Anyone know how many words are in this puzzle. Gotta be a big one. I have almost 100 words.

6:28 am

I just ran wordracer and it gave 301. Previously it has mentioned that it is not always correct. I used it because it is the only solver that I know of that has the total at the bottom so that you don't have to see the list of words. If anyone knows a better solution I would be happier to use it next time.

tangle gives a total of 304 words

8:58 am

Lovin' the five words based on the magnetic ferrous alone.

2:54 pm

There is a reason that there are 305 today! Note that the softly singing C group has five as well as does the relaxed Ls and the footware Ss.

3:09 pm

Unbelievable. Snoof is not accepted. My dog is a total snoofer!

3:25 pm

anyone got a clue for the s764? I've about exhausted my brain

3:29 pm

S7 a child's rocker with the seat built between two sides cut in the shape of an animal.

3:31 pm

the s7/64 is also a song "........don't bother me"

3:33 pm

I've had that song stuck in my head ever since I made the word this morning.

3:34 pm

I learned a new word in yesterday's puzzle: wendigo. And today I am reading a mystery and the people in the book are talking about a wendigo. What a coincidence.

3:35 pm

What's the mystery book that you're reading?

3:36 pm

How many Y words do you have? I have y4/8 and y6/30

3:37 pm

The book is: Hanging by a Thread by Monica Ferris. The heroine owns a needlecraft shop. You don't have to like or do needle work to like her books.

3:38 pm

I've read two of her books, don't remember which ones, though. They were good!

3:41 pm

can't believe how much I rely on the stats - my noodling fingers/brain just freezes after a while!

3:41 pm

re: "sometimes you have to put in a work more than once b4 babble takes it!!" FYI I tried and tried and never got Babble to accept wendigo yesterday--aarrgghh!

3:42 pm

I have 185 words, I'm striving for 200 but I don't know if I'll make it...

3:43 pm

Gail, I recently read: Murder is a Girl's Best Friend, a Paige Turner mystery by Amanda Matetsky and Cross Your Heart and Hope to Die, a Blackbird Sisters Mystery by Nancy Martin. I enjoyed both of them.

3:43 pm

Taht song must be AFTER my time. I still can't get it. :(

3:45 pm

I'm reading some of the Jill Churchill series, right now I'm reading "Groom with a View." Just finished "Grime and Punishment." Good summer reading...

3:45 pm

MammaJill, I can't find any Y words. May I please have hints for the ones you have found?

3:45 pm

Wow. I found it through Google. Believe it or not, I know the song.

3:48 pm

I have read some of Jill Churchill's books and liked them.

3:49 pm

All I have is the Y6/30 - In or at an indicated place.

3:50 pm

Both y's that I have start with the same 4 letters. Think what a cowboy would say instead of "over there", he would say "over ...."

3:50 pm

I've been to two huge used book sales so far this summer, stocked up on lots of mysteries.

3:52 pm

Cool, it took Oklahoma fans :)

3:52 pm

Wow, Gail, that is great. I go to the free library a lot. They also sell books. Have you read any of the culinary mysteries.

3:54 pm

Found the Y6. And several other words. Thanks everyone for the hints.

3:54 pm

FYI the "song" word is also a kind of pie

3:54 pm

I just found two more Y words Y4/11 - a Middle English letter and the plural Y5/24.

3:55 pm

Are you kidding? Mysteries and food - two of my favorite things!

3:58 pm

Well, I learned another new word today: s/7/64. Maybe it will be in the next mystery I read :)

3:59 pm

I found the S/7/64 using Dogpile instead of Google.

4:00 pm

N7/36 - ones who persistantly pester, annoy or complain. I like this word.

4:01 pm

Thanks Gail ... found those other y's

4:02 pm

A good mystery, some ice cream, and Babble --- nothing better than this! [to bad we still have to live a 'real' life]

4:03 pm

I ate all my ice cream! Now what am I going to do?

4:04 pm

Don't forget dark chocolate, yummy!

4:05 pm

Dark chocolate candy that is. And a tall glass of fresh lemonade.

4:06 pm

Oh, I think I still have some of those Lindt Truffles that my daughter brought me a couple of weeks ago...

4:12 pm

Periwinkle, have you read any of the No.1 Ladies Detective Agency books?

4:15 pm

I tried reading the first book and did not like it.

4:16 pm

amazing how many words you can make without using an 'a' or 't' !!

4:16 pm

Oh, I enjoyed them, just got the fifth one in the series. They are different, that's for sure.

4:17 pm

Oops, big storm coming, better shut this thing down.

4:17 pm

Can't find the n/7/36 but did find the n/7 28

4:22 pm

Found the n/7/36. No wonder I had trouble finding it. It is a variant spelling. Never saw it spelled this way.

4:28 pm

Would someone please post clues for the c/8, l/8 and f/8 mentioned in the log? I cannot find them.

4:29 pm

Oops, I already have the c/8/50.

4:41 pm

that is how the N7 is spelled. This one means to bother or annoy. The one you are thinking of means to push gently :)

4:43 pm

Well, then I learned another new word today.

4:45 pm

Me, too

4:46 pm

Already had the L/8 and found the f/8. Are there anymore 8 letter words in this puzzle?

4:53 pm

Mari and Peri. That N7 is of Jewish origin, but it has become Americanized. And right now, I'd give my kingdom for stats. Sigh

4:55 pm

On second thought, who the heck would want a kingdom in New Jersey. LOL

Why is "goosed" acceptable but not "gooser"?

6:12 pm

Summer, G7/32, see G5/12 but more so.

6:16 pm

Does anyone who is currently playing know how to do stats, and would be willing to post them? It would be very much appciated :) Personally, I don't know how to do them, otherwise I would.

Thanks, Mary...got it

6:29 pm

Random bit of trivia: This July 4th, our country will be 229 yo. Pretty nifty! Next year will be 230. Even better;)

6:34 pm

6:34 pm

HUGE Thanks to Mary!!!

6:43 pm

8-6 7-18 6-50 5-106 4-124 TOTAL: 304 Hope this is right, I double checked and it looks good.

6:47 pm

Mary, thanks. You have just won my kingdom in New Jersey :)

6:50 pm

You are all welcome, this is the first time I every did it, and thought that I would see the words so therefore I would have to disqualify myself. But lo and behold there were so many the only one that I remembered was one that I already had.

7:35 pm

At this time I have only 3/8s F,L, and C any idea other ones

7:40 pm

Mary, Thanks so much for the stats!

7:46 pm

I have a total of 4. there are (2) C8/50 see clues 2:12 & 2:14 PM; both are plural. I have 164 words so far and I think I'm going to quit for the day, my head hurts.

7:53 pm

Mary Thanks for all the stats and the other c I now have 4 8-letter words

7:59 pm

F7/56 item on a barge coming down a river at night. Don't think it was mentioned before.
