This is not the place for religious rantings
I printed a bible reading for my wife and somehow picked it up by accident. I will watch the dialog box more carefully.

Can't find what is going wrong. That bible text was one I printed for my wife, but it's not even on screen. I have given up using Lickety's Beta program now. Maybe I'll switch off and hope that clears it. Very annoying!
you probably did a cut and paste and it's popping in that way
That's what is odd. I just typed and printed - no need to copy at all.
Rebooted now so hope that will clear it.

I keep getting red bars re connection error or word cannot be added. I sent a message to Dr. God. it is very irritating
Good day all. There has been a misconception in the chat I have seen a few times. Broll decidedly does NOT do the puzzle "cold turkey" (apt phrase with Thanksgiving coming up), or finish without a list! When I do the puzzle at the flip (a habit I am trying to break), I play catch-up with grannyrose and many others who post stats and lists if Lickety is not available, contributing if I can. I use Lickety's list every day it is available, after I have at least 1/2 the words from each tile and each letter count, and 2/3 of the words overall. I probably wouldn't finish otherwise! I post the list if necessary after others have done most of the work, that's all!
tyvm broll
No Lickety today?
roose
well there goes my Broll theory :D
Hope that didn't sound like a rant, but honestly some of the players amaze me!
aw dart.. skip this one and enjoy your holiday :D

I should be cleaning toilets...but I'm not!
well I made it back from my bike ride in one piece, so I've got that going for me
Yea! Carla! I hope you wore a helmet!
of course
I did have a small wreck where my back tire hit a root parallel and the bike slid out from under me, but I landed on my feet.
LOL! An knee pads and shoulder pads while covered in bubble wrap...
not a bad idea
Elbow pads too.
I had some bad wrecks when I was younger, but now I live by "when in doubt, chicken out".
My 73 year old husband wants to go to MLK in Jan or Feb to the slopes with son and grandson. I told him he could go as long as he stayed in the lodge.
Good credo, Carla.
One of my friends goes skiing with her mother and another lady every year. the mother & other lady are both in their 70s. That is crazy to me. I don't even want to ski now at 46 because I am so accident prone.
I just don't want his SS to end.=)
No, i'm just kidding. I do not know what I would do without him...ever...
I always hope I go first.
hmmm, Bea making us ponder deep things today
I'm sorry. It has been one of those days. Sometimes, I wonder if there are any more people I can take care of in this world. And why do I feel like it is all left to me to take care of them.
Keep digging that hole bigger...=) Sorry.
You do do a lot of care taking it seems. I'm sure everyone appreciates it and is thankful to have you helping!
Thanks, Carla. I hope so.
Off to clean toilets..I've been looking for doodoo in the grid...Guess I'll find it in the bathrooms. LOL!

I'm going to bear my soul here, and I do not want any one to pity me or feel sorry...My momma's family was a big influnece in my life. They still are even though most of them are gone. Thanksgiving was the holiday we all celebrated together. I miss them terribly even though most of them are celebratng the holiday somewhere else.
Oh, and it's Tuesday, November 26th. (PM)
Hope you are enjong
Hope you are enjoing Aussie land, mkg.
hope you can find some peace this week Bzzn - loss is always magnified at holiday time
Christmas was that way for me too Bea. Now it's just me. It's hard sometimes and I do miss my mother even though she has been gone 20+ years.
Thank you. I do have peace. But I still miss those imprtant people.
of course!
*Sending some holiday light to Bea (and an extra holiday bottle, just for her) : D
loving it! went to whitehaven beach yesterday. on hamilton island. you all need to put those places onto your bucket list.
My mom now lives with me and my husband. I LOVE having her here. I was asking her about a recipe my grandma always made. She knew exactly what I was talking about. I have been looking for that recipe forever! We will be having it for Christmas.
Although it sounds a bit trite, it is good to take stock of all the people you have in your life, and all the joy they can bring, even if they are virtual. Of course, if they are real people you can touch, that's even better. Perhaps it's time to find people near you to share the time with. There are most likely people who would enjoy your company who are also looking to share. Shelters, churches, nursing centers, etc., might be very glad to see you. And don't forget animal shelters.
Thanks, Molly. I know you had a rough day...Hope you are home and safe.
agree totally
dQAN2BIT, OTHERS, i ADMIRE YOU ALL SO MUCH BUT SELDOM SPEAK UP--i PUT YOU IN POEMS IN ILLINOIS
Thank you, java. I was just asking my bff's if there was ANYONE else I could take care of. Our community is in such desperate need.
times , frequently--to know me, read my books though I don't write about myself.
I have elderly neighbors I visit several times a week and take them meals or baked goods. My husband and I volunteer 20 hours a week to different organizations. I just took an entire Thanksgiving meal to a famil in need. I work very closely with the local animal shelter in spaying/neutering feral cats in my neighborhood/community.
This is TMI, but...If I weren't post-menopasual by about 20 years, I would say I was about ready to have my monthly...=)
Bea, you make the world a better place. I wish there were more people like you and Mr. Bea
Bless you all and I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Signing off for today! <smooch>
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately in one way), there are people all around us who need help. Sometimes they are hard to find. And sometimes they are hard to help. But sometimes, all anyone needs is a friend, someone to listen, someone to care. And pretty much, we can all do that. Sometimes, all it means is a smile as we pass each other in a store.
Thank you, Molly.
What is the recipe your Mom found?
Bea, you are a blessing to all who are fortunate enough to know you.

Peach, if you are still around, I posted Broll's list in my profile. Lickety is having power outage problems. Thanks to Liz for updating us on that.
A pleasure, Molly. Thanks also to Rose Broll Anike and others who helped compile the list. All I did was write an email!
And of course, thanks Molly for posting the list.

And now a short break to allow everyone to get over that excess of gratefulness
I'm grateful for one of the few places left on the internet that people can still chat and communicate. And gratitude to Dr. God for keeping it alive and LIckety for posting our lists. Thanks to all.
