Magic Shrinking Bear ... Baby Shower Gift

My most favorite gift to give to new parents is an 18"-24" standing teddy bear accompanied by an "certificate" (poem of instructions I wrote):

Simply take a picture of baby and me,
just once a week and soon you will see.
Once each week for the very first year
Then on each birthday. Don't panic, don't fear
One picture here, another one there
I'll shrink a bit here, I'll shrink a bit there.
I'll keep on shrinking 'til baby is grown,
Into a magical friend he can call all his own!

I also include a disposable camera to start off.

I like to get a bear from Build-a-Bear Workshop and customize it for the new one (when possible) or for the "family" in general. For example, when I learned I was having a granddaughter, the bear was dressed in pink and lace; my grandson's was dressed as an outdoor woodsman.
