is anyone else trying to use the z to make things plural? like "dotz" and "rotz"
Does it work, Leslie?
sadly, no.
I did try snoz -- think it should be a word!
a lot of times i find myself typing in words that are spelled wrong but pronounced phoentically would sound like a word, then i'm mad it doesn't take it. i think we should get points for creativity.
LA -- maybe we should ask Dr_God to make a different site dedicated to creative spelling? :D

Hello everyone. Debs, what does that to6 that is your ex-husband mean? It's a Britishism. Maybe 'worth getting rid of?'

bye everyone! (*^_^*)
augh. i thought i was doing so well til i saw the word total. lol
Good day all.
Hi macadam.
Hi Dianne. Is everything calm in your part of the world now the conference is over?
Yes, things are back to normal. It really disrupted things here - schools closed, shops closed, raods closed, etc. All in all the protests were kept in check except for one night. Glad it is over.
I saw some of the trouble on the news and hoped you were safe from it.This game makes the planet seem even smaller when you worry about individuals across the world.I`m glad life is back to normal for you.
I felt really bad for the small shop owners who had to loose out on so much business - especially at this time of year. I am just glad that there were few serious injuries. Now New York is store for lots of problems - mass transit stike has been called - UGH.
I suppose the busier the time for the ones wanting to make there grievances known is best for them but I doubt that they get much sympathy.Lets hope NY is back to normal very quickly.
Hi Mum :)
Morning Lotti.
Can you imagine the lost revenue the NY strike will cause - the stores must be gasping over this - the week before Christmas.
Is dad up yet?? Ask him if he wants to come to town with me......Jeff got his bonus today, so it would be rude not to spend it!!!!!! LOL :D
You can`t postpone Christmas.Traffic chaos from private cars will be next.
Lotti.Yes yes yes yes yes etc the man says.
Many of our beaches have been closed down due to riots over racism/terrorism... the beach communities are seeking compensation because the police locked down the suburbs and business was disrupted... they expect the government to pay for keeping them safe!
Ok....just off in shower, should be there in about 45 mins :)
That sounds like Hong Kong - some shop owners are asking the gov. for compensation for lost revenue during the WTO.
MrpThe trouble is governments don`t have any money of their own it`s all the people who pay over and over again.
OK Lotti.
Has anyone gotten the S7/36, S7/32 and S8/50 that were mentioned earlier in the log?
Yes, I have. Think what you use to distribute ice-cream
Not me Dianne.I`ve been hunting for the 10 (and still am)
Sc 7/36 Sc8/50
Diane Sc7/36 and plural for the 50 , sn7/32
Thanks Haz. Now i'm looking for the S32. Macadam - think allergies.
Thanks Haz.Got `em.
The restuarant/tourist business are the worst hit according to our news... (they depend on xmas trade to carry them throught the 'bad times' during the rest of the year...) Just imagine small places in Bali and how they suffer after bomb attacks, or tsunami hit countries... Actually, they should shut up now I think of it...
Thanks Davetins - got it :)
Cheers Dianne.I thought I needed an i for that word.
Mrp It makes you grateful for what you have.
I've worked out from the log that the 10 begins with p. Any kind soul like to say what the second letter is?
Haz its po
Thank you, kind soul McAdam
Po - it is a combo of the po 6/21
Dianne - s is past tense of pulls scornful expression
Thank you - I've got it now and can therefore take a break. See you later.
Bye Haz.
for the 10 think allergies
granadan - thanks - I got it.
I am laughing myself silly... watching 'Father Ted'... ha ha ha ha
anyone got the last z word?? Clue plz??
I only saw a few Father Ted episodes, but I can understand why you`re laughing. My problem with the program was that I missed a lot of the dialogue because I was laughing so much.
It is an extension of your z4.
got both the area words... the last one is?
the same area word zo4 with "not as much" added on
duh!! thanks mac!! was thrown by 'not as much'... :}
Sorry.Glad you got it in the end.
don't watch 'Father Ted'.... if you have a bladder problem 8O
Mrp you are so right.
