GISgrl: They're clues. For example: o/7/44 means there's a word that starts with "O", it's 7 letters long and you'd get 44 points for it.

The A8/60 comes from the A6/30 which means to place side by side or in close proximity, and it grows from there with (2) A7/44. Hope it helps.
