Thanks, Lickety!
thanks, Lickety
ny 5...an antelope
nice one diz
that puts me at 10 to go!
half of those are 6s :(
anyone found any cy words?
no, and I have all the Cs
no but have 2 py words
hmm, ok thanks, need one of those then
thanks freep
try py 6
hello everyone
hi nan
ok got it thanks diz
OK cr5/14 with an-ed suffix is so a word, as in when you are cr___ed out by something. You would never say cr___t out. That's for when a bug cr__t out from under the breadbox, which would, in the end cr5 you out.
5 to go!
well argued, melon
Thank you!
Anyone here play the Spelling Bee in the NYT puzzle pages? There dictionary is weird.
phantom: potato
yep to that phantom
3 to go!
are you seeing my regular icon or santa?
santa
regular but if i click i see santa
I'm still seeing the regular icon in the chat and I changed it 2 days ago -- must be expert, because it shows up on the babble website
i do not use expert and never have
just the website
the words i need are PAL or LAP or ALP that's pretty cool i can spell three things
I need the 4th column E for NBT. Clue, please?
hahahahah here i am babbling on my la6 and not seeing that word
fencing sword
(that is for you melon)
well i'll be on both sides. olive oyl's boyfriend not allowed but past tense of it is.
that's because it's really an adj, not a past tense. someone can be po7, but there's no corresponding po6 other than as a proper noun
d'Oh! and merci!
got my P!
loll... yw and thanx hurshy. i guess i depends on where you put the emphasis.
A5 remains!
Cr5 is such a British word. I would always use it rather than the version ending in Ed. Always try so many words ending in that constonant that aren’t accepted
and i like to speak that way too. i always say things are ruint.
That hasn'tt stopt me from tryingt them all, Jax!
TADA!!!!!
the thrill of victory, followed by the crushing despair of knowing i have no babble to play for the next 23+ hours
*taps hurshy on the shoulder* move over sistah...
with the victory or the despair or both?
i mean i guess you can't have that particular despair without the victory
both dear friend. you can weep on my shoulder, i'll weep on yours. that makes two very wet.....ummm...tissues. that's the word
i feel like this really does make us seem like addicts lol
anyway, i seem to be acieving stuff this year. have written and posted Christmas cards. i know it is now not the norm, but hey, who said i was normal?
i have trouble with it, but, one of my sisters is super into christmas so i made sure to send her one, and then i'll see if i can make myself do more
where's my 'h' go. i know i have one somewhere... acHieving...
i'd rather be a-chèvre-ing
(i love goat cheese)
i hear you. i have organised our family get-together for Boxing Day. and i'm now making a start on Christmas Day. working on menus etc.
roflol....so do i. the more feta the betta...
you're lucky you can get together
it was hard work hurshy. imagine trying to get nearly 5 million people to do the same thing at the same time.
goodnight everyone
we can't even get 150,000 people to wear a mask!
Stiff fines worked for us
as per Melon's comment, why is po4 okay but not po4ed or po4y, as in "Uh oh the baby po6 and he smells po5"?
Or even, "I had such a long day, I am just po6!"
doesn't pass the smell test
nbt! 42 to go - off to work!
morning all
oh man, the lack of po6 and po5 is silly
? It took the po6 for me...
yeah, was going to say the same. the past tense is accepted, but not the one who does.
Morning, all :-)
howdy
morning everyone!
you are chipper. still half asleep here. :D
could not sleep, up at 3:00 AM, ungodly hour. Finished puzzle, easy one today, no list even
wow, I was just about to post how hard I thought it was. 48 left after first pass. well done. hope you get a nap today.
*passes espressos to everyone*
it's a twisty one Carla, normal words, bye for now
bye!
carla!
lindy!
I don't think it's easy either. But I am not as good at this game as some people are.
well, you're pretty good, so that means it is hard for me.
I always try ayed. with as much weird past tenses of non-verbs allowed, I just don't know why that one isn't. plus, it's scottish!
Morning, friends.
bea!
morning bea
Master Gardener!
<-----Takes a bow...
<-----now singing Madonna's Take a Bow
<---Plugging ears so she won't hear Madonna
that is one of her best songs!
Top row grey! =)
well I only found 11 more in 2nd pass.
not even close to top row gray with that P.
I also have no 7s yet.
ooh, found one! an a even
The spinach eating guy is 7 from that P.
that's weird, thx. and no 6.
Two sevens in the T below that P.
not sure how I missed the one describing candles since I had the 5.
or the other
seems one who puts on lots of clothes in the winter would be a la7
oh, that would be me, carla
Poor, cold, lindy.
I def am one too. when I used to play soccer I would put on 2 pairs of pants and 3 tops and other people would be in shorts. but now I see you're talking about your current state. hope you are near one of the heaters!
it doesn't take the spinach eating guy
It will if you make it an adj.
Past tense
yes, I have a heater next to me so I'm staying warm.
it's descriptive, like someone is cross*, but this is po7
Ah ty Bea
idn't think of that
I've never actually heard that used
I object. If that is a word, then so should poopeyed be a word. Kind of like stinkeye, but worse.
the worst part is needing to use the bathroom. 54 degrees is cold.
I agree, Molly. LOL!
ugh, that does sound horrible.
my mom grew up with an outhouse and said how horrible that was in the winter
I will put a heater in the bathroom when I'm going to shower, though
and my bathroom is the coldest room in our house, so I can imagine you would not want to go, lindy
we actually have a space heater in our bathroom right now
We have space heaters in both both our bathrooms.
didn't really think about it until now, but my daughter has heat in her rooms over the garage, and there is a tiny half bath up there... I'm sure it's warmer than 54
Is that a different furnace, lindy?
yes. she has a wall furnace up there, separate from the rest of the house
You people need those heated toilet seats
that would be awesome
but no outlet in that room
the dog and 2 cats have been staying up there with her during the day. at least once she gets home from work. they endure the cold to be near us while she is gone.
I looked into the bidet seats early in the TP shortage
ooh, just one 7 left now
I'm looking for three of those 7's.
You can get non-enamel toilet seats that don't get cold.
I want a bidet attachment.
py6, please?
'morning
Good morning, welki.
Do you have the py4?
yes
Add the two letters in the bottom left corner. It is a chemical.
found it thanks
hi welki
Does the po7 work off the po6?
no, freeman
no. look at clues around 7;30
Thanks found it
welki!
hokie!
bea, still looking for the 7s?
Just one. I'll find it. Still have the R's.
ok, guess you found the vine with 5 leaves
you are a master after all. ;)
As in VA cr7?
yes
la6, please?
you're probably typing on one, freeman
that will be my missing L! looking...
Probably the kind of coputer your are using, freeman.
computer
duh, thx, welki and bea!
Thanks how could I have missed that one.
who knew that would be on enable
and again, laura nyro's in the grid
speaking of the N, I can only find one
ny5.14
thanks, bea. new one to me.
Got that last 7.
nice
Ha ha, one of my gardening supply web sites sent me a holiday specials email with the subject line "Hoe hoe hoe, this is for you"
=)
anyone have the pe6/24?
add a vowel to the end of the pe5.14
well, I missed that 5, thanks!
How many more P's do you gave, Carla?
thx BuzznBea. never heard it before.
I have 2 on top row and 1 in middle
you have the py6?
Your welcome, nurse.
yes, got that from earlier clues, thx
pe5.12 from the middle
I have one pe5/12 that's odd, but we have a lot.
4 pa5's
ok that's it
got it, thx
did not expect that
gm all. help with A in right column please
you might have to change your thinking to find it peri

