aaaanything is possible
There are 123 words, and I know the starting letters for them all, but only the lengths for 122 of them, but I can guess: 3x8 4x7 15x6 34x5 66x4 4xA 19xD 7xE 10xF 16xG 5xK 1xL 4xN (solver only had 3) 4xP 11xR 11xS 26xT 3xU 2xW Since the N word was missng in solver, I'd guess it's one of the 4-letter N words, so I'd guess there are really 67x4. Oh, and that 4-letter N word is a bread served with Indian food, for shortseer. :)
yes .. i did finally go and look it up. I obviously need to take a course in ethnic foodstuffs ;)
It was hard to find 4 P's. I confess I tried 'pawnder'. :)
Noboody has found the 16th G ? I've got 15xG : 1x Ga4, 5x Ge4, 1xGo4 , 2xGr4 2x Ge5, 3x Gr5 1x Gr6
I've come up one short with the D's What am i missing? 2x DA4 5X DE4 3x DO4 1x DA5 3x DE5 1x DO5 1x D6 1x D7 1x D8
I have 4xDO4
Oops ... i thought i'd entered that Do4 ! Thanks!
shortseer, I have 4 GA-5s.
RFH - Are you sure? 4 words that are each 5 letters long beginning with GA? That doesn't seem possible, and would make many more G words than the solver had.
Oops, I meant GR-5s, not GA.
oh gawd! i will head over to the other G ;)
Does anyone have all 5 K-words? I've got three; a 4/11, a 4/8, and a 5/18 and I can't find any more, even after resorting to a2zwordfinder!
There's a K 6-30
There is another 4 for 8 from which the 6 for 30 comes. Protein or something I think.
Thank you, I found them.
I've only managed one a so far, are they all 4 letters and are they all common words please ?
The A's are two 4/5 combos. Only one combo is common. My R's are 5x4, 4x5, 1x6. Any help with the last one? (All but one are Re)
You are missing the RU5 I'm having lots of trouble with the T's I've got: 2xT8 3xTE6 1xTR6 1xTU6 3xTR5 1xTU5 3xTE4 2xTO4 4xTR4 ----- 20 out 26 ----- What am i missing?
You are missing at least 2xTa and a Te4. I only have 2 of the 3 Te6 however.
Does anyone have a T-7?!
Yep--it's an extension of both a 4 and a 6
could anyone give a clue for T7, thanks
may I have a clue for the d/7 and d/8 please?
I have three t words that start with TA
Yea!, I found all of the P's.
I am stuck at 77. Is anyone else here?
shortseer I loved Zork totally imagination game since no graffics. The imagination is always best.
Just come back again to work on the troublesome T's and a stubborn S ... Clue for the D's ... D7/8 verb. to do with washing or cleansing (a wound, for example) It's not a word i've ever used in this form. But everyone will know a longer noun form of the word @ a1axelady : it's daylight here now ... i'm safe! The G4's can't get me now ;)
Still don't have the 8/45 !
T6/8 sequence - relating to absent without leave
I believe i'm still missing an S5 I have 2xST5 What else is there?
I have 3 ST-5s.
I'm also missing an S5, but a different one. I have 3 ST5s. What's the second letter of your other S5?
Thanks shortseer. Got the 8/45
How many points is the other T-8?
Never mind, I just found it.
Big ole nevermind -- turns out I was missing an S-4, not another S-5.
D7/8 verb. to do with washing or cleansing D6 hate F6 bundle of twigs bound together; or a disparaging term G6 welcomes K4/6 sequence - related to particular chemical structure N6/7 sequence - related to the world of living things P5/6 sequence - shrine (variant spelling) R6 re-examine S4/6 sequence - related to searching S5/7 sequence - related to piercing with a sharp object (scottish) T 4/6/6/7 sequence - relating to tight T6/8 sequence - think seesaws T6 - geometrical shape T4/6 sequence - related to exams T6/8 sequence - relating to absent without leave T6 - those being instructed
got the other ST5 thanks meeker :)
Argh, I can't find the last e-word! I have 3 EG 2 EK 1 ET Anyone have them all?
runningforhome ... what is the next letter of the alphabet after E? ;)
E4 immature newts (whose natural habitat seems to be crossword puzzles)
Hahah, thanks shortseer.
shortseer, ashamed to say (being Scottish) I can't find S5/7 sequence - related to piercing with a sharp object (scottish)
Youngster, it sounds very similar to something you'd use to kill a vampire...
