Hello all.
hey scrabs!
Good morning, Scrabs.
how are the bunnies?
They are adorable. The gate is not up so Fiona is running around like a maniac. Phoebe never leaves the bedroom.
How are you kitties, Hurshy?
*your
Rilla is an angel, as always. the boys are more troublous.
Troublous! I bet.
Opie's issues stem from the fact that he is the king of everything, so he thinks he ought to be able to do whatever he wants, and punish people if they don't pet him enough, and stuff like that
Animals' personalities are fascinating.
Fritz's issues are more just from being not that bright, not being able to remember what is naughty
he WANTS to be good
but it is hard
A special education cat.
Rilla is just so temptingly tacklable, and how is he supposed to remember that that is naughty?
and how is he supposed to know which things are food and which things are not?
It is cat behavior.
the tackling is, but thankfully, PICA is more rare. he's unusual in that respect.
Ah.
he's gotten better though. i used to be really afraid he was going to kill himself with it. like the time he bit a glass bulb off a strand of twinkle lights and swallowed it
jagged edges and all
Yikes! Did he need surgery?
no... he suffered no discernible ill effects.
i mean i took him to the emergency vet right away, and they were like, come back if he has any symptoms
which he never did
'morning, folks
It's like when kids swallow stuff. Batteries and magnets are bad but other stuff passes through.
Hi welki
Morning, welki.
Bea, how is your mom?
She is well. She will have her second Fasenra shot this week. It has seemed to really help.
Thanks for asking.
Great.
that's good to hear, bea
well, i can't find either the pe7/8 or the eo7
I have eo5.
me too
but we can't make the usual 6 by adding a vowel to the end
and while you can ionise things, you can't eonise them
but you can believe in them
No.
oh good grief!
thanks welki
the pe7/8 is the practice of pe4
howdy
double good grief
Hey, Carla.
you'd best use those clues right away hokie
I don't get you clue yet, welki.
well, I would if I was awake enough to get it
like if you believe in a God, that's the***, scrabs
I don't see -ist
ok, thanks for clarifying, bea
not the person who. the belief itself
and that helped with my missing i too.
14 left!
Oh, I was working from eo5, like the blood cell eo5-phile.
11 here
i have xy4, anyone have the other x?
Ugh, eo5-ophil.
xy6
i thought i tried that. must have tried with C not X
That's ironic as that is why my mom is taking the biologic...too many
Yes, Bea!
3-2-3-2
because it's a monoclonal antibody, do you think it might help if she contracts covid? or is it not prophylactic?
I'm off to the farmer's market. Good day to all!
bye bea!
Enjoy, Bea.
3-4-4-2
good morning here. it is raining cats and dogs here :)
hey peri. sunny and 63 here.
hello all...
hey pen
hey carla...
oh, 11 hurshy. I missed 1 of the clues when I got here.
3-4-3-1
Monoclonal antibodies are very specific. I can't recall what was used for the Alpha and Delta variants but they don't work for Omicron so sotrovimab is specific for that.
HI penquis
hi scrabs....
thanks, scrabs - too bad they're not a one-size-fits-all sort of thing
not seeing pe7/8 even with a clue
a belief in lowly workers
pe4/5 + one ending to hedon***.
ty Scrabs new words for me
welki, the biologic meds are hard to learn and to pronounce.
and drop the p for some e words, peri
life is so full of disappointments
BRB with breakfast.
2-2-2-1
hey, how are you still finding words? i'm just stuck.
stuck now
H S S MM TT
well then you might guess my E or C or 2 Ps
It's Kentucky Derby Day. Put on your big hats and grab a mint julep.
keep trying to make moxy and sych(e) work
oh, I didn't even realize. think I gave my hats away when we moved.
one of my former neighbors used to have a party every year that we had to wear hats to
i'm sucking on a mint flavored zinc tablet, that'll have to suffice.
oho, got my E!
my last c's were a pair, so I can only guess yours is the goodbye soundalike
or maybe a descriptor for a big busted woman
no i have that
yes, that second one
for S, let's see, do you have si4?
so would you care to guess my m's?
