E 7/28 E 8/40 An agreement between nations.
Could be a biggie!
@ Katied924: for yesterday's puzzle I only needed the clues, stats and my addicted puzzlehead. But when I get really stuck on a grid, I use tools like the dictionary, google, a-z wordfinder and onelook.com. They really help! :)
Today's babble stats: 8 x 4 7 x 13 6 x 51 5 x 70 4 x 107 -- 245 -- A -- 11 B -- 38 C -- 20 E -- 15 F -- 7 H -- 17 L -- 7 N -- 10 O -- 12 R -- 37 S -- 26 T -- 36 U -- 1 (really? only one??) W -- 8
Argh... one more B, one more S... and no other babblers around!
tech isn't a valid word?!
C8/65
sorry, dolphin, didn't see that you'd already posted the C8/65
The is more than one U
i only found U4/4 :(
Just watchaed the Discovery space shuttle blast off from our front yard!!
just watched it live on tv--soooo exciting!
where are you, tedybeth??
are there clues in this babble game?..i guess i dont understand it..
people will probably be posting clues later in the day--right now the main "clues" are the stats posted by sprite
HELP!! I dont see any clues in babble.
I'm in Orlando
thanks..I am Polish and dont get it..ack!!
Clues usually come when someone finds a big word -- the little square with the ? mark in it next to the word - if you click on that, it gives a definition. that's usually what we post for others
tedybeth, that is so cool--must have been breathtaking!
lianakate: lol - I'm a natural blonde -- and that really gives me lots of 'reasons' for missing the obvious things!!!
The shuttle going up is always awesome - especially at night. And the neighbors all come out and stand in the street to see it appear from behind the trees that have grown a lot in the last 10 years - blocking our view!!!
here are a couple: C7/48 and C8/65: A harmonized hymn, especially one for organ
wow . . .
The shuttle liftoff was wonderful, I'll never forget the one time I saw it in person!
seems like it would be an awe-inspiring moment!
It was around 3:00 in the morning, and it just lit up the sky as it went up. I was amazed at how clearly we could see the shuttle itself. You just can't breathe while it's going up.
Aunt Beth, I am totally jealous that you saw the shuttle from your yard! I had to content myself with watching the webcast at work.
thanks, sprite. I see you were done around 4 a.m. Were you really up that late? Where are you located?
That trip to Florida several years ago was the best - got my first clear view of the Statue of Liberty as we landed in New Jersey in the morning, and then saw the space shuttle take off early the next morning.
hey tedybeth, we watched it from our front yard too!
I've lived near Kennedy Space Center most of my life -- even saw several Apollo launches. Still, I'm always awed by seeing a launch.
I love to go to the space center and Merritt island for birdwatching, too. Tedybeth lives in Orlando, she's my sister-in-law and best friend.
oooohhhh, was wondering about the connection :)
unusual birds on Merritt Island?
http://merrittisland.fws.gov-- very cool!! must be fascinating . . .
Yep, and Sarcastica is my daughter. We are all Babblers.
terrific! My daughter plays when she has time at work :)
I'm playing from home this week, but I usually play all day at work, too! My boss just shakes her head and laughs.
a second E7/28
Yep, I'm playing at work, a little!
Very cool birds. Went there last week. Winter is better though. More variety and larger numbers.
I've been there in March and April. I used to be a more avid birder - found a lot for my list in Florida that I don't see in Vermont.
i can imagine . . . went to see March of the Penguins yesterday, speaking of birds . . . amazing story
Oh, I want to see that too! Have you seen Winged Migration? That was beautiful.
help!!!! i need 100 more words
don't feel bad akajane. I need 145! I can only babble in short bursts. Someone has to take care of the kiddo. ;-)
So I'm missing two pesky H's. Here's what I've got: HEx2 HOx8 HUx5 Any hints?
there's at least one more HE
and at least one more HO
thanks! I always get so stuck on the last few of any letter.
know what you mean--me too
i'm tearing my hair out over the last "w"--i've got two each of 4, 5, and 6 letters . . . any hints?
There are at least 3 w/4
There are 3x w4 3x w5 2x w6
thanks!
@ Katied924: for me it was morning! :D I play from the Netherlands, so I guess we are about 6 hours apart. @ Dest1028: are you sure? Can you tell how many you found? When I started I was positive the UN- prefix would give us quite a few words, but so far I haven't been able to find more than the statmaker gave.
help with the n's please... n4x4 n6x4 n7 just can't see it
There is an N4/4 that is a rare Hawaiian goose - maybe you are missing that one. We had it one time before.
thx gail i have that one!
Do you have the small salamander? Or have you found them all now?
N7 - one who settles down comfortably into a thing a bird builds.
thanks gail i was missing the one used in fishing...thought i'd already used it...alas... i should quit for a bit.. 8)
N7/28 is based on one of the N6's . . . and FYI I've got five N4's
sorry--never mind! :)
When I logged off earlier, I had 218 words. When I logged back on, I only had 216. My U word had disappeared and I haven't figure out what other word is gone...
thanks all for your clues...i completed the other night, or so i thought to log on and see that i hadn't...
someone posted awhile back that they don't log off they just diminish it, and that way the don't lose any words..
I've had it remove words from my list today too! I had a rough time figuring out which ones they were. Kind of annoying considering I'm at work.
i've logged off before without losing words -- don't think minimizing is the answer, but i could be wrong . . . of course, in this heat I just may not be AWARE that I've lost words!
i think it may just be to problems that they have been having with the server. my page, and i'm on high speed takes a bit to reset now when i enter a word...
sprite - I thought you must be across the pond somewhere. :)
At least I am not the only one loosing words here... playful babblegods, perhaps? ;-) I still wonder about the U-words. No reply from Dest1028 so far, but did anybody else find more than one U-word today?
i haven't found any but the one..sprite.
Ah, our old friend the stent. How I missed it.
code to KatieD924 - flourescent deb flies at midnight
Any clues for the E7 and the 2 T7 28s?
E7 was posted this morning by dolphin
T7/28 x 2: playing a flute softly and repeatedly
E7 is related to the intestine
The T/7/28s come from a 4 letter base word- there's also a 5 and 2 6's. My granddaughter uses this word when someone passes gas! I think technically it means to play softly on a flute.
S/7/40
s8/55 (don't think mentioned) means gentlemen in portuguese
so are there two E7's cause my E7 is the one SweetTooth described this morning
There is a clue for the 2nd E/7 at 4:19 pm
ok, there ARE two e7/28's
yes there are 2 e7's the intestine one and the agreement one.
thanks, got 'em both
i ended up with 246 and had my hubby go and check. he said sprite's are correct is anyone else done and have one more???? i'm going to check and see where i have the extra word...
Help................... I need 102 words !!!!!!!!!!!!! I ain't a gonna make it !! sniff sniff sniff
Anybody know what the last 7 starts with? I've only found 12 listed, unless I'm missing something.
is anyone else having trouble finding 8 W's? I've got 6 . . .
have 3 w's :(
have 4 w's :)
there are 3 t7/28's
Une, Are you missing a w 5 and a w6?
no, a 4 and a 5--i've got 5 WH's and 1 WE
the 2 w-6's are plurals of 2 of the w-5's. the 3rd w5 is a we and there are 2 wh-4's
thanks
