Wordracer Stats: 117 words, one 8, twelve 7's. Remember these are usually off by a word or two.
Thank you Krys10. Good to know.
And a very good morning to you!
testing123, what time zone are you in? it's still night for me, just sent my last client home twenty minutes ago. So, I have this dorky habit when I play this game: looking for at least one word that's a repeat from yesterday's list. So far I've always been able to do it. I've already found one for today's puzzle :) I have a sprained thumb and shouldn't be typing!
You are right, I think, there are always repeats! :) I am in Europe, Holland. It is half past eight in the morning, time to feed my children and get them ready for school. Pleasant dreams to you, then!
G7/32 and M7/40 as well.
I regret 'regrets' isn't in there. :-((
r8/45
negro isn't there
how kindly pc of babble
Didn't know 'negro' was an incorrect word.
Woo-hoo... my Baby Sistah is #10 on the list... WTG, Marianne.
s7 28
e7 28 to plead
Hi Christine, I surprised myself on the rankings but I shall never be as good as sprite.
Christine meant to say my clever Daughter in Law Liz is doing very good as well. Clever family all round
r7 28 withdraw, pull back
r6/7 member (s) of university governing body
any clues for the R8 please.
something to dissolve substances
Good evening testing123! I think negro would be omitted because it's typically capitalized. I've been culling clues - I've got some sevens to hunt! But I have R7-32 x2 and R7-28 x2.
Moooi :D
Hi Ashy, welcome - quite a hard grid today. Find some words for us, please! S
Mal, *blush* it is only because of all the help here and all the wonderful clues that I get the opportunity to finish a grid. Sometimes there are words I really never would have thought up myself without help. :-)
s7 28 more strict
7 q-words already! This is fun!
T7/32 encampment
Anyone out there with detailed stats? I tried to get them myself but couldn't figure out a good way to do it without reading all the words...
Oh, what a nice E7/32! I am even more enthusiastic to find this one.
T7/40 at that place
G7/44 females of the red grouse
sprite should edit crossword puzzles, keep them coming!!!btw thanks)
*lol* This is so much more fun! I used to make crosswords, actually, for a while... but in dutch.
sprite, i never would have thought to try that T7-40! I think we have all the biggies now: E7-32 E7-28 G7-44 G7-32 M7-40 R7-32x2 R7-28x2 R8-45 S7-28 T7-32 T7-40
Drop the T and you have another one... a 6 of course. I like this grid!
A really strange M5/26 that was in another grid, recently: aromatic gum resin, aka balm of Gilead. I'll never forget that one, had to look for it too long that first time! ;-))
got my 100 Im a happy camper now
just think frankincense
Thanks stevedallas. That made me get it much faster than the gum arabic clue would have!
Took a print of this grid to work today... had to sit through a boring course. It helped! If the wordracer stats of Krys10 are right, I need one other word... but which??? I'll do a letter count.
Hey, just dropping by to print the grid, so no time to do the stats. But if someone else wants to, the way I avoid seeing them is to squint while copying into a word document, then change the font to wingdings. That way I can count starting symbols without reading the words.
I have this so far, one missing: A x5 E x13 G x16 H x11 M x4 N x4 O x3 Q x7 R x15 S x10 T x25 Y x3 Total 116.
Parsec, that is brilliant!
Found it, I forgot a plural. The list needs one more T. 117 words / 4.97 / 1625 points
word lengths: 8 x 1 7 x 12 6 x 19 5 x 35 4 x 50
parsec, that's so smart! I will try the wingdings thing this evening when we have a new grid.
Sprite, care to hint those q's? We've only got 2! S
The Qs go: 6-4-4-5-6-5-4. Two words for inquiry, a verb (stop)and some nouns. One plural, primitive grain mill(s).
I have 3 N's (4,6,4) and 2 O's (4,5). Need one of each!
There's a ne5
N's: 4-5-6-4 O's: 4-5-6
Last letter for me... Te4x4 Te5x2 Te6x1 Te7x1 Th4x2 Th5x3 Th6x1 Th7x1 To4x3 To5x2 To6x1 Tr5x1
Thanks, got the grain mill(s), google helped a bit. So I see we have the last 4. Looking for more. S
Te4 x5
Te5 x4
If you miss the 1st Q, try oldfashioned/classical spelling.
Whoo, found them all. Thank you sprite! It helps a lot when you know the alphabetical order. S
Still missing that last T...
TH5x4
sprite just returned to the grid I still think your the "Bees knees"even with help I dont always get the words. Take a bow
Sorry, forgot to mention the Th5 x4. Door rang...
If I'd blush any more vehemently, my head would explode, Mal... but thanks for the compliment!
Your welcomed sprite.
cant find the red grouse
the real winner of the 2000 us election plus a female chicken minus a letter in the middle
Are there really 4xTE5??? It's my last word, and I'm stymied. I have the bird, the plural camping gear and the upper dorsal surface.
Doh! Found it. I was missing the plural of the other spelling of the bird. How obvious!!!! Same score as sprite.
