thank you. I had known my friend Norm for about 45 years. He was from Brooklyn but settled in Cleveland in the late 60s. I used to joke that he is responsible for me saying cawfee , tawk, and awwright. Other than that I have a perfect midwest accent
it's always awful when you lose an important friend
He played sax, flute, and clarinet in more bands than I can name. He was my son't clarinet teacher, too. He had a talent for bad jokes, but also for being supportive and kind. He had played a gig just two weeks ago. A week ago he was diagnosed with cancer, and this morning he passed away.
That's such a long friendship. So sad :(

Esophygeal cancer. The same thing happened to my uncle some years back. Same dx, and he dies within weeks.
I'm still in a state of disbelief. We didn't talk too often, tho always if I was taking a trip by train. We both liked trains.

I am okayish. Had a really bad day yesterday. After the meeting, I sat down and did a tremendous lot of calling instances etc, though, so it was not a waste of precious time.

today is busy. Shopping groceries, walking terra, cooking for two days, and more work on the house. Tomorrow and the day after will be better though, I can focus on the move and do not have to worry about other things
sunday meeting ended badly, some fellow felt the need to tell me 'the' rules for conduct in meetings and forgot to tell that they are just 'her' rules and nobody else's. Triggered some old shit and especially the feeling of hearing one thing while picking up on the underlying message.
praying for a restful night after then. *sigh* i am so frustrated that i cannot be with you to help. i do pack a mean box you know.
