Goforit, you are an angel! Quite a grid, this one...
the list looked like more than 283 words ... i was expecting it to come out in the 400 range. Now i'm tempted to play ...
Yes, this looks manageable - but only just! ;-)
Starting letters of the biggies I found so far: L8/50, L8/45 P8/50 P8/60 - 9/78 R8/60 - 9/78 S8/50 T8/45
the BiggieStats: 9's: P, R, U 8's: A,E,G,i,L,L, P,P,P R,S,S,T I've been fiddling with my report so my stats give me that info (first time i've tried it out, so not positive if it's right) ... now all i have to do is find the words ...
*lol* Nice experiment, shortseer. Gives me something to aim for, and a direction to look into... great!
i8/45
Yeah, thanks to your list, shortseer: found the U9/60. Spotless.
yes, just got it too
A7/32 - 8/45 combo
E7/32 - 8/45 combo Looks like your experiment works like a charm, shortseer.
I think it's going to prove very useful for the letters with high word counts. It's certainly helping me work through the T's : T4 x19 T5 x10 T6 x9 T7 x5 T8 x1 ===== 44
Am looking for the G8 now. This is much more fun than yesterday!
G7/32 - 8/45 combo, same ending as the A7/8.
Found another P8/50, a word I did not know. A variety of feldspar. The first 5 letters are the same as in the other P8/50, but the words are not related. I think.
And the final 8: S8/55; opposed or resistant to change. Also a new word for me.
i'm still working on the T's 6 more T's to go ...
Just joined you, but am way behind in the Ts. Found 4 T7s though, one more to go.
Got all the Ts, thanks to your list.
200 words, 3334 points. Time for a break!
A quite strange S6/21 meaning "defensive earthwork around hollow". Add one letter to an S5/12 meaning "Abyssinian ox". Educative grid today, at least for me!
or is that "educational"?

The first 5 letters are the same as in the other P8/50, but the words are not related. P8/9: appeal(s) R8/9: eagerness(es) for plunder S8: status S8: opposed or resistant to change T7/8: straight line(s) or plane(s) that touch(es) a curve or curved surface at a point but do(es) not intersect it at that point (math term) U9: spotless
ha! wow! thanks bunches sprite!! i wasnt expecting all that!
*lol* I realised that the log didn't contain many clues, only points and wordlengths. Good hunting!
Oh, and maybe a better clue for the S6/21: if you use another first letter, you could park aircraft in it. ;-)
I cant find the E7 and E8, I can never find E words.
Treble99, try starting with the greek prefix for 'good' or 'sweet'.
great clues sprite, thanks
E6/7 stopping point(s)
trying to enter the S5/12 (abyssinian ox) and it tells me its not a valid word. anyone else have this trouble?
never mind...guess i had a different spelling!
cant find the liver enzyme
The spelling with A at the end is valid.
methinks my brain is falling asleep...hehe...
For the liver enzyme: start with sea bird dung, then change the last letter into a typical ending for enzymes.
thanks sprite
thanks sprite
I don't know if anyone hit this yet. There is an i8 that means flood (not water flood)
The A-Stats: A4 x12 A5 x7 A6 x4 A7 x2 A8 x1 ==== 26
is there a clue for the A/8?
At 08:28 am sprite said... A7/8: purine base(s) (chemical words)
thanks, I can't get it from that clue. will keep looking.
i'm still working on it too
A7/A8 sing./pl. A major purine base; in animal and plant cells it usually occurs condensed with ribose or deoxyribose to form the nucleosides adenosine and deoxyadenosine. Heh. My last words in the grid. I was fixated on putting in adenosine ... i should have been looking lower down the building-block food chain.
marigold, are you still playing?
damn....168 words so far.....where are the 121 more?
