and A/7/36 have same 3 last letters
yes that is a second C/7/36 sorry forgot to mention that when i posted
A/9/66:done randomly; characterized by chance, often in reference to art or music
my hubby found that 1 , it sometimes helps to have a second pair of eyes!!!
I have listed all the long ones i have so far,I am gonna call it a night and wait to see the other postings and hopefully stats to see how many more big ones I need.Good Luck all !!

onyx ... it's only a word. It's people who make it vulgar. :-)
O728 which leads to the o8 and o9
U7/36
Too bad we cant have healthnut...!
is that a 2nd U7/36??
Is there a clue for the O words, please?
Never mind, my brain just woke up and I found them all.
Clue for the O words: of or pertaining to the countries, customs, or people of eastern asia.
Thanks, leef34, I spotted it just as you posted. My brain has just not kicked in too well today, but it seems to be waking up. Just found the A9 at the same time. There's hope for me yet.
We all have our days...trust me.
guess no one has any stats yet, eh? well, until then, any clues for the U7/36? (and did we ever determine if there were one or two of those?)
A9/66
is that a 2nd A9/66???
First time stat-provider... let's hope I didn't screw anything up. 217 words a - 19 c - 25 e - 12 h - 38 i - 3 j - 1 l - 21 n - 11 o - 12 r -12 s - 17 t - 37 u - 9 10 - 1 9 - 2 8 - 1 7 - 13 6 - 34 5 - 69 4 - 97
Thanks Pri!!!
one company, one team!! thanks pri. ;)
Clue for the U7/36, goes with a U6/24: Of or relating to a style of writing characterized by somewhat rounded capital letters and found especially in Greek and Latin manuscripts of the fourth to the eighth century A.D.
Sorry, leef34, missed that the A9 had already been posted. So wilson27fan has identified the 10-letter word and the two 9-letter words.
Totally clueless on the O8 & O9, even after the clue. If these words are really obvious, I just can't see them. Any relation to O5 - large body of salt water?
judi -- think rugs and ethnicity
judi...think of a type of rug.
damn, evan beat me to that one
me win! me win! hehe
Oy vay. The O's were obvious. I feel brainless. As long as I'm on a roll, how about an alternate clue for the A9.
The word is built on a four letter word that means dice - and Babble won't take that word, at least not for me. I put that definition in a reverse dictionary and got a list of words that it was on, only with a slightly different ending. That's the only definition I could find, too.
the last 5 letters of the A9 spell a type of contact lens worn by people with astigmatism...
I just spent most of my lunch hour looking for the J word. J4/11. It's a type of currency, 10 of them equal one Yuan
re "U" words: 4 letters: 3 5 letters: 2 6 letters: 2 7 letters: 1
there's another u6!
Gail - thanks for doing the 'leg' work on the j4 word. Doesn't take as long when you have something to work with!!
i have 2 U6 right now, both worth 24 -- any hints on the 3rd?
It says that stent isn't a word.
I knew that J word had to be an unusual one. And my power went out twice while I was trying to look for it! Big storms right now, thanks to Dennis.
That's one of my biggest complaints about Babble - won't take stent and that word is in almost every grid, too.
troy: i never understood why, but babble just wont accept that word. gail: be safe!
I'm back at work in the doctor's office now, first aid is at hand!
Thanks for the A9 clue, Evandine. I wear one of those lenses, so that was a big help.
i used to as well, so i got 2 words in one. ;)
oops, sorry--i had 3 U6's--just didn't see 'em all!
the third U6 is 27 points--think "ajar"
The powers-that-be just wrote me back that they will add stent to the lexicon.
Anyone have any clues on the i words?
i only have one "i" word--it's 4 letters and is part of the pelvis
I have two i's, both x4.
ok, now i do too . . . and it's a part of the intestine
Thank god for Google image search or I'd have never figured out the pelvic and intestinal words!
H7/48
the 2 4-letter i words are just one letter different from each other. the 3rd is a 5-letter that just adds a letter to the end of one of the 4-letter words.