Morning all, Father Ted is awesome
Morning Yoink.
Luv the Father!!
mac... your clue was awesome... I 'read' into things too much and look for the latin base crossed with the russian flare!!
Way out Mrp!!!!I`m just a simple soul.
MrP have you seen the ep where they are all giving something up for lent? It's hilarious when they all start hallucinating, Father Dougal seeing Ted as a massive inline skate :D
Y... I haven't!! I want it! They are playing it on UKTV every night here so will try and get catch it...
I'm sure the christmas one will be playing here soon, the fathers out shopping for christmas presents in a department store and blunder into the lingerie department. It's a desperate struggle to find their way out of there along with a group of other priests before they are seen
I will Y... they are bound to run it here.
My fave was when they had the milkfloat wired up to a bomb.... I cried laughing...
I laughed myself silly when they all went on holiday in a tiny caravan and had to share with Graham Norton et al... so funny!!
Good morniing everyone. Is there a theme today?
Break time .Back later.
Good Morning!
Hi Eva, I think there's just a general seasonal/holidays theme until Babs gets back in the new year Hi Poo's Bye Mac
Thanks
Going to bed... got 150 words! Need brandyjack now!! Bye all!
bye mr p
I've only found 67 and am definately struggling! lol.
i'm just getting started myself... 56 so far.
Bye Mr P
what's the second letter for the p 10?
mmmmmm...... breakfast and Babble...... ; ) (((Yoink))) : )
Mia, it's a Po 10/77 ... there was a clues for it earlier in the log.
Hi Babs! (((xx))) Didn't expect to see you today
gotta copy the grid for the train, Yoink! ; ) I'm off in about an hour.
The clue for the Po 10/77 was from Cybernan @ 1.25am if anyone who wants it.
I replied to your mail, it's gone to yahoo
Note to self: if editing sentences, take out all redundant words o_O
Feeling like a dunce! For the p10 I have the first part, but it doesn't allow the obvious which is to be without the p6- and I can't think of what else it could be? Also, if there are p___ boys, then why aren't there p___m__?
well, i've got six letters of it, lol.
think of what body part does po affect?? it's a weird word
Hint: Take the first five letters that you have from the po6 and add 'facial features'
ah, nice clue poo's mum :) thanks
Excellent one TT!
thanks Yoink. replied.... : )
Have found 94 words, feel a little better now. i try to get at least 100 per game :)
I am sticked and stucked on two f's....
Bless you! Which actually might be said when there's too much of this around.
Wow, that was quick!
heh heh! : )
Have 139 pretty easily (except for that p10) but now am entering the crawling stage. But nothing feels that bad after the mammoth puzzle the other day.
morning folks :)
Hi babbler. Got your email. Have you already reached your destination? I look forward to hearing more from you. Hope that going home is a good thing. I know that it is for some, but it's funny (except for the pressure it puts on everyone) that suddenly at the holidays all family strife and pathology is supposed to go poof and we are all supposed to be part of the Walton's family gathering. (-:
hi sherb!
hi Poo's Mom!
Its more like the family in hellraiser here than the waltons...
eva add o4/4 on to the end of your po6/21
does anyone have any clues for the top row n?
granadan- I'm sure that's true for many. When I have to drive anywhere on the Thanksgiving or Christmas I am very aware that the road is filled with drivers who are a) anxious as all hell about where they are going b) seerely depressed about who they are or arent' going to be with c) exhausted by all the preparation d) drugged or boozed to the gills to deal with the above. Not trying to be a grinch. Actually love the holidays now that I can do them as is best for me and those I love.
mia ne4/5?
thanks davetins - got it
top row n . one sounds like a 4w drive with a dodgy front letter. One is same name as a brand of oil and its plural. one is name of a scottish aquatic monster
thanks for the dose of real life, Eva!! lol!! Nope, we've never aspired to be the waltons! But we're not hellraisers either. We can always expect a family barney on Christmas Day, usually around 3pm (so I shall escape to babble as soon as they start!), but otherwise noone's expecting too much, just more of the usual. I'm about to set off shortly. :)
is a barney an argument?
yes!! just a cute word for when everyone has a tantrum and throws their crackers around!! lol
Replied back :D
126 words to go and the wells run dry. Hows every one doing today?
