The New Year's Eve clue is not working for me for the H/8/85. Is there another clue that can be provided? Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.

12:20 pm

I never heard of the h8 before, but it is an interesting word.

Spam is too a word!

2:08 pm

as a mexican american i take offense to this puzzle for the racist s/4 and it will not accept a racist j/4!!!!!!!!

2:11 pm

Manuel you are 100% right. Neither term should be accepted

2:16 pm

thank you fit1 i am so glad someone agrees with me

2:17 pm

You are right, but at least when you click on the definition, it says it is an offensive term. Shouldn't be in there, though.

2:27 pm

The thing is if you scroll down it actually means clean as in spic and span. It is not what you say it is HOW you say it, you can use derogatory terms without venom and with affection, the same way the English get called limeys, are we going to rename limes? So that I don't find it offensive? you have to be careful political correctness doesn't take over, just be nice to all.

2:38 pm

if it were used as spic-and-span you do not go into someones house and say that there house is spic you say it is spic-and-span so the way they have it in the puzzle it is used as a racial remark and i appologize that i don't agree with you carol

2:45 pm

It's supposed to be a free country (in theory) though I feel it is not but no matter, we are all entitled to an opinion, live and let live and I take your point too. Carole.

2:50 pm

can anybody offer me a clue on the o5/22 and the m7/24's

3:01 pm

o5/22 and o4/7 both are: An alphabetic system of inscribed notches for vowels and lines for consonants used to write Old Irish, chiefly on the edges of memorial stones, from the fifth to the early seventh century. A character used in this alphabet.

3:11 pm
