Name that Proper Noun: Goddess of magic
hera(?) ... phantom Hecate(?)
Hecate
Ummm, I don't see Hecate; but a good answer: kinda get a prize for answering :)
... no Hecate
... no ... Hecate is a goddess of magic or at least witchcraft but she is only almost in the grid
I didn't see it either. But thought maybe you did. =)
... even Freja (or one of her alternate spellings) is only almost in the grid
Circe
Bea, it's a bonus day for you. Your fish and your plants.
... of course ... well done
I know!
And I found them right away!
phantom horcrux
My phantom is circuit

Did you find your Russian ruler today, Carla?
Good morning, Judi.
of course not, thanks
today is also slow going for me. 59 left
do you know what the 8 is, bea?
I have 44 left, but I've been running of to do this little chore or that one...
*Puts on The B-52's "Roam" for the global citizens
They were one of the strangest groups to see in concert.
I bet
I have the album with Roam on it (drawing a blank on the name). There are a lot of good songs on there, but they are strange.
ur7...oh es ist deutsch
The B-52's are anything but run of the mill : D
finding this grid really hard
me too, suzee
getting nothing but static
It is all the R's for me.

cr8.55
If you have a gluten free girlfriend is she your GFGF?
Ar7?

ar7 - part of a circle + consumed with a vowel thrown in
grids like this make me realize I need to read the dictionary more :)
that consumed word is suffix du jour
thanks Bea
i just hang around with smart people suzee that helps me
thanks bea
lol
Suz, it will only help if you read the Enable dictionary.
*sends suzee the book of babblets*
Yeah, hey, memorize the Enable word list and these grids will be a snap
Enable word list, not even a dictionary
hehee
Last night in my bedtime reading, I learned what they do if a passenger on an airplane dies while plane is in flight.
where is the enable word list?
I will take a clue for the cr8. so many directions it could go and I'm not seeing it.
The Enable Word List, brought to you by Word Nerds 'R Us.
oh, the mortician book, bea?
... knee ligament
It is the C in ACL, knee ligament
suzee, google enable word list and you might find it from 2004-ish
thanks you guys
cr8: shaped like a cross
cr8: shaped like a cross
i kneeded that one
thx, dos. got it
now I ned to know what they do when someone dies on a plane?
ruru, I kneel before you and your skill of always being ready with a pun
they put them in super economy
They leave them in their seat and cover them with a blanket.
omg the phantom for me today is eruct!
oh weird
Unless they stow safely under the seat.
LOL
LOL
I wonder if they offer them a stiff drink
If you have Babble Expert, the enable word list is in the resources tab on the top
wow, that would stink if you are next to them. do they try to relocate live ones?
part of a circle? cu*** or ar*?
No, but they get charged for the blanket.
ar, mlfan. that's what the word starts with
at least they won't have to go through airport security anymore
Planes are so jam packed with passengers now. I doubt there would be a seat someone could move to.
ty got it
(very true judi)
That's probably what killed them in the in the first place.
... I saw Diamonds Are Forever ru ... I'd bet they get an even closer look in airport security
Years ago my sister's husband worked for an airline so they were able to fly anywhere in the world for free. Problem was that after he came home too many times with the grizzly inside info on plane crashes, she became afraid of flying. The solution (for her) was to sit in the cockpit behind the captain and co-pilot. She wasn't allowed to talk, eat or go to the water closet. AND THEY LET HER. Way before 911 and all that came after to the world of flying.
we recently flew from Concord NC (2 gates) to Tampa/St Pete. that was so awesome. I wish I could fly everywhere from there.
i fly all the time thanks a lot swmbo
I like the airport in Jacksonville, NC. And the one in Wichita, KS.
Not allowing someone to go to the water closet seems unnecessarily cruel.
agreed judi
I fly all the time too. Did my story make you afraid of flying?
we rarely fly since we take our motorhome everywhere, and flying doesn't make me nervous, but I get extremely nervous at the airport.
The point was that she was not to distract them in anyway, even by getting up and going to the john. She loved watching them fly the plane and she said it made her feel safer.
not really
but it is so much more difficult to fly now post 9/11
Absolutley. But safer I think.
agreed ruru i haven't flown anywhere in years
Flying is easy. Getting through security is the biggest pain in the ass. Take off the shoes, get scanned, get wanded, grab all your stuff out of the bins, put shoes back on. Uhg.
my husband's a pilot and I can confirm that it feels much less scary when I sit next to him in the cockpit and he talks me through what he's doing. These are small planes though, no way would anyone be able to sit in the cockpit on a commercial flight
exactly judi
I had to have my hair braid searched by TSA for one flight.
last column t above the f stats pls?
bzz that is creepy
get a PRE status judi and keep your shoes on
Some people try to smuggle drugs in their hair/wigs, Bea.
judi among other things
SORRY E below the f stats please?
Time for a break. 56 left.
tr5.14
... tr 5/14 tr 4/4
i haven't moved to look at lickety and i am typing in words again that i know i already typed in
hi dose ty
te 4/5 tr4/7
People try to smuggle drugs in a lot weirder places than their hair.
I flew to Jamaica once with a cast on my arm. they pulled me aside in CLT to do a test on it. then in Jamaica on the way back, they put me in a room and I waited for a long time and then finally they came in and said the person that does the test wasn't there so then they let me go.
Finally greyed the C's...crikeys!
in chat earlier i saw a word that someone thought was the 8. the word that was put in the chat is also an adj but not the right word.*****fiction?
wow, bea. I still need 11 + 3
Sorry, mlf...No idea what you are referring.
i think i need 24?
I don't know what you're referring to from earlier but the 8 is the c in ACL and MCL- knee ligaments
ah ty hokie i saw that too in earlier chat
got it
wow, it is windy here again
and I keep seeing metric even though there's no m
Any one seen the standing broom trick?
I guess. years ago. you can get a broom to stand on its own a certain day of the year? but you can actually do it any time with the right broom.
same as standing egg
*Picks up the pieces of Bea's burst bubble
Should have used the broom, Molly. =)
bea tends to brush off comments like that molly :D
I'm down to one T...
i'm stuck with thirty to go
Found it...
*Pictures people everywhere trying to make brooms and eggs stand up. I sense an excess of spare time.
Tx for the cr8!
I'm stuck with 37 left
stuck with 15 left
so you weren't really stuck earlier :P
i sure was
i'm getting one word at a time and it's slow gooing
I am now stuck at 35 :D
the c's are most of my problem
*Cues up Steeler's Wheel - Stuck In The Middle With You
ooh, finished the f's. 34 left ;)
Yes, those C's were problematic.
*Will not comment on Ru gooing
goo idea molly
You can always count on me to be a goo egg
upstanding egg
being and upstanding egg isn't all it's cracked up to be
hello again
still 34 left - now this is slow gooing
ooh, 33
Dehydrating zoodles. Wish I knew that when I was growing support zucchini.
are you on pinterest again? and you can dehydrate zoodles? eat them like chips? I never get an overabundance of zucchini like people talk about.the squirrels eat the blossoms.
do you stuff the blossoms with cheese and deep fry them for the squirrels? that's the best way
going to the list
Of course, I'm on pinterest. =) Dehydrate and store then add to soups or pasta sauce. They rehydrate.
no need, the squirrels will just eat them as is, but that does sound delish
squirrels are a pain in the ass
Yes, they are...
yes
they also started stealing my baby peaches off my peach tree, but then it got a fungus and they all shriveled up
I'm going to get started on my list of things to do today. Make it a great day, friends!
i'm going to net my trees this summer from birds and squirrels
bye bea have a great day too
you too, bea!
good idea, ru. I'm going to have to do something.
It is difficult, trying to find the right thing that will get rid of pests.
I don't mind sharing with the birds, but when they take one big peck out of every plum on my tree I get mad. They leave the citrus, apples and peaches alone.
I'm baffled by the last cr5. I swear I have tried every possible thing. Is this one of those weird words without vowels or something?
c + our guy Mr. Rocks + most of a cheer
wow, did not get the Mr. Rocks part until I got the word, but I knew what it should start with and got the last part. thanks.
apparently I hadn't tried everything
Ru, no one thinks of you as Mr. Rocks. That clue never works.
managed to get the ur6/7 with the point total for fireworks. never heard that word before
I was like, Chris? no, that's just Rock.
well, I'm off to the grocery store. TTFN.
i can see that molly..
... hokie ... it was in the grid once before ... I can remember the 10 minute chat about what it might mean
It is German