70 LEFT. Ive pulled out most of my hair - will start on the dogs in a minute...
good lshult and you? I'm at 91 words
it would help if i ever had a full grid though.
sorry, i didn't get the car or the oil clues, obviously too dense, lol
Hii Ishult, not bad, though I have 160 left. Pretending to work sure gets in the way of babbling...
okay mia - one sounds like a tide, but slightly different spelling. The other sounds like a tight fisted person spelled backwards - again, spelt slightly differently. sorry, unsure what either mean.
mia: the oil one has a double vowel... not a brand around here but i finally monkeyed it
ne 4/5 (I think it's a scottish word for turnip) ne + tv show **isode ne 4/5 A tall, usually evergreen East Indian tree (and plural for the ne 5)
Ah - so its tree oil... was wondering , people seem to be raving about this stuff and Id never heard of it!
Time to go. B'bye everyone !!!!! :D Wish me a safe journey this afternoon. And if I don't see you before the weekend, have a wonderful Christmas. When's Hannukah? Yoink, thanks hun. I replied back. (((xxx)))
Chanukah begins on the 24th. Have a safe and sane trip!
Have a safe trip Babbler!
Got it Babs. Have a safe (and productive with your grid!) trip, and see you soon ((xx))
can't figure out 3rd z!! got area & it's plural. what's missing?
Ish.. same base, add word meaning 'not as much'
Ishult-same root- think absence of
I think Chanuka starts the evening of the 25th
got it ty
mornin all!!
You're right. Just checked mybook and it's sundown of Sunday the 25th.
Brandyjack's list is up ... not that I was desperately checking for it *cough*
Hi Eva :)
mornin'! time for me to get ready for work - back later. Have fun everyone!
heh, forgot id changed my icon last night in anticipation of todays seasonal theme... my snowman makes me diddle...he looks so excited!
brandyjacks list?
Brandyjack posts a stats list - including second letters - most days. I'd never have a shot at most of these grids without it, heh.
Look on the Babbler's Anon link on the right.
anyone got the co8/45?
Builds off your co4/5 that isn't hot, Ish.
Lunchtime, later folks
still havn't found any of the co5's but only 100 more words to go
lshult -- not go, but i Co** (co4) and he co*** (co5) also, nat king Co** (co4) and its plural (co5)
oops, i meant to type co8's!!
hah, well, one of them is the state of being hip or trendy...or lukewarm
co7/36 several barrel makers. co8/45 not feeling warm towards
ome down 2 to go
anyone have a clue yet for the 10?
evandine, think allergies
Evandine... first 5 letters of your po6/21 + 'facial features'
what letter does it start with?
thanks! got it!
gotta take a break ...I've typed 'scone' half a dozen times now.
ok, 100 words to go...time to take a breakfast break!
I keep typing scowl.... keep turning the m upside down in my mind... wishful thinking, 57 to go
i keep wanting to see "melon" "colon" and "color"
Good afternoon :)
Hi Sprite
still mornin here, to gmornin sprite! hehe
In that case: welcome in advance to my afternoon ;)
ooh, does that mean i get to leave work early?!
I did :D
I`m with you Sprite, afternoon here too.
I`m on hols till next year.
only 8:40 am here. my day has only just begun!
I can't walk very far and they keep moving us around at work, placing me further away from the printers, copiers and toilets and such all the time. This morning they broke all agreements again and I snapped. Went home, mailed my boss I am sick. Have been crying for over an hour now... time to babble!
5 hours later here.No time zones here to complicate things
oh sprite, im so sorry! is there someone you can report them to?
heh macadam -- i think sometimes you guys know our time zones better than we do! im in the eastern time zone, so im the most far ahead of the states...people in california probably arent even awake yet!
Nope, nowhere to go. But home. Which I finally did, after 4 years of battle. The controlling doctor at work suggested I quit. Yeah, wouldn't my employer love that. But I didn't fight all this time to get back to work, just to let them make me quit.
