Not too badly today, thanks sprite. And you ?

Glad to hear that you are fine. I know you will be so glad to get the move done. Hugs.
*hugs back* Yes I am. The house is in a state of disarray allover now, I long for it to be over and for us to be living in our orderly trailer :)
Just take it easy and know that you will get it just the way you want it.

Yes they moved this car and it had so much snow on the roof i was amazed it did not dent it in!
Have you got any of the Y words, Ruby?

The car wash would be a moot point around here. There will be gunk on the roads for days. Besides, I don't think it is warm enough for mine to be open.

I have a quick question. I have not played for about a month and don't remember suggested words as a drop down the minute I begin to type. Is this new?
... nope .... It's been annoying me for years
no - do you have spell check turned on?
I agree, it's very annoying and it was not doing that last time I played. I may have accidentally changed a setting.
I don't see suggested words at all and never have --- look at your spell check settings
Nan, do you mean for just this game site, or over all ?
over all
I remember this happening several years ago. Okay, will check, thanks !!
I never use spell check, so don't even know where to find it on my Windows 8. :-)
are you using windows 10?
I just did an update several days ago and that may have been one of the items updated!! ......using Windows 8 I just turned a couple of things OFF in my auto correct settings...no change. I'll figure it out !
everything except underline spelling errors should be turned off in the spell section of settings
... good try nan ... but that didn't work ... still have the annoying word suggestions
is the problem in the browser rather than the system? -- is there a spell check feature in your browser?
I get them on my i-pad -- handy there - but never with windows and not with explorer or edge
That's what I'm looking for, Nan. Thanks for your help and I will let you know when I figure it out.
so 6/24 please?
re 6/21, second one, pls
re 6: send out again

now I do - add a little bedbug
Okay, I just switched to Babble Expert ( which I am leery of using) and the drop down word suggestions has disappeared !!
found the last --- ends in a tiny bug
why are you leery of using expert? -- I use it all the time
need to take a break -- back in a bit

Peri does it again. Ever the lady.
and why can't we have homies?
Good morning all
morning, liz
Hi TO
morning, liz
i wondered about homies too, TO :)
Me too
These last 25 or so words don't want to be found.
i'm down to 63, a pleasantly large, and challenging, grid.
A change after the last couple of teeny grids.
I'm down to 23 now.
we got a foot of snow over the weekend. More due Thursday, and next weekend.
So glad I don't have to experience snow any more.
it went fairly quickly for a grid of this size.
My last memories of snow were taking 6 and a half hours to drive home from work - should've taken 40 minutes.
I abandoned my car and walked the last mile.
You are lucky Liz. I would love to live somewhere that has no snow.
It's a trade off Molly. The humidity this summer has been much more than usual.
yes, i do not think we will escape the next round.
How did your Challah work out Molly?
Very well, thanks.
Great :)
Yes TO, once we are done with this round of snow, another one is in store next weekend. Blech.
I saw pics of snow just outside Washington DC this weekend. Looks like there was a lot of it.
more than we'd seen in two years. Last year we barely had a winter at all.
we had a dusting. i'd say half- 1"
i had ro get the car washed, though, the roads were loaded wirh salt. mostly they were brined, bur parking lots cheap out and use salt
Nasty for cars.
new car wash, hope they really did wash the undercarriage. how would i know?
One of the things I learnt here was that electronic equipment has a shorter life span because of the salt in the air from the sea.
Help with lo 6/21 pls?
yes.salr water is very corrosive
shrimp lo6 -- chinese noodles
bbs, time to put the trash out.
i cannnot believe enable takes that
Thanks DC - had to guess that from your clue. Never heard of it.
LOL
first clue for this grid. 54 left. bbs, time to take out the trash before i get comfier.
I went from the chinese dish beginin
beginning with chow
we had no trash collection today due to the snow. So recycilng next week. Hopefully trash on Thursday.
chow one is cabbage, lo one is noodles, at least here from Guangdong cuisine.
OK - thanks. I'll try to remember that.
HAH@ Just found the 9
WTG
That's ridiculous. All the common re words that enable doesn't accept then it accepts the first re 6 /7!
7s complete. 4 words to go.
does anyone here use outlook via msn?
Enable is pretty ridiculous.
Not me.
i don't, alas
I hate Outlook. I only use it at work because I am forced to.
I definitely wouldn't argue with that, Molly. resit gets me every time. Didn't the compilers of enable ever resit an exam?
it's awful. just changed again and cannot view mail, they want me to pay for ad free mail.
do you think it's outlook or microsoft's issue?
Hope you can find a way around that TO.
meaining msn as mail provider?
right now, i'd settle for my junk mail loading
we jad outlook at work.speaking of sucky e thibgs, is anyone watching Valley of the Boom on Nat Geo?
Fireworks.
grats, liz.
Thanks. Any clues needed before I go?
how about stats for the 9?
he 9/72
i have tried heinies. no dice.

