OK cr5/14 with an-ed suffix is so a word, as in when you are cr___ed out by something. You would never say cr___t out. That's for when a bug cr__t out from under the breadbox, which would, in the end cr5 you out.

12:31 am

5 to go!

12:32 am

well argued, melon

Thank you!

Anyone here play the Spelling Bee in the NYT puzzle pages? There dictionary is weird.

12:33 am

phantom: potato

yep to that phantom

12:34 am

3 to go!

12:34 am

are you seeing my regular icon or santa?

12:35 am

santa

12:35 am

regular but if i click i see santa

12:36 am

I'm still seeing the regular icon in the chat and I changed it 2 days ago -- must be expert, because it shows up on the babble website

12:37 am

i do not use expert and never have

12:37 am

just the website

12:41 am

the words i need are PAL or LAP or ALP that's pretty cool i can spell three things

I need the 4th column E for NBT. Clue, please?

12:42 am

hahahahah here i am babbling on my la6 and not seeing that word

12:42 am

fencing sword

12:42 am

(that is for you melon)

12:43 am

well i'll be on both sides. olive oyl's boyfriend not allowed but past tense of it is.

12:44 am

that's because it's really an adj, not a past tense. someone can be po7, but there's no corresponding po6 other than as a proper noun

d'Oh! and merci!

12:45 am

got my P!

12:45 am

loll... yw and thanx hurshy. i guess i depends on where you put the emphasis.

12:45 am

A5 remains!

12:45 am

Cr5 is such a British word. I would always use it rather than the version ending in Ed. Always try so many words ending in that constonant that aren’t accepted

12:46 am

and i like to speak that way too. i always say things are ruint.

12:46 am

That hasn'tt stopt me from tryingt them all, Jax!

12:46 am

TADA!!!!!

12:47 am

12:48 am

*taps hurshy on the shoulder* move over sistah...

12:49 am

12:50 am

i mean i guess you can't have that particular despair without the victory

12:55 am

12:56 am

i feel like this really does make us seem like addicts lol

12:56 am

anyway, i seem to be acieving stuff this year. have written and posted Christmas cards. i know it is now not the norm, but hey, who said i was normal?

12:57 am

i have trouble with it, but, one of my sisters is super into christmas so i made sure to send her one, and then i'll see if i can make myself do more

12:57 am

12:59 am

roflol....so do i. the more feta the betta...

12:59 am

you're lucky you can get together

1:01 am

it was hard work hurshy. imagine trying to get nearly 5 million people to do the same thing at the same time.

1:07 am

goodnight everyone

1:08 am

we can't even get 150,000 people to wear a mask!

1:50 am

Stiff fines worked for us

as per Melon's comment, why is po4 okay but not po4ed or po4y, as in "Uh oh the baby po6 and he smells po5"?

Or even, "I had such a long day, I am just po6!"

doesn't pass the smell test

6:20 am

nbt! 42 to go - off to work!

6:54 am

morning all

7:00 am

oh man, the lack of po6 and po5 is silly

7:02 am

? It took the po6 for me...

yeah, was going to say the same. the past tense is accepted, but not the one who does.

7:04 am

Morning, all :-)

howdy

7:05 am

morning everyone!

you are chipper. still half asleep here. :D

7:07 am

could not sleep, up at 3:00 AM, ungodly hour. Finished puzzle, easy one today, no list even

wow, I was just about to post how hard I thought it was. 48 left after first pass. well done. hope you get a nap today.

7:08 am

*passes espressos to everyone*

7:10 am

it's a twisty one Carla, normal words, bye for now

bye!

7:11 am

carla!

lindy!

7:13 am

I don't think it's easy either. But I am not as good at this game as some people are.

well, you're pretty good, so that means it is hard for me.

I always try ayed. with as much weird past tenses of non-verbs allowed, I just don't know why that one isn't. plus, it's scottish!

7:20 am

Morning, friends.

bea!

7:20 am

morning bea

7:21 am

Master Gardener!

7:22 am

<-----Takes a bow...

<-----now singing Madonna's Take a Bow

7:27 am

<---Plugging ears so she won't hear Madonna

that is one of her best songs!

7:32 am

Top row grey! =)

well I only found 11 more in 2nd pass.

not even close to top row gray with that P.

I also have no 7s yet.

ooh, found one! an a even

7:35 am

The spinach eating guy is 7 from that P.

that's weird, thx. and no 6.

7:38 am

Two sevens in the T below that P.

not sure how I missed the one describing candles since I had the 5.

or the other

seems one who puts on lots of clothes in the winter would be a la7

7:42 am

oh, that would be me, carla

7:43 am

Poor, cold, lindy.

I def am one too. when I used to play soccer I would put on 2 pairs of pants and 3 tops and other people would be in shorts. but now I see you're talking about your current state. hope you are near one of the heaters!

7:44 am

it doesn't take the spinach eating guy

7:44 am

It will if you make it an adj.

7:44 am

Past tense

7:44 am

yes, I have a heater next to me so I'm staying warm.

it's descriptive, like someone is cross*, but this is po7

7:45 am

Ah ty Bea

7:45 am

idn't think of that

I've never actually heard that used

7:46 am

I object. If that is a word, then so should poopeyed be a word. Kind of like stinkeye, but worse.

7:46 am

the worst part is needing to use the bathroom. 54 degrees is cold.

7:46 am

I agree, Molly. LOL!

ugh, that does sound horrible.

my mom grew up with an outhouse and said how horrible that was in the winter

7:47 am

I will put a heater in the bathroom when I'm going to shower, though

and my bathroom is the coldest room in our house, so I can imagine you would not want to go, lindy

we actually have a space heater in our bathroom right now

7:48 am

We have space heaters in both both our bathrooms.

7:49 am

didn't really think about it until now, but my daughter has heat in her rooms over the garage, and there is a tiny half bath up there... I'm sure it's warmer than 54

7:50 am

Is that a different furnace, lindy?

7:51 am

yes. she has a wall furnace up there, separate from the rest of the house

7:52 am

You people need those heated toilet seats

that would be awesome

but no outlet in that room

7:53 am

the dog and 2 cats have been staying up there with her during the day. at least once she gets home from work. they endure the cold to be near us while she is gone.

I looked into the bidet seats early in the TP shortage

ooh, just one 7 left now

7:57 am

I'm looking for three of those 7's.

8:00 am

You can get non-enamel toilet seats that don't get cold.

8:02 am

I want a bidet attachment.

8:08 am

py6, please?

8:08 am

'morning

8:08 am

Good morning, welki.

8:10 am

8:45 am

I made it 14, Harry, so you have at least 4 more. actually my last 2 4's were findable.

3:24 pm

17 :)

maybe a few more I should have found too, so you should get to 10 ;)

3:25 pm

all depends on my patience.

3:26 pm

I'm down to 18

3:27 pm

still 7 4s though

3:28 pm

16 - two are 7s.

you shouldn't have any trouble with those 4's

3:29 pm

15 to go...six 4s

3:29 pm

chicken potpye

the 7s are all doable, HH, but that doesn't mean I found them all on my own.

3:30 pm

10 to go...two 4s now :)

3:35 pm

Last word was the spinach eating sailor in the past tense.

3:35 pm

I wonder if the 4 is an R. that one fooled me for a while.

my last 2 4's were E and T but you don't need any of those.

I think the A is a 5

I think maybe the D is too

the L could be a 6, it's easy but no one expected it to be a word on enable
