nbt/nbs
gu 6,7
you can give the first to letters of a word, and the total number of letters in a word, and tot total score for a word (example: ru7,36) but try not to type the entire word
crap -- first TWO letters of a word
hi Amy. welcome to babble where just about any weird word counts. for the first hour after flip clues are only the first two letters and the number of letters in the word. generally only the higher number lettered words are called.
the exception is if there is only one word for the tile and it is a babblet or unusual word.
yeah, right now we just brag about aour big finds, like that old co5, woot!
Thank you grannyrose. Newbie to chat oldie to babble
nbt, woot! (we say nbt for no blank tiles, thus we have found at least one word for each tile)
saw that from your profile. welcome anyway to the world of idiocy.
oops, did I forget to say hi, amy
my phantom is shlong... sorry
Hello book doctor! I got my mom into it and now I like to play again knowing she is doing the same puzzle. About as close as we can be right now

Good morning, Molly and Peri. Happy Hump day!
hi bea, hi all
As usual, the week drags on and the weekends go by in a flash.
I can hardly remember what day it is.
I hope to one day enjoy the benefits of retirement. I fear I will have to work far longer than I would like though.
why Molly?
I don't have enough saved up and living on a fixed income will take some finagling.
Good morning, all.
Good morning, Judi.
Judi is here. Pass the extra strong coffee.
Thanks, Molls. I'm drinking coffee now. Eyelids are still drooping. This grid isn't helping.
44 words left. Think I'll back away for a while. Need to wake myself up. BBL.
Stuggled to get my last word...re7.28
hi
ch
Thanks Bea, I didn't have that one yet.
hmm, struggling to string 7 1 pt tiles together for re7
aha!
Always the clever one, that Carla.
I am often re7 on others in this game
I'm glad I can help. Now it is time for me to get on with something else. My list is not getting any shorter...WAA!
Have a good day all!
hi bea, bye bea!
morning all
moo! you're here early
hi all. clue for either o word please. ty
one is a babble similar to the US state
babblet
yeah, woke up at 4am, so been up a while
carla, ty
yuck
yuck???????
yuck to moo waking up at 4am
need two more clues please: the R bottom row please?
(not a morning person here)
hi, folks
I normally get up between 6:30-7:30...but 4am a bit early
hi welki!
ok. i am not a morning person either. so yuk from me too
we get up early, too - even on weekends. if we sleep to 6:30, we consider that "sleeping in"
mkg, the bottom r is ru 7/36
natural wake-up time for me is 9-ish. would have to set an alarm for anything before that.
what time do you go to bed, hokie? late?
yeah, I can't go to sleep before 11, usually around midnight or later.
100 down
those days seem to be few and far between for us - used to be we'd stay up very late, but us old fogies turn out the lights earlier these days
LOL, I haven't even reached halfway!
but I have gotten at least half on each tile I've tried. just on 3rd row right now.
heh - wasn't that long ago that 11pm was 'time to have a smokie by the fire time'
I don't have half the G's yet...one short ;)
okay, halved the G's too
just got to the big G, only 2 right now.
alright, made it through all of them. 42 left.
26 left here
16 4's left
ha, just mistyped and found 1
I love when that happens
11 4s left for me
would love a clue for the big G word. ty. i have no 7s yet.
gu + rhymes with bovines
biggest I have is gu6
got it! ty.
great clue
got the 7 too.
hokie....just add a consonant near the end....
gucows
damn it
cute
yvw
ru, I was seriously like, what??
any clues for the R bottom row? or did i miss it?
someone said it is ru7
it's a "sorta" word....
well that's stupid, thx pen
got the ru word. ty.
yw....
back to this gu7 - I have tried adding consonants to the gu6 to no avail
need one last clue for the E word fourth column. ty.
el4/5 babblet
rhymes with Rhett of Tara fame.....
homie... 99% of my comments are generally a joke
that's for the gu word....
thank you pen!
el 4 5 not finding. ouch.
yw....
I know yours was a joke ru, what I was trying to say is that's exactly what I thought when she said rhymes with bovines.
gotta go....bbl to finish.....bye all....
bye pen
got el 4. ty
gu + the end of the term for many cows. and then for the 7, add ending letter
19 F words????????where are they? ouch.
I have found 15 F's, and I made up a lot of them if that helps
ty
I'm not getting the rhymes with bovines thing. Must be having a dim day.
the slow moving animal is in here. tu 6 and 7
I'm still not either but got the word with pen's gone with the wind clue
molly substitute the gu for the first two letters of the bovines and then put the rest of the word in.
I think I see what you're saying but that's not really a rhyming word
bye guys.. have a good day
bye ruru!
found 10 4's, now 6 4's left.
I have the word, just don't get the clue
I think it meant it rhymes with cattle, which I don't think it does and that's why I didn't get it. but mkg did, which is good. that's why different clues work for different players.
is the is6 an everyday word?
I guess. It rhymes with what a manservant does, but not the ca word you mentioned.
Not an everyday word at all
ok, thx
It's the kind of word that moolingwa and hurshy will know. : D
but of course
And they would give the definition, like that would help us mere mortals.
is it chemistry related?
Carla it is to do with weather maps
I'm going to take a break. 22 left. I know what a couple are from the chat so maybe I'll see those when I get back.
thanks, lindrick, will try to find that
Let me know if you want a clue
got it! not sure I've seen it before re: weather maps but got lucky typing. thanks though!