Sprite that must be so frustrating. He/she`s probably under stress from work and home , but that`s no excuse.Enjoy the extra babble time.
yes, babble your way to relaxation... or at least to mental bafflement...heh
I will, thanks! :) I am just SO tired of explaining to them that water is wet. All the stress is unnecessary, if they would only for once listen and keep to the appointments.
i like that descirption...might hafta remember that in my next argument with someone over something stupid...heh
I now understand why international companies have lots of clocks with various times and places on them.Phoning the USA made easy. How dim can I be?
I like the bowl icon :) Can I have a cuppa?
totally macadam! not to mention that you have to also take into account mealtimes and whatnot!
Sprite. That is my Wassail bowl, full of wine.Help yourself.as often as you like, it`s like the magic porridge pot and continually refills itself.( mine does anyway)
*pours wine and drinks* Wonderful! Thanks, it's a blessing :)
89 words to go...havent checked the stats yet... wouldnt it be nice to finish a biggie without having to look?! hehe -- as if i could!
Still 191 to go, lol. You are going great!
hit a good stride nice + early...i think thats done with now...haha
bon voyage, babbler!
148 to find and so, so stuck.
You`re very welcome Sprite.Sorry about the delayed response, grandson had a long story to tell.At 6 that`s very important!
(((miametro))) Keep looking or take a break. All of a sudden you will see a word that leads to a number of others. Promise.
A grandson of 6 IS important! :) Great to see you enjoy him so much.
Love him to bits (the other 2 grandchildren too)
That's wonderful, macadam. :D
why isn't norse a word?
proper noun
Time for a break to read chapter one of Artemis Fowl .
Because it needs a capital N?
morning everyone!!! :)
Hi efor!
morning!
Good morning all, I need a clue for os5/12 it is driving me crazy
= Os6/21 minus last letter.
Thanks Sprite but I don't have os/6
i only have an os 4/4 so that clue doesn't really help, lol.
I know Mia that is why it is driving me nuts.
Unit of pressure, think solutions. Or think a bony little animal that can't see well and digs tunnels.
i never seem to be very good at vowel words. always a weakness.
use the S under the O, not above it
Vowel words and K-words, same here. I just hate it when a grid has a K. Or a lot of vowel words.
this is the second day running the grid has no A's ... bliss ...
Oh, and once you found the 6, take away the last letter for the 5 and make a plural for the 7 :)
I'm supposed to be wrapping presents, cleaning, cooking, etc, etc ... but what the heck!
any clue on the zo8? i've tried combinations after the zo4/9 & i'm stuck!
found them, thanks :) never heard of those words before!
Hey all!
Zo8: without any regions.
zo8 area + word for fewer
zo8: without a zo4
Sherb, hi! :) Yeah, I know... you will be doing all that, for sure... as soon as you are done babbling ;)
efor - if you're without a clue, you're clue****, and if you're without a zo4 ... ;)
oh, duh... thank you everyone! i tried everything but that.
im back to try to tackle a bigger babble! mornin all
sherb i like your pic
Thansk Evanadine I got it
hi sprite! sorry to read about your troubles earlier...I'm sure you'll find solace with your babble buddies :) ((hugs))
Got to go, see you all later. Good luck hunting!
Bye Sprite.
Already did, sherb! It's good to be here. *hugs right back*
Help please need a clue on the first sc7/36 I have the ice scream one.
263 words today
sc7: a delicious crustacean but change the "a" to "o"
Just before logging off: Sc7/36: rhymes with female troll.
efor - thanks, there's nothin like Joe Cool to bring a smile to my face :D
Thanks Unea and Sprite
yw!
why can't costmo be a word? :(
I mean cosmo
its shorthand for cosmopolitan
i think it would have to be plural to refer to space
any help with so 6/24? its a doozey
I think costmo SHOULD be a word, as in Rolex watches costmo than Casio ones.. Hi everyone
Rich - males who wear something with their shoes could be called so**** ;)
ty sherb, needed that too :)
i'm stuck on this "sc7: a delicious crustacean but change the "a" to "o" ", i can only think of scampi!
hi Yoink :) yw trish :)
Think of the shape of a shell, mia.
mia - think of Coquilles St Jacques :)
I need some clues again so6/24 so7/28
so 7/28 without the singular so4/4
Marc - just gave a clue for the so6...and the so7 is to be without a male child :)
Hi, everyone...need some help with first co 8/45 and first co 6/24
Sherb I must be dense but I cannot make heads or tails of your so6 clue.
