hey up {{sprite}} hugs and kisses my dear.
there she is :) *hugs rose* Hello my dear friend, how are you today? Good to read that drN is happy.
i actually went out with don and did the shopping. AND.... a new manicurist has opened up near my local supermarket. had my nails done for the first time since you did them. not as good though.
aw that is a shame :( But I hope your hands look nice nevertheless, and you feel pampered.
people seeing me for the first time since my infusion cannot believe i am the same woman.
and you sweetie. how are you doing? any better?
can't wait for drJ to find the right schedule and length for your infusions, so that you can stay like this the whole time.
I am okay. :)
and Rob, Caya and Tim?
all good. Tim has applied for the brewer university in england and has arranged for a written reference from his old mentor. Will hear whether he is accepted in May. Caya has finished her last paper and is now enjoying real free time until the end of the winter break. Rob finished tiling and filling the bathroom floor yesterday, will continue with an epoxy layer and changing taps and stuff like that.
dinner nearly ready here which is why i emailed you. could not be sure how long i would be here. you know you all are in my heart and prayers.
will check email then :) Enjoy your dinner, sweetie. Love and hugs.
wow!! bless them all and you. you seem to be stepping out well.
you have seen my latest one. will email you again tomorrow. xoxox

Hi Dan
school is delayed 2 hours for miss2bit today over MAYBE a half inch of white stuff
Unnecessary, Dan, and what a mess for parents.
none here thank goodness, very cold and windy though
delayed opening is the hardest to navigate for sure. Luckily, I am able to work from home if needed
Hello. S nowing here and temp is plummeting
Hello Ruby
In Binghamton, it took 6" to close the schoolx
nice
well down here our snow removal strategy is basically "wait a day or so" :-)
lt was too hilly for tthe school buses
Hi Ruby. We are getting snow too and have 2-3 feet piled up from winter. But we regularly deal with big snowfalls here.
also, we have so many lawyers per capita here that everybody is scared to death of any kind of issue with a school bus
I am sure, Dan.
sounds like where I grew up Scrabbler, Ontario, east of Toronto
l think that where you are, scrabs, you get some "lake effect" snow
Time to get ready for work, then I have 5 days off to snowshoe with my sister who will drive from New Jersey tomorrow.
yay - enjoy!
Yes, flosey. Lake Erie is our snow machine.
have a great time with your sister
am now on small island off west coast- very seldom have snow
Therr is so much snow in the nearby AQlps, that it is too Dangerous for people to ski -- big risk of avalanches
have about 3" of fresh powder snow today...more expected

l just looked at your profile, mummy; what is on your cat?
hello friends.
Good morning, trif.
plus side: it's my free period. minus side: the math teacher is printing 90 multiple page tests on the copier behind me
So much for quiet. =)
yuuuup
... as long as you're not stapling them ... or carrying them ... or marking them ... you can afford to have concerns over the well being of the poor math teacher who does
excellent point, dos! I do seem to have been nominated to be the watcher of the copier - if it runs out of paper, or jams, etc. I am the one who ALWAYS fixes it
That was me as well. No one else knew a thing about it...
... the price you pay for having acquired a skill ... no body else needs to learn ... they only need to call you
Sounds like you are xeroxious anout it
lololo nice one, ruru!
in college we had to write our own Greek tragedies for a drama class - you would have LOVED it - Queen Hepatitis, King Diabetes, a messenger we named "Herpes," as he spread news faster than anyone had ever, and twin princes, both of whom were named "Xerox," though the second twin was not as bright.
FW
huzzah for mael!
wondering if the ta8 is an edible mineral ;)
Sounds cool Trif
The only Greek tragedy I know is my Mothers family ðŸ˜
or just a weekly discount at a mexican restaurant
lol ruru
Yup here too.
We called it the Yavodnik curse
the ta4.4 always makes me laugh. the Washington Post had a contest once, where people had to change one letter in a word and give it a new definition. The winner was "reinTARnation" - when you die and come back as a hillbilly.
Thats funny
cracked me up
yuk yuk yuk
Was the character Queen Hepatitis the 3rd?
no, just regular
— bad joke on hepatitis 3
Finally! Got the an9...
Good morning, all!
Morning, Judi.
LOL - Trif's Greek tragedy.
is the an9 a compound word?
no, it is an against word.
trif are you still here? may I use your greek tragedy in n IL times poem (credit you)?
i just read the chat about the greek tragedy, it's very funny trif
Last word was di5/22...jeez! Hope the rest of the day is easier than this grid...bzz...