ha7 minnesota has ha7 winters than pennsylvania
change last letter for another
I'm not sure, remember getting close to 3ft of snow in a storm outside Philly when I lived there
though I do remember a morning out in York with a colleague of mine from Minnesota, I was all bundled up, and he was wearing a light jacket
when i was a kid, my school district's superintendent was from minnesota, and when it would snow here, like, all the towns around us would have a snow day, but not us, because it was his call
bastid
i joked about it in my speech at graduation :D
did you have sun days instead?
i guess, at the end of the year, when other schools had to stay longer to make up the snow days, maybe?
We didn't have snow days in NZ
Es Eliminated!
Speaking of snow days, I guess those days are now long gone.
I's Institutionalized?
i s impaled!
C's Construed?
i Crushed them, earlier

we had snow days in the mountains of VA
we were out on a snow day when the Challenger exploded. I just watched a doc on that the other day. not on our snow days, but on the Challenger
I made up a lot of F's, hurshy
did it talk about the guy who knew it was going to explode
yep
he was like, I made the call, I'd do it again
I guess whatever helps you sleep at night
i don't get why he felt guilty his whole life. i would have felt angry at the people who didn't listen to me, if i were him, i think
that was a different guy, he felt really bad
no i mean the guy who like tried to convince everyone not to do it
made it to 15, going to list
i'm at 10 and thinking of listing also
helt
scuse me
helt no
omg at my 2 missing a's, both everyday words
and the F's, one everyday, one a ridiculous plural
fi 5/18, pls
the other ha7 is "chiefly southern US" and yet I've never heard of it
i'm trying to figure out what it can be coming after the others like that..
think of pigpen from charlie brown, he lives in fi5
ty carla
hmm, my missing R was one I thought I'd tried.
but it has to start like the others, and come after them and not have a lot of points... i'm confused
somehow I monkeyed it right away (we are talking last ha7?)
yes, and i got it, and i still don't see how on earth fi5 relates to it! lol
5 T's left - gotta take the dog out!
well that was easy finish. I should have gotten to like 2 or 3 left before being stuck and listing. oh well.
fi5 doesn't relate to it, bichon asked for a clue for fi5!
I got th fi 5
I know, I think hurshy was saying she thought I was clueing the last ha7 with fi5.
#chatconfusion

yw hagd
what is a tu 7 -- someone who acts like mitch mcconnell?
According to another dictionary, it is one who hunts the shelled animals or their eggs
*!*~*!* hagd and stay safe :)
i feel like we have to stop comparing M. M. to tu6s; it's too insulting to their species.
Okay, back yet again...7 left
just checking in again. you got this easy, moo
6 to go :)
and two of them are 4s
6 different tiles too
not doing well with this grid. 47 left and stuck
I'm having a tough time with it too. 63 here.
only have three of the 7's
and schitt is not a word :)
53 now.
I have 8 of the sevens if you need help
fireworks!!
wtg md
apparently there are 3 ha7 but I only have one, more severe
ty peri
change the final consonant
peri, also to make it more severe
ty got it
have you watched Schitt's Creek, Harry?
I watched some of it carla
no - but I do plan to someday
I love Eugene Levy
Waiting for Guffman - one of my all time favorite movies
43
I like Best in Show a lot
oh yes! that's the dog show one right?
the show was great, and I saw all 4 actors won an Emmy the other night
and "a mighty wind" was the folk music one - that was really good
yes, dog show
I think Parker Posey is always really amazing in those movies as well
there was also For Your Consideration
I didn't see that! Will have to rent it
Wow - words just started appearing all over the grid for me
I think This is Spinal Tap is the first of those movies, but I don't think Levy is in that one
yes he is
a lot of the same players in all those improv movies.
no he wasn't! my mistake
billy crystal was in that movie though
and paul shaffer from the letterman show band
If you have 1 ha7, you really should be able to find a second
30 to go! gotta go teach. bye!
byeee
5 to go
still 5 different tiles?
any 4's? I had missed some easy ones
yep
yes 2 4s left

3 to go
2 to go
1 to go
ooh, what is it?
h6
ah
I only found with the list
got it
that shouldn't give anything away
it was in the grid not too long ago
well done
yeah, I've seen it before. no def on dictionary link
yeah, only saw the three ha7 reference today, so pretty good day
I really should've found all but 2 or 3.
my last 5 and 4 were both easies
and once I got those, my last 7 was then easy to find
the stocking one if you were wondering
was just typing out a which one? post
not even sure which one that is. scrolling the list...
oh yes
the toughest word was probably that last ha7
I found that fairly easy with the list but have never heard of it or the alt version of it
yeah, not sure if I've gotten that one before
the r7 was more a "give it a try" one, and it worked
the latter r7 that is
oh there was a g4 that I wasn't familiar with
Well off to my next call
oh, I did get a clue for the r7 and g7
bye
stats for bottom row R pls
ru7/36. did not mean how I was about to clue it. I guess elk are like that right now.
I don't know why the dictionary here defines the last ha7 as "chiefly Southern US". It is a British term for meat.
Looking up the definition--finely minced cooked pork offal pressed into a loaf and served cold. Doesn't exactly scream "Fix this right away!"
sounds gross
I've never gotten the whole "pork offal" love.
offal sounds awful
Some kinds can be good, but there's a reason why food like that is a staple among the poor.
I grew up eating most parts of the moose, my mother had a keen ability to disguise offal.
My British husband can make a terrific steak and kidney pie with lamb's kidneys. I recall once inviting a couple over for a steak and kidney meal, and the husband took me aside and said, My wife doesn't eat much meat, so could you make it with just the kidney beans? Haha--we made a cauliflower cheese pie instead.
*Wants to go to Jan's house for delicious home made pies*
Amazing. The name of Trump's German mentor from the 1930's and 40's appears in the puzzle. Hint: 6 letters ending in r