mool my husband and I cant keep track either
and of course flight delyaed yet again....3 out of my last 4 flights delayed
yeah, t'is the way of things ML, glad I'm not alone
got the cr5
mool is the Midwest part of your travel thru>
yeah, I'm in Cleveland right now
but the delay isn't weather related
not weather related? wow you get lucky don't you lol?
maybe you should try another airline?
yeah, last week it was a 6 hour delay going out to SFO for a hydraulic pump in engine 1
hen on the way back it was first a 2 hour delay because of a missing captain, then another 40 minutes in DEN for a frozen jetway
then today it's "technical issues"
I was supposed to take off 2 hours ago
but now expected to go in about an hour
you should have someone else travel for you you keep jinxing things for yourself:D
yeah, it's all me right now
there were 60 flights on the board when I looked, 5 delayed and 1 cancelled...so I'm beating the odds
don't you feel important?
obviously I'm a flight delay god
apparently you are mool
supposed to fly to Newark on Thursday....trying to get out of that :)
some places in the east are having rain some are having snow as far as I know
yeah, was snowing when I left Denver Sunday...snowing when I arrived in Cleveland Sunday night
just overcast right now
it looks pretty when it comes down from the sky
we had snow tow days in a row, nothing stuck
yeah, it was interesting flying through it....horizontal snow
we have rain here in nc today and next few days
we have about 4 inches on the ground at home right now
horizontal? fun!
shoveled 4 driveways and most of the block before I left on Sunday
almost excoriate
if you keep getting delayed is their really any point to going at all? is their another way to do your work besides traveling?
sometimes yes, but at the moment it's a lot about face time
oh that must have been fun shoveling snow? did you volunteer?
Well two of my neighbors were out of town, and there's also an older lady on the block...so seeing as I was out there
I guess you cant re ro5 something?
you are so nice:0
out street kind of pitches in
if I didn't do her drive, one of the others would have
well that's good
