Not me, I'm going to machine-gun the dawn chorus and try to get some kip 'Nite Jacula - thanx for the company :)
instead of username at isp.ca, it's username@isp.ca
I'll try that then BrandyJack. Night Anj! Did you win? Hope you did! You deserved to.
z7/68
15 words 92 points. Oh sh**. LOL.
now to find the definition for it Dove is a transient visiter of the Keys of East Florida
Jacula, Brandyjack, et al. - My complaint about easy clues wasn't directed at either of you, or any of the regulars at this bar for that matter. It seems that most of this sort of clue is coming at other times of the day. I don't really fret about it too much, and simply hide the log during times when the flow is a little heavy.
the llittle ? box doesn't give a def. for the z7 word .... will try another place.
Tedybeth, I gave the definiton. took a while to find it.
yes, mourning dove ---- and lots of belly dancers with the same name!! LOL I like it best when we post clue for the larger words --- the 4 & 5 letter ones are easier to 'noodle' ... but that's just my opinion ...

Signing out now. Still can't find your addy BJ, Are you on MSN? If so, post addy in next 15 mins for me.
Debs40ish is yours really I7/28 or is it L7/28? Ice Boy has an I7/48 and my sneak preview list says there is only one 7 letter I (eye) word.
Sorry I meant L7..oops....
L7/28
Ermm but I have 2xL7 now....just to add to confusion.. sorry....
use my disposable address junk2@cogeco.ca just about time to wipe it anyway. i'll reply with my regular address.
39 words, dunno what all yr abbrs mean... not bad for the first time, i guess... great game!
L7/28 means it starts with L, is 7 letters long and scores 28 points. Score is determined by the size of the word -3, x the count on the letters themselves. so would be 4 * 7 in this case.
L6/27 L7/40
59 for 670, crash time for me.
BJ - have sent to your junk addy with my msn addy. Let me know if it arrives.
my headache has finally dissipated, almost hate to go to bed.... I tend to wake up with the dratted things...

There isnt an in5/18
Reposting and word lists from previous day sure take up an awful lot of log space. Makes sifting to find clues difficult. Hopefully the stats will be posted with the puzzle sometime soon so we all start with them. One set a day's all we need.

There are two w5/22. One is like my children tend to be when they are tired, but drop a letter, and the other has to do with H2O.
Got the kid one, I was eyeing that one. Should always try misspellings. Drawing a blank with the water clue
Oh wait, no I didn't get the kid ones, not valid.
think wet adjective -
I mean wet adverb
lianakate's is a better clue on the w5/22 than my kid one. It's the same word, though.
Got 'em, thanks!
Still missing one a. I got the additional ac5. Can anyone look at my list at 10:04 and tell me what I'm missing? I've finished d, i, o, r, w, y, and z if any one needs clues. Thanks:)

Anj, Moozey.......hey......done my serious work stuff...back on babble
Lianakate, it's a compound of your po4/9 and your ci4/6 if you have them. It sounds like 'what the parrot sees' in the past tense.

I just wish TPTB would decide what language is spoken here & be consistant. If Hawaiian is valid, it should always be valid, for instance. We also have Latin & now Spanish thrown in just to keep things... interesting. Yeah, we'll go with that word.
U deserve 2 feel wired......staying up that late with Jacula....what time, our time does it change over?
karenh - i have ze4 and its plural..A protein made from corn
poos isn't a word. They should see my daughter's diapers!

Hi Karenh...the z4 and z5 sound like magaz.... as in Cosmo/FHM etc. The other is a ze7/68 which is a compound of Z3... (Buddhist belief that the truth is in your heart or Everything Z..., song by Bush) and A4... (which is Verdi's opera about ancient Egypt/pharaohs, Radamis etc)
SmithChick, I got ze4 & ze5, whats the stats on the other 2 ze's?