Colder here in south Mississippi than in southern Maine! Ice all over. Everything closed.
Blah. Ice is the worst, Mitch.
is their a definition to the an against word I don't have it yet?

ty judi
hi mool

good luck mool.. this is a toughie again
yeah, was saying earlier...seems like there are a lot of single words that aren't related
You know it's bad when even the 4-letter words are elusive.
i need to go out and see about clearing the driveway. not enough for neighbor to snow blow.

oh geez, tx ru
tried a few different words like that, but didn't think to try that
just for the record, I am pro-Patsy
I'm sure Patsy will forgive.
including changing the i for an o
me too -- Crazy ... I'm crazy for ...
she's dead judi
I'm more re-Patsy
she doesn't give a rat's ass anylonger about that word :D
I doubt a rat would give a rats ass about anything...mainly because it needs it's ass
closed out the first column..so there's hope
Still have 2 o's left there
I used to have a tiny amphibian, it was my newt
I know Patsy is dead.
good thing I have snow day today, so I can spend all day on this grid . . .

cinator sounds more like someone who attacks people with spices

there are a lot of spice/people jokes.. but there's turmeric to mention
guys who help mkg
yeah, one of them sent a cardomom
cumin!! you're kidding me
Now I'm going to spend the rest of the day parsleying my spelling
one must handle spice puns somewhat gingerly
It's all fenugreek to me anyway
it's all that shuck and chive
I guess I'll just have to saffron
at as long as you pepper the chat with puns

you are making me hungry and i can't go out in the snow!
oregano (english pronunciation) do any more?
you are so funny!!!!!!!! ty for the smiles!!!!!!

from top corner A i have AI 6/4 and AZ 5/20 - what am i missing?
az6/36
so, "itty" is not a word, huh?
what's the ending of the ca9?
same as ta 8 -- mineral ending
good morning -- could I have a clue for the az 5-6 please?
nitrogen
if that's a clue, it means nothing to me
it's another name for nitrogen
didn't know there was another name for nitrogen
I just learned something new
means "without life"
well, just like mercury used to be called quicksilver, nitrogen used to be called az5
that still doesn't help
az write a n*** to yourself as a reminder
ty phae - a new one for me
yw...the 6 ends with most of frozen water
mark, thanks for info -- interesting!
yes - I found the 6 --- I'm thinking this is going to be a long an painful grid. I'm trying to read Fire and Fury --- not sure which is the most painful!
:-)
whew! Finally done -- you all have a good one.
what is the an 9 against?
nan, it's an4/4 + cl5/12
perhaps that hint was too easy? lol
ty cath

Alrighty...gotta run for now and get some work done. 89 words to go but not sure I'll have time. Have fun all

A plant MLF
ar 7 please? is the 6 related?
also need the 2nd no 6/21 an the en 6/21
no6/21 - rhymes with adj for sonnets and limericks
en6/21 - like California town in LA, but with different final vowel
ty vicuna
ty again -- thought it might be that, but can never remember that it is a diff. vowel at the end
or en + beginning of girl with evil stepsisters + indefinite article
the ar's please?
that's what I'm still missing, too
found the ar 6
ar + pig sound with diff. last letter
*!* - ar + negative + preposition
Back to fire and fury -- not sure I'm going to finish that either, but it has been in the news so much I wanted to be able to form my own opinion.
Thanks! Have fun (?) with the book. =P
hagd everyone
have you read it, vicuna?
or you can read my short story published here: http://amzn.to/2AwIFFd <-- shameless self promotion
will bookmark it for later, shirl
spread the word!
as to fire and fury, i should have titled my short story that, it's close enough :)
i also don't think i can stomach reading that book ...
From all the disclaimers at the beginning I think it has to be read as fiction loosely based on fact
i heard an interview with him about that "disclaimer" -- he basically said that everyone assumed he was there for a legit reason -- and they talked to him knowing he was a reporter and it was on the record
just getting into it, so no opinions formed so far...
but since he wasn't there for any specific interview like other reporters, he put in the disclaimer since everyone seems to have selective memories now
I gather some of it was hearsay though
i haven't read it myself so i'm only repeating the NPR interview comments
it is just too easy to believe everything, T being the juvenile idiot that he is
signing out...
AR 7 clue again please - don't see any preposition
ar + negative + **ward
thnx - using wrong negative
going out to scrape off car and shovel snow - BBL
Man this is a tough grid!

Hi Bichon.
Hi all and thanks for fi 5/18 - one of my missing last 10 words
Hi Liz. I just sent off an email.
Hi Scrabbs - keeping warm, I hope.
I am still thinking about that fi5.
Ends in the beginning of my sentence :)
Now I have it.
Can't believe I only just found the dramatic player - swore it wasn't there yesterday!
It is 11 degrees F and I am inside for the night.
Can't imagine those temperatures. Just did the conversion to Celsius - that's minus 11C. Wow!
We recently had 2 weeks of near zero temps. I actually skipped snowshoeing because the wind chill temps were minus 25 one weekend.
I guess if you live with those temperatures, you're prepared - both with clothing and the way the house is heated. I often whinge in winter here because the houses don't have central heating for those nights when the temperature goes into single figures (celsius)
Fireworks
Any clues before I go?
We are resilient here because we learn how to deal with winter.
Yay Liz!
Thanks
No, thanks. I need 62 and am seeing nothing, so I will stop soon.
OK - have a good evening.
