*leaving hug in chat for my bestie, sprite*
good morning all
Hi Sprite! A few more minutes till midnight here. I just popped in!
hi Kam :) *hug*
I am just back home from the gp, just took my meds so things should be better in about 30 mins
Hope all will be better soon, then. I'm having a bit of a rough time...Michael's dad passed last night.
I'm grateful he's finally at peace.
aw sweetie! I am so sorry, for your loss. No matter the situation, it is still a big loss.
He had 94 years here, and most of them good years. The last one, not so good. The last few days he kept talking about seeing his wife again - I so hope that's what happens when we start our next journey.
ah yes, I hope so too. It makes sense in a way, doesn't it... love is the one thing that never ceases.
how is Michael doing with it?
I think he grieved a long time ago when dad started going downhill. Everyone handles it differently. I asked him today how he manages to stay so calm..."years of practice."
He walks the Red Road.
yeah I do understand that. We lose people in other ways than through death. I have seen it in my friend with Alzheimer. Your beloved walks his talk :)
I'm so distracted - took me forever to find the 2nd Z
small wonder, honey
My attention span is like a 3 yr old today. Can't sleep, having trouble relaxing. I keep thinking about my mom - at least we had a final goodbye - Dad was unconscious the last two days. Guess that was a blessing for him though.
death brings back memories and emotions of other deaths as well. Please be kind to yourself, Kam, it will take time.
Yeah, it's not something you deal with on a regular basis unless you're in the health care field. When I lost my dad back in the 80s, I was a basket case for at least a week - couldn't work, couldn't *not* work...just couldn't....
yes and even when you work in the health care, it is still different when it is someone close to you
We'll be ok, but thanks for the input. I'm just feeling a little lost. I'll let it rest for now, but if I need to email you, I will.
please do. *hugs* Give my condoleances to your beloved as well.
I shall, thanks. *Big hugs*
fireflies. To you all, a blessed day and a peaceful night. *extra hug for Kam* *leaves hug in chog for rose to find*

Oh, there is a definition I wish I had not looked up. gl5/14...discharge from a wound, persistent gonorrhea or inflammation of horse nasal passages. Ugh.
I gl5d at Molly for that disgusting definition.

Hey Ru, I was online briefly the other day when the Babbleland attack occurred. I just want to chime in and say that I consistently find your brand of humor to be spot on. You make me chuckle (and I guess you should add at least 100 groans to your count, just for me). I am sickened by the politically correct climate of today when no one is allowed to have a thought that is not group sanctioned. I happen to enjoy off-color (not profane), clever comments and you are the king. We are all adults here and can choose to close the browser at any time. The kinds of comments that ARE offensive are the personal attacks. THAT is never ok.... You just keep on being Ru :)
What happened?
gl 4/6 5/14 7/40
Well said lexophile...
... 4/6 ... happy, singing ... tv show .... add a consonent for the 5 ... past tense for the 7
Bichon, Ru was punning around and made a comment that was directly related to the topic of discussion, but made someone squirm. That person (to whom the comment was not directed) threw an absolute hissy fit and lectured about propriety, etc. I found the diatribe shocking and offensive. Anyway, our little Babbleland has its own Peyton Place moments.
I hope peope here take it easy, and not be provocative.
ty dose
.... welcome
gosh.. thank you lexophile.. that's nice to read
the funniest thing about it was i was trying to write pussycat but hit send before i read it.. but it doesn't take too much to rile up certain people here
I must say that I did initially grimace, but you were talking about a cat!!!
yeah, ru created quite the kerfuffle... :)
Yep, Ru is King of the Kerfuffle :)
I wasn't here at the time. Cringe worthy to hear
as long as I make people laugh.. that's the point.
i JOKE
all the time
referred to as "ruffle"...
but thank you for commenting
lol boj
I am not a pun lover. But, being married to Mr. B, that's hard
I always appreciate Ru's humor. As previously stated, those who don't are free to turn off chat while he is here.
not that i haven't run the red line or up to the edge of tolerance here most of the time.. but i rarely go over the edge.. in this case it was a mistake in typing and not a rude comment
god bless mr bichon..
I should have spoken up at the time, but I was literally on my way out the door
i'm not sure it would have helped anyway.. lexo.. that person just has her agenda and stalks the chat for an opportunity to jump on people for nearly anything
i have to run out to work now.. thank you lexo.. have a nice day
good morning everyone :)
Hi nan
guess I missed all the excitement in the chat :D
If our beloved president can say it, it must be an acceptable word!
I've decided to post any comments in my profile -- those who are interested can look and those that aren't can be left out
Think of all the limericks w could write incorporating that word, trump and hussy
Melania the hussy, Trump who grabs p****, etc
Haven't seen one of your poems for a while ruby 😉
I just learned that dogs and cats can take xanax
I give my Marco Trazodone for night fears
Rufe panics when he hears firecrackers thrown in the field above the house
Hi chrissie
Yes, there's that. We live between two wedding venues. Every weekend night is terror city
That's the only up side of our elderly yorkie going deaf, not upset by loud noises
Oh dear, it would appear someone has recently had humour bypass!!
Earlier, he wedged himslf into a narrow space between an armchair and a table and had to back out
Poor rufe
to 6-7 following the cake please?
Same first three letters then add first three of a 12 inch measuring stick + vowel. Plus two vowels for the 7
sorry molly - got lost in that one - coming up with torrule or torule neither of which is accepted
change vowel for the second you included...
then add a vowel....