A mint flavored zinc tablet. What a party animal.
i can't, i'm missing two Ms also
I did not, thanks
do you have the mexican money? I miss that a lot. or there's a similar pair.
do you have mo 4/10 and mo 5/22?
i have the money, maybe not the "similar pair"
oHO, thanks luv
that's it, thanks, luv

yw :-)
ok so we're down to H S TT
now 0-1-2-1
H S TT for me as well
oh mine are 0-0-2-2
I did get the hawaiian H today if anyone asks
so you have a 7 that i haven't got
oh, there's a weird sp7 I saw called at the flip and was able to monkey
ty
let me see... do you have s + what scrabs helps people do with their illnesses and injuries?
ooh, found my S
it was what something does when it leaks through
so most likely there is a T7
so I'm going to assume the T's are T6/7
one hopes
so you need an H6 too?
well i need an H
(or maybe H7)
does the xy 6 build off the 4?
theoretically it could also be two T6 and an H7
yes
yes luv
thanks
aHA it is he6/36
I swear I tried that
anything I've ever heard of?
probably only in babble
iti's sciency
the he 6? ends like the sp
sp 7 I should have said
ah, thanks, both
I did get that is what you meant eventually, luv. 🤣 I was like, ends like the spelling?
any other clues needed before I head out to enjoy some relative warmth and sunshine here in Michigan?
well, some stats for T6 and T7
tu 6/27 & tu 7/40 let me know if you want a clue
I have a cute one
ty luv....got them...
I knew it was going to be a tu
well if you have a cute one, go for it
thanks, got them. I had tried that several times as a TO.
TADA
tu 6/27... sounds like what ZZ Top was just looking for
i never like a cute clue to go to waste
pen, did you see there are 73 words on the bee today?
and 3 pangrams
i figured there must be a lot of words on the bee because it let me find a lot more, i am pretty sure it lets you find some percent of them if you are a non-subscriber
no...haven't checked the Bee yet....
I agree with that assessment, hurshy, from when I was a non-subscriber
and BTW, have only found 1 pangram and 38 words, so just at great
well i have slowed to a crawl with 15 left....i think i will check out the Bee...bbl to finish....bye all...
good morning fellow babblers!
hi Hokie!
Greetings from Switzerland
Salut!!
Tomorrow we go to Lake Como for 3 days
Say hi to George Clooney!!
Worked at a camp in Switzerland one summer....so beautiful!!
what's the Bee?
it's the Spelling Bee, a game at the New York Times...
oh thanks i will have to check that out
you are given seven letters with one letter highlighted....you make as many words as you can with the letters and each word has to use the highlighted letter...you can use letters more than once in the same word...
if you don't subscribe to the NY Tmes game page, you can only play part of a game....
so better to subscribe?
well if you subscribe you get access to all the games there...i do the crosswords every day and sometimes the sudoku as well as the bee....
thank you for the great info penquis
yw...
talk to a rep. they offered me games access for only $19.99.
well i am done....heading out....bye all...
Clue for in6 please?
in+ mo4
Nm!!!
not familiar with ZZ Top...any other clue for the tu6 & 7?
ZZ sang "Legs" about a hot woman.
ty...don't see how to get a tu6 out of that
The clue was to a different ZZ Top song. One that references the body part atop the legs. The tu6 actually is a material used in printmaking, but it sounds like the derriere.
ty ...just used morewords to find it
thanks for the tu6/7 clues
FW! have a good day everyone
just starting for today. there are no elfs.
God, that description of tu4 makes the word sound so dry.
Big odds winner in The Kentucky Derby. Love that.

Sophie,I didn't get those tu words from the clues. Guess I am too TUckered out! Can you please clue it differently?