@youngster: To pierce with a sharp instrument; hence, to stitch; to sew; also, to fix; to fasten. [Scot.] That's what it says in the dictionary. I suppose it's pronounced somewhat like "stick" ? ---------- I'm still missing a T4 I have: 1x TA4 4x TE4 2x TO4 4x TR4 Can anyone help?
marigold, are you here?
Thanks again. Sorry I was looking for one word 5/7 instead of a 5 and a 7!
Just managed to come back for a bit, lots of other things taking me away this month. What is the second letter of the other a combo as I'm sure I've tried everything !:(
can't figure out the t/6 - geometrical shape. The only one I know is a triangle and it doesn't fit. But I did get the scottish words for piercing! Thanks shortseer. :)
I have 5 TE-4, shortseer.
I am missing an S and a T - one for 4 points and one for 6, but I don't know which does with which! :(
Found them all! :D Goodnight and goodluck all; I may be around to give hints if anyone needs them.
found it runningforhome Of course, i started looking for it at the wrong end of the TE's
That was the last one for me too. Byeee
marigold, you have mail.
Well, I came back to read the chat, get some hints, but AWOL doesn't fit - may need to think on this matter.... So far I have 93 for 1115, (3/7s, 2/8s).
Christine, think of being absent from school.
i've still only got 89 :( not finding this one easy and i can't stay up all night now I'm back at work. I seem to be shor mostly on r's & s's. Any help woul be most welcome!
Periwinkle - darn! I have that.... I spent 10minutes, looking for words with a military slant. And I still can't find the geometric shape -- triangle, trapezoid, tube -- don't nuthin' fit.
Christine, Don't feel bad, my sister, marigold and I cannot find the geometric shape either. I have used my crossword dictionary and Google and she has tried AskJeeves. I give up on that one.
I've got one that means conical, could that be what you are looking for ?
paying a fleeting visit ... perhaps my T6 clue was too obscure (well of course it was) T6 adj. cylindrical and tapering (particularly applied to plant parts) Not a word most of us will be familiar with, 'cept the botanists i suppose
dimwit, I think so. Would you be kind enough to tell me the second letter?
Yup, I googled the term, and there's nothing to help us. I too am giving up on that one. I read the list, and realized I had many of the words (yay, for me), but a couple I'd passed over, because of the spelling - the shrine, for example. I think it's time for dinner (or lunch or b'fast - just realized I've not eatenand it's almost 6:30pm)... back late with a full tummy/reactivated brain.
its e - you need to start by thinking of stems that mean three, like tre... etc-
shortseer, Your second clue for the elusive T word was much more helpful. Thanks.
what's this about a shrine ? what letter does it begin with ?
P
Oh thanks, I see. I did have that but thought there must be another one. Took that to mean temple. Obviously being too picky tonight.
I have 10 s's can anyone help me with the last one ? I have - 4 x 8 6 x 30 4 x 4 4 x 7 4 x 7 5 x12 5 x18 7 x48 5 x10 4 x4
There is a 4 letter S word that comes before the beginning of your list. It's a common word.
thanks Jlm_i couldn't see the wood for the trees there... ooh a bit of a pun ! :)
My r's are 5 x 10 5 x12 4 x7 4 x 8 4 x4 5 x12 6 x18 5 x 10 4 x5 I believe I am missing 2 ? What lengths are they and where do they come in my list ?
Dimwit, you're missing a 5/10 and and a 4/4, both nearer the end of the list.

Did anyone give a clue for the other t8. I have the one that means wobbled
There was one awhile ago about absency without leave...
Thanks running. I had the 6 part of it but never added the suffix. DUHHHH
I tried a new word for D7/8 - related to washing or cleansing....DETURGE/S - another way to spell detergent; sadly, it wasn't accepted... but why not, for goodness sake?
Hot dang - I was being facetious, because I couldn't make 'detergent'... as soon as I hit SEND, I realized what word was there..... yay!!