Anyone have the 8 yet?
I have a p8
MtnJock, what the devil are you talking about, compound made from corn? You're making that s--up.
for p8 clue, see Bobsta at 9:09
Ptooey should be a word. They use it in the funny papers all the time.
that was really interesting - to see the full list of yesterdays words! well done!
lol makes sense to me.,
begrery: The 9:09 clue is not helpful. Not sure what parrot or C4 Bobsta is talking about.
i just came back to babble from doing domestic chores..I got the 9 word P..immediately with your clue!! ty so very much!
words you can always see a full list of the words by clicking on "view yesterday's puzzle" and then clicking on any name that has all the words. The list will pop up for you.
That was the beset clue there was. here's the other: p8/75 an organic compound containing many double bonds; especially : one having the double bonds in a long aliphatic hydrocarbon chain
arghhhhhh..no i didnt. I got an 8letter word..ewwww..(big one though)..ty
lottijw.your daughters age next birthday.

the parrot clue helped me to get it... the bird says "P___ want a cracker" and the backwards of the c4 work makes it
Well, that's certainly a popular on-line cross word puzle clue... can't find the answer though!
What is the value of the am5?
am5/14
Jera - try nursemaids; am5/14
The meaning of the AM5/14 word is to go full force or with great might. use and m word to get it.
I'm missing an L - can anyone help? lo4/4 x 5 lo4/6 x 2 lo5/10 x 2 lo5/16 x 2 lo6/27 x 2 lo7/40 ly4/7 x 2 ly5/16

We're all getting that today Begrery! Jera, your Am/ word. The root is in a longer A word (not in this puzzle) meaning willing to co-operate, tractable, responsive...friendly, even. The M-word bit is the sail on boat as in 'hoist the m....sail!'
It's OK Moozey, you're in the grid so we won't forget you :)
Hey Chessy, missed you there :) Thankx for the hint.
Now, now Anj, behave yourself!

Hi all, I'm back! Anj- can't believe how close you came to finishing yesterday, you are my hero! :) How are you doing tonight?
Anj- I think you are missing a pe6/24: write + look
Hi Lola :) Yup, nearly got there but I was just too exhausted at the end...and i'm a zombie tonight. A good looking one tho' hahaha On 201 at the mo. One P (...ta ) and 2 Ts to go.
In7/ 48, can anyone give me a clue?
Anj- do you know which t's you are missing?
trade you a P clue Anj for help with the In7
mtnjock, take your 5/14 and make it an adverb.
mtnjock, the i7 is an extension of your i5/14 :) That's a freebie as i've got all the Ps now. Ts, however...
I think I read earlier that there was an L7-28. If so, I need a clue, because I can't figure that sucker out at all.

What do you have in T's, I have to6/18 if you need it.
Lola, I think one of them is Temazepam lol :'D
Judi- think more crazy :)
Anj- LOL we should be so lucky!!! There are 9 x t4, 6 x t5 and 4 x t6, if that helps :)
mtnjock - no, don't have that one. Any hint? My brain is to babbled to try reasoned deduction at the mo...
lola100: I have the L627 and the L740 that are crazy-related. Am I missing an L728 or is that my mistake?
Judy you are on the right track - go with it - like lola said get crazier
Judi, thats crazy also... just more so than the other crazies
Judi- Lo7/28 is more crazy than lo6/27 and lo7/40 :)
take your to__ music award, but make it even more so.. (just like lo7)
lola100: Got it. Running around in my rubber room with my one-armed jacket on in celebration. Nyuk nyuk nyuk.

Done with the A's, on to the C's!
You are very welcome Anj :)
Thank you, Hevs. Those last three letters are my nemisis today!
Oh1 and you too Jera :)
No, there's no def for the te5/20 - it seems to be a misspelling of the 3/4 legged table used for holding ye olde colonial ritual of tea & sticky bun (which would be a te6/33 if it was in this puzzle ) :)
Hi mu! there is a pe6/33: a mexican cactus, but no pe6/30 :)
Have the I's or D's been listed lately? Scrolling down is giving me a headache... or amybe it's this puzzle when I have the flu...