I'm off for the day. Grocery shopping today as I have a zoom class and a zoom meeting tomorrow.
bye bea!
I'm also taking a zoom class on Saturday. How to propogate fe4.7. I'm really excited about that.
I thought they just propogated themselves
Bea is like the Queen of Zoom
who's zoomin' who?

Carla, I hate to break it to you, but that is just too much information.
never mind. got it. sorry
still have 33 lft
that's too much information moo
I know, but I'm carefree like that
just broke down and listed. one of the c's I thought I saw this morning and then couldn't make it work, but it is actually there.
25 left now
so weird, I definitely tried one of these other c's
1 left, an elusive 7
ah yes, those elusive 7s
I still have 4 of thos
aha. TADA!
congrats
Congratulations, hokie.
aw shucks, you guys
you're so awesome
ah, there's two of the sevens
LOL
hi hi
19 to go. should I list?
or are there 19 unfindable words?
18
I made it 14, Harry, so you have at least 4 more. actually my last 2 4's were findable.
17 :)
maybe a few more I should have found too, so you should get to 10 ;)
all depends on my patience.
I'm down to 18
still 7 4s though
16 - two are 7s.
you shouldn't have any trouble with those 4's
15 to go...six 4s
chicken potpye
the 7s are all doable, HH, but that doesn't mean I found them all on my own.
10 to go...two 4s now :)
Last word was the spinach eating sailor in the past tense.
got that one early on.
Anybody want a clue before I run?

Do you have the re?

See you all tomorrow.

Well I have to go to dinner now myself. Good luck.

cooking supper, just checked in
I wonder if the 4 is an R. that one fooled me for a while.
my last 2 4's were E and T but you don't need any of those.
I think the A is a 5
I think maybe the D is too
the L could be a 6, it's easy but no one expected it to be a word on enable
the A could be a 7 if you have the re7