Hi everyone... mia... it's not a delish crustacean, it's a delish bi-valve.
Babs1 ... the co8= co + not as much + either/ **
Darleen no boy children so7
got the so7, it's the so6???
thanks, tt!
ah, got it now, thanks guys :)
dar - start with shoes and so*** (lose the last two letters) and add males ;)
Thanks for the clue Serb got the so7 but the so6 still didn't get it from your previous clue.
drop first letter from the sc 7/36 for the co6 (clue to that one from une at 8.52
Thanks Serb got it now
sorry, that was meant for Babs... it can get confusing in here, heh.
tt...got that co 6/24...need the one right after the co 8/45..
Babs, it's the sea-shell 'sc' word, drop the s for your co6
gah. Got it Sherb. Maybe I need a break.
Oh yeah, THANKS!
Babs, Trish's clue works for both sc7s
got it tt...just realized there were two sc 7/36 so got the co one now! Still working on all the clues for the so 6/24...
Finally got sherb's clue on the so 6/24...tyvm
This is killing me, i've still got 80 words to find, but can't find them!!!
Darleen - that is a pretty HOT icon you have there! :) Where can I get a santa like that!?
I guess it's a secret
79 words still to find... how is everyone this afternoon??
i'm ok -feel a little nutty 8)
any help with the se 6's?
quiet, evandine ;) 27 words to go and struggling, here
HI Eva, not bad here, hoping that the next hour goes by quickly so I can go home
Hey renfield... Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't
hey shro!!!
DONE>>>anyone need a clue???
Congrats Ouwachita!
good job ouw... could you help me with the se 6's?
morning all! fyi: I waved at you group hug Schro and Yoink! hahahaha. kidding. oh no I'm not. no really i am kidding. too soon to torture. no not really cuz it's never too soon
Nice work Ouwachita :) I could use a hint for the pl7
Smaller, it must be useful to not need an opponent for an argument
se6's are all combinations of the five things we all have ... i.e. haring, sight, etc.
morning renny!!! m&m's sound good, i'm going to go find an icon too
pl7...p + le6/18
ok - smaller - 8)
tyvm Ouwachita :)
Morning Smaller, a big upside down smile to you.... Was there a theme today.....I think I missed this one
yes, I'm VERY efficient that way. and it occupies the day
shro - i think madame prez said seasonal
thanks ouw, only missing 1 se6/18 now...
found it!
ty renfield, I guess I'm dressed right then.
i think you are shro - in your little red st nick outfit 8)
both se6/18 are anagrams of each other
help please :) clues for co6/21 and co7/32?? anyone? thank!
tutti - not as hot as (then plural)
help please. Clues for en's.
doxy - en + slave or servant (the others use this root)
trish...thanks...i feel like such a dork when i miss the ones right in your face..thank you!
can't find anything yet : ( schroeder - hey it's at least a smile!!!! I can easily turn my head upside down to see life the way i want
thanks trish, got them
yw tutti Most of the ones I've got left are 4 letters, I'm going to feel like a twit when I have to ask for them, lol.
lol smaller, only you could look at it that way....just let me finish my mocha and I'll be a much more pleasant person....
oh tinkerbell is always pleasant!! and tink's got an enviable butt too!
I suspect turning your head upside down could raise a few smiles too. But then your head would be the wrong way up again
OK, I am getting off to a bad start .. I need help with the co8's. pls
yes, yoink- my day is VERY full that way.
