Gabbyrell, try a different "H." I found most of those words around one particular letter.
Gabbyrell, an h5/34 uses the z, but if you click on the little definition "?" by the word it doesn't have an entry for it... weird.
okay

I need to find out how to get stats. I'm up to 70, but I'm about to run out of steam.
I don't know where the stats come from, but they should show up soon.
Guess I'll wait until morning.... Good night, all.
r5/14: ALSO a link to the past. -)
augurus: heh... thanks!
er, edit: thanks still in effect, but I got two r5/10s out of it, still looking for the r5/14!
reedit: well, i already have 3 r514s that could qualify, so i'll shut up now, and have another drink.
44 words, 584 points, time for sleep... I can't believe how much further some of you get, so quickly. :)
Are there more than 2 words that use the Z? There's a 4 and a 5 letter that I've found.
Found one word starting Z, but I have just started.
44 words for 556 so far. I'll check again tomorrow
I have 2x4 and 1x5 words using Z so far.
Sprite, how many letters?
Ohhhh... z4/13. It's made from corn. Now I'm outta here.
Two words of 4 letters and one word of 5 letters.
I am very disappointed that a person throwing over the H7/52 cannot be called a H10 :(

And M7/36 as well.

LOL, anything remind you of Frank?..am old..ha. My son knows metallica stuff..not me!!
a6/21 - a kind of mosquito! Bagged out last night at 91/1254. Took me an hour today just to find one more word. This is one tough grid!
I sure dont have THAT A word..just a simple one..(like me)..mosquito eh? ty.
u5/10 x2
Gah. Three As so far but no mosquito.
sfneil - what other As do you have? Except for the mosquito, all I've got is the obvious a4/4...
one is your a4 with an extra letter, that I can't find a definition for, but I suppose could be a plural form. Plus I just realized my other a IS the mosquito... I just typed it in as a guess! So still one more A to find.
Fneh. Taking a break with 98. Can't believe there are 7 Ps I can't find. Like I said, fneh.
The last A is an a5/14. Got it by guessing -- never seen it before. But if it helps, it's an old French measure of land: about an acre.
Yeah I'm taking a break, too. I need coffee!
I HATE the A's!!!! lol. I now have 2 of the (swear word) I even went through a dictionary..(which I hate to do)..A words suck..(ha, wait til i get to the other words..i dont know you may hear a barrage of swearing, followed closely by apoplexy!!)
Thanks, sfneil. Got the French acre and am nearly blissful at being able to cross A off of my list.

Down to the last u. u6x2, u7,u5x7, and u4.
sj- add a vowel to the end of one of your a's.
Thanks smithchick! Any other hints you might want to part with :)
If p5/16 past tense to open is acceptable, why is it's oposite u7 not?
For the life of me I can't get the French measure of land. Any help??
a5/14: According to Columella, a Gallic word for a measure equiv. to half a Roman jugerum. Formerly, a measure of land in France, varying in different parts of the country
Cagey: add another vowel to your a 4/4
I have m4/6, m5/14, m6/24 and m4/6 in alpha order...which am I missing?
PAV3 - I've got that one I think - I've got a6/21, a4/4, and a5/10 - I think I'm missing and a5/14 right??
smithchick - u6x3
PAV3 - m7/36
Any hints on the u7?
hints on the m7?
M7 - add a letter to the M6
u7/36 - a fruit that's even less mature than another one could be described as this.
U7 - Not sure this helps but.. Not fully ready or prepared.
hmm. the only thing I think of there is a word that's not on the grid. :)
how many m6 are there? I can't figure how to add a letter to mine to make it an m7....
Nicole - a person that uses the m6 might be called the m7
ah, that m6 can be made in two ways, and I was looking at the wrong one! Still trying to figure out the u7...
add a letter to u6/24
has anyone made headway on the i words?
thank you cagey - it made sense now.
i4/5, i5/10

jfactor: yep -- add the de to one of your p4/8 words ....
So words don't have to have actual definitions to be considered words?
anyone want to try to explain that to bakedpotatoesoup !!! It's one of the great Babble mysteries!
Sorry, this is my first time playing. Do you just keep plugging in random combinations and hope it's a word?
repost: Today's babble stats: 7 x 8 6 x 19 5 x 36 4 x 56 --- 119 words --- A -- 4 D -- 9 E -- 3 H -- 16 i -- 2 M -- 5 N -- 3 P -- 38 R -- 26 U -- 12 Z -- 1
bakedpotatosoup: I was joking because we do sometimes have words that do show a definition when you click on that little box that has the ? mark in it [next to each word in the list]. All of us do what you're doing - call it 'noodling' - and I've expanded my vocabulary by learning new words that way! Of course, no one I know except other Babblers know them!! LOL Please do ask any questions - and we'll try to answer them. Welcome!!
Ugh. Finally done. Thanks for all the help, everyone... especially IceBoySF!
oops - type --- words that do NOT show a definition!! sorry

how do we know how many words and what number of words per letter are in the puzzle. Do all the words ever get posted for us to look at?
this is sad...i'm missing an r4 and a u6
katesmom, scroll down a bit for the stats; you have to wait till after the puzzle closes to see all the words- click on the name of someone who got them all to see their word list.