is it a foreign word? like one of those scots words enable so loves?
is it a foreign word? like one of those scots words enable so loves?
is it a foreign word?
yes, why not?
No
To do with the the blood system of a slug or other invertebrates.
Flask gave a really good clue by mistake!
gee, thanks. :)
I'd never have found it!
good night, liz, see you tomorrow. I am going to list now, in hopes of getting something else done besides this grid tonight
Good luck. I'm about to start on discovering diamond painting.
well, i know the latin for blood so we'll go from there.
what is diamond painting?
The 4 letter part contains 2 vowels in the middle.
It's a bit like painting by numbers but with faceted beads. Dizgrannie and Jessmom recommended it.
oh ty and good luck
did you post flask's clue?
he9 blood prefix + Old King ____ was a merry old .... but misspell the Old King word. Then plural

and would you believe it? our frig has gone into overdrive and is freezing EVERYTHING, including my cask of wine.
WTG MIXI6 !!
yay mixi! oh no granny
lol.... it was, last night, one chip or two of wine dear?
and it, of course, froze our lettuce, which, as you know, turns to green slime when thawed.... yuck !
when we got our fancy new fridge for the kitchen we had them move the one that came with the house down to the basement for extra storage. It recently developed the same problem, to the point of exploding about 30 bottles of my root beer stash
aw, bummer, Dan
oh no dan... that's a disaster.
The wine will thaw and be fine, rose
it was time to replace it, but I could have wished for an easier-to-clean-up way to be alerted
i bet it was as sticky as, Dan.
thanx for the reassurance seain.
sticky, glass shards, soaked cardboard. more ammunition for mrs2bit to question my hoarding habits :-)
meanwhile we have rose popsicles.... anyone want one?
yum!
*grin* Dan... and i bet she didn't let the opportunity go ...
ruru, you still here?
*grin*
nope he's gone...i wanted to tell him... my profile pic is of my grand-daughter, 4 years old, with DH. she is the daughter of my eldest son, the one who hadn't spoken to me for over 12 years. yes, he crossed the bridge of his own making and i am now well and truly ensconced as granny in his household.
oh that's great!
she's a beauty
my family is now complete. *happy sigh*
i should have said 4 going on 40...
which i know that you, Dan, understand completely.

(((BUGS))) Thanks for going to Jill's memorial.
Grannyrose! I read back--you're grand is lucky to be living with you.
hello pam.
hey granny and pam and eveyone else here, even unintentional lurkers
We are all well. I am a bit sore, finally convinced my doc that the LAST thing I need is another crackpot orthopedist, and I need a physical therapist. My arms and legs are SO SORE from the exercises, but he actually listened and understood!!! **bounce bounce** there's hope for the old gal yet!
I discovered that she left this world on her own terms just as she had lived - with dignity and surrounded by people who love her.

Hi Bugs
I am so glad you went, bugs, thank you. Jill was one of my favorite people... and I am a much better person for having known her.
thanks pam and all.
Glad you are feeling better stid
hey origami. I am glad you are doing well with giving up cigarettes. It is a long journey but so worth it.
nice icon painting ori
Working on it, Bugs. It ain't easy :D
Thank you.
it definately ain't easy which is why I admire your effort and level of success
((origami)) hope you are successful with quitting. I know you will feel much healthier.
Had a rough week last week and back-slid a bit - but am on the straight and narrow again
Two steps forward, one step back, three steps forward.... like a dance. :-)
good for you. slips happen but it doesn't mean you should give up the whole effort. I have a friend who does that when she goes off her diet. To me it is not honouring all the effort it took in the first place
Like the cha-cha stids :D
exactly stid
GMTA, bugs!
hello everyone. thoughts and prayers appreciated for me right now, feeling particularly crappy at the moment.
I used to love to cha cha... I am hoping that if I can get strong enough I could dance again a little bit. :-) Probably not a full-on tango though! LOL
coming at you hurshy. when I have times like this I hold onto And this too shall pass. It always does
HURSHY!!! :-D Now my new year is complete. Wish you felt better, though. *sending hot soup and cookies for when you are better*

yeah i just hope i can survive intact long enough for it to pass
You are on the right path by asking for help. Don't forget to ask for help where you live as well. Long distance hugs don't feel the same.
What bugs said
Oh, hurshy … Although I don't know you "in person," please email me any time you want to vent. I am a good listener.
what ori said
hurshy, I also like to remember Leonard Cohen's line for if you don't survive "intact" --- There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in.
I love that song.

Holding you in my thoughts, Hurshy And Origami, every step forward is a good one and the slips mean you're human. :)