Hello everyone
Hello, Lil*monkey :-)
My mom is visiting me here in Newport News VA.
We're going out for Indian food tonight.
I hope you have a wonderful time!
Thank you! Looking forward to some Tandoori salmon, garlic naan bread, and chicken tikka masala!
Now that does sound yummy!
I had a tomato soup today and a sandwich. no where near as nice of what you are going to have haha!
Anytime my mom & I get together, there will be wine and delicious food :)
Yesterday we had crabcakes & a bottle of wine at an amazing waterfront restaurant.
Do you see your mom much over the year?
Yes about 1-2 times/ month. But this time I have brought here to where I live. Usually I go visit her where she lives, which is about 3 hours away.
Nice! I bet she is enjoying the new surroundings. And it is always nice to show your loved ones all the nice places you like to go to.
She is not easily impressed haha
Oh! lol
But so far, she has liked it here.
That is good then.
Okay that is me done. Last two words was TO 6/21 & plural. Have a great time, Lil*monkey!
THank you zoom!
tx zoo, would never have got that without the stats
An hour since the last post. I’ve just watched the last episode of Orange is the new black on Netflix. Very emotional.
The series waxed & waned, but overall, I’d recommend it.
hi all, back to finish. I love Indian Food

Hi Harry, how is life in the hood?

hi molly.
HI Soodle

listing.
They predicted big rain here today too. A whole lot of hoo-hah about nothing.
sm5? are you serious?

I know Harry. It's a daily thing here in Babble.
ends like a big furry spider, peri
ty Harry
Good clue Harry.
:)
we just got a few sprinkles here
yes us as well.
gotta run. 6 to go
We just had a small storm with some rain, but apparently just north of us they had like 70mph winds, hail, etc. Looks like about 1/16" in the rain gauge. Seemed like more.
We had torrential rain and crazy thunder and lightning!!
Dry as a bone and 103 here :-(
hello friends
well we had a feels like of 100 before the storm
gosh!
count for the e in the second column, please? It's probably a huge fish, but I can't see it
Yep.....heat index of 100 before the storm......heat and humidity have been horrendous.....was 90 last night at 10:00pm
yeah, I would take dry and 103 any day. lol.
clue for the last re 6/21 please
77 now after the storm!
2nd column e's are ed5 & 6
ed5 and 6 trif.. a skin condition
well, if you count a bruise or swelling as a skin condition
re6/21 like if you had soaked something like flax
I don't get it. What else would a bruise or a swelling be?
well I guess it is the condition your skin is in, but "skin condition" makes me think of eczema and such.
i don't know about swelling.. but...
Greetings, Earth beings.