Uneaixoise: thanks for the clue on the last U6 -- though i do think theyre stretching it a bit, calling that a word...heh
as you can well imagine, after many years editing and teaching . . . it PAINS me!!
heh, i was an english major, so i feel the same way. especially when they allow "words" like awol and legit, but they have to "add" something like stent. (course, i try to make up words all the time myself...hehe)
Stent has already been added by the way.
thanks for the update, troy. :)
Yeah Owens I guess i did identify the 10 and the 2 9 letter words. It helps to have an extra set of eyes.My hubby found the 10 letter word.I spend the first half hour looking for long ones because if I start small I tend not to find the longer words. :))
Major problem here. I just type in at least 50 words and they just disappeared. All of Them. Yesterday I only got half of the words in and then I kept getting a message that the page was not available. I am not a happy camper.
NOw I am typing in the same words and I am getting a message that I already used that word. I will sign off and try again later. Very frustrating.
Well I just tried typing in a new word and nothing showed up in my list. Anyone else having problems with the game today?
peri -- i havent had any problems, but i have heard other people having a similar problem to yours...not sure what to tell you though.
Hey, guys. I got Stent in there at last :)
I was an English teacher at one time. One would hardly know it from my command, or lack of it, of this game :)
Well I am back again but when I type a new word it does not show up on the list. :( Where are the words going?
OMG!!!! All my words just disappeared. I had well over 100
OK -- I just put in a word, and the entire list I had been working on since 6:30 a.m. is gone! --- nooooooo -- and there's an error message at the top ---- what's going on?????
fit1, I feel just a bit better knowing I'm not alone!
THE WORDS ARE BACK NOW!!!! [and yes, I'm almost shouting with joy!]
Holy cow, Tedy, I typed in a word, and they all came back. Tis a puzzlement
but I can't type in any new words. :(
And disappeared again. I think there is a problem :)
now they are gone again ..?????????
ohmygod, I had 149 words and now they're gone!
are you getting this message: Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/html/playbabble/sidebars/wordlist.php on line 21
It was so frustrating yesterday when the puzzle went out in the early evening. They we lost our DSL due to storms - so no chance to finish the puzzle. Now this - yucko
there have been all kinds of problems lately. I do hope the God of babble can fix it. It is sooooo frustrating, and it has dropped my ranking considerably
Did we have these kinds of problems before the ads were put on? Here in FL we blame everything on last year's hurricanes! We could try that!
Une, that is the exact message I am getting too
FYI I didn't have a problem until just now . . . sad sad sad
ditto on the message
are you assuming all our words have been sucked into the ether with no chance of recovery . . . ?
Since about 8 p.m. [babble time] the words disappeared, returned, then disappeared again ... there's hope they return a second time and stay ??
I worked on the words this AM and then again this evening. We saw a show in the afternoon for my birthday today. Luckily, I wasn't working on this all day, or it would have been a double bummer.
Happy Birthday, fit1 -- hope you enjoyed the show!
thanks Tedi. Indeed we did. But think what they are doing in France toaday (Bastille Day). We were actually there in 2000 for my birthday and saw their fireworks. What a wonderful b'day that was
fit1, that must have been fun! my son's birthday is Flag Day [June 14] and when he was younger he thought people put their flags our for him!!
Liberté Egalité Fraternité!!!
oops, sorry, Babble garbled the French accents
LOL Tedi. That's adorable. I know flag day, since my oldest daughter had her Bat Mitzvah on June 14 many moons ago ).
LOL, une - I think I'll go do some email catching up and come back later to see if they've fixed the 'complications'
they're back!!!!
OK - my word list is back - and I'm a bit afraid to try to enter anything!
I'm afraid to enter a word :)
gone again - that was quick
in the few seconds of cautious bliss, I copied mine into a Word document . . . yes OCD is a wonderful thing
une, what a great idea.
never thought about copying them. Duh --- What if when the words come back next time, we all get someone else's list --- sorry, imagination is flying away again.!
Are you back on, marigold. My words are back!