Help! I'm missing a te6. Not the band one.
Hi smithchick, there are two 'band' ones, the second has a different last letter. The other te6 is a plural of the te5/20 - see my 4:03pm clue of you haven't got that one yet :)
If only German numbers counted here...
Is there a reason why we are listing all the letter combinations, can't we just go by the amount of words we are looking for kind of ruins the fun of looking.
When people ask for hints, others are kind enough to give them. Some people are trying to complete puzzle before bedtime... not just the "fun" of first finding of words.
I'll stop if it's annoying... about ready to pack it in anyway, at least for a few hours. I might come back after kids are in bed.
speedfresk, you can hide the log if you don't want to see the hints :)
A belated thanks, anj, I had to step away for a little bit.
Okay, I've been at this off and on all day. I must get a life. I still haven't figured out the te6. I have one that is a plural of the te5.
Snowy Owl - are you there

Anyone have a clue for the yo5???
swmbo think beatles perhaps that's too obscure
swmbo: don't know what it means, but the yo5/20 rhymes with one of the to5/ words in the puzzle.
haha, I actually tried yollo as in yollo submarine LOL
swmbo, think grunge meisters S..... Youth and change the first letter :)
Unfortunately I do not have to to5 either LOL
not that like johns wife with different ending rhymes with a t4/7 youve probably got
i'm trying, I really am...
have a gin and ***** ...
.... and guy hairdressers
GOT IT!!! The clues were great, I am just a teeny bit thick. Plus I am more an opera than grunge kinda girl...
g'night all beaten by the clock
OK, while I am asking, I may as well go for broke: 2 'ey's, not the ocular one or the obsolete plural of the ocular one...
had grunge been heard of in the 60's?
ferrari, I was a teen in the 60s and I remember the Beatles well, but not grunge. What was your allusion?
you said you wern't a grunge type
Well, Blue Cheer was fairly grungy, back in the day.....
ey4 A nestling hawk or falcon, especially one to be trained for falconry. The other one is the same letters as the obsolete ocular one, but rearranged
That's right, ferrari, not into grunge. Not that there is anything wrong with it :)
Thanks Gwen! I tried every combo I could think of with no luck.
en, ne
I thought there was an 8 letter word but its not in brandyjacks list
I think it's in the list as a po8..
just seen it .blinned
I'm going blind. Missing an ac/4. Have Timothy Leery's drug of choice, roadrunner's company and teen facial problems

Anyone got a clue for a ca5/18 - not arrives (past tense)??
ChrisP ca5/18 lily family, especially C. quamash of western North America, having grasslike leaves, a raceme of blue flowers, and a bulb that was an important food for various Native American peoples.
OMG, Chessy, how did I miss THAT? Thanks!
chris p - alt. spellling of quamash how bout ci6/24?
Gwen, I think I get to the point where I'd miss my own name even if it was written right across the middle! :)
Thank you for the clues - I'd only been staring at the word for ages and convincing myself I couldn't make it in the grid! Well, I did get less than 4 hours sleep last night thanks to yesterday's puzzle. Have now completed this one and off to bed!!
only missing 20 now, but they are kicking my butt... anyone got help for po8?
ci6/24 - take ci4/9 and add 'ol' to it.
Sorry - take ci4/6. ci4/9 doesn't exist!

Greek ribbon? Indian side table?
Hi from Hong Kong. Any hints for the YA5 and YO5?

ya5: sweet potatoes yo5: rhymes with tonic
Oops, ya5: add one vowel to the word for a garden or enclosed space that rhymes with bard
jax, the so5/10 I have sounds like where I get my hair done, but the official def is: n : a man who is a respected leader in national or international affairs [syn: statesman, national leader]
swmbo, indian side table for te6 has me confused, too. Is there another description?
thank you gwen!
Gwen I got it by Googling "Indian side table"
Anyone have the so 5, please, pretty please with hot fudge on top!! ( I don't like cherries! ha)