And dizzy too?
co8- co+opposite of more+either/++
smaller - one down, two to go thx
of course not yoink, b/c my hair is brown. i think dizziness is a natural occurence of blonds only
Co8 - Not warm + last part of scottish loch**** monster Co8 - bird cage + poetic 'before' + consonant
Fair enough, though I know I'd get dizzy if I kept turning my head upside down and then the right way up again, and I'm not blond
i'm getting dizzy just listening to u 2 8)
I'm done, thank god I didn't have to ask for help on 4s again, it was getting shameful ;) Anyone want a clue before I go?
trishtrash-- thx on to the d's
thanks trishtrash! yoink - good point. maybe it's because I do it all the time so I'm tolerant to the effects. so once you become chipper 24/7 (AND YOU WILL) THEN you won't get dizzy. : )
ren- lol!! it is getting a little deep
well done trish..thanks again for your help :)
Thanks tutti, and you're welcome.
deep?
Hi everyone...SCHOOLS OUT! UUHHH FREAK OUT!
hi sam! ...any homework to do?...
woohoo for trishtrash!! help with the first sc7? sherb- depth of poop to justify my global domination by chipperness
Yay Sam......Holiday time!!!!! This is Lotti by the way, I`m at my mums!! :)
sherb - i'm not sure if getting deep is a western slang term - it means the cow manure is getting deep enough that we need to put our boots on
first sc7 is a bivalve, eaten in Coquilles St Jacques :)
ty smaller ... sc7 ... something you use to get ice-cream out of the tub :)
sherb- not any HOORAY! lotti- hello haven't seen you for a while!
Hi Sam! Hi Lotti!
Okay stop with the blond comments!! Hi Sam!
ren - ROFLMAO!
oops, wrong one... Sherb was paying attention :)
Trishtrash- oops have that one, what's the other one
Leaving for now to drive home and swear at fellow motorists, bye!
Hi smaller! hi shroeder!
Ooops! Thanks Sherb! poop's so hard to see through. sorry I missed it
Bye Yoink, get one for me also...
later Yoink :)
Sherb keeps using the word bivalve which sounds all squishy... I prefer to think of it as a seashell, heh.
Hi Smaller...I`m being lazy not signing in as myself :) Sam, i`ve been coming and going a lot lately!! Shopping has been a regular thing for some strange reason!!! LOL
Later Yoink :)
some help with the po 10 please!
Oh yoink, you LIAR!! You know you're gonna wave. Give in!!!!! see you later. and don't pick your nose b/c yes, someone like me WILL be watching!
need 1 more zo and it is driving me crazy
uh-oh I think I've just created road-rage people in Schroeder and Yoink. sorry, world!
Rich - first five letters of your first po6/21 + 'facial features'
I was just showing off - Jen said earlier that it was a bivalve, not a crustacean, but all it makes me think of is food! :)
JJ - without areas
thanks trish!
lol, Sherb. I'm sure it's delicious but the word bivalve doesn't persuade me to put it my mouth :p
sherb- mmmm in butter. lots of butter
same here dad brought me a ratchet gladiator game for chanuka (jewish christmas) so apparently I didn't see him at the counter and I have to practice for a good face for when he gets it out! (*^_^*) do you think it will work lottijw???
See you all later then, next time you see me i`ll be on my own icon...!! Better let Macadam have her pc back :) TTFN x
bye lotti!

Thats nice eva. Are you going to your folks for Christmas? I'm going to be away next week, so don't think I'll get a chance to babble.

Thanks deutsch. It came up with metallica on my last.fm site, so I nicked it! :)

lol deutsch!
stop cheating tyler
do you have the le6 18? add co to it
oh so its you joel
think what you want
haha, Deutsch I have 4 of the le 6/18s but apparently the fifth one if the one you speak of
but i appreciate your attempt to help me anyways Deutsch
good grief, there's 4 le 6's? *goes back to look for le's*
OK, I have been stuck too long -- I need help on the do7/32 the last do6/21 and the middle two do6/21's
I can help you with some le 6/18s...I have all except the one you speak of
Deutsch - le - A le**** learned -----hope that helps
faerie, and mch, Thanks! I now have the plural of afflicted people, the two that sound alike the one who rents out places.
deutch -- think contacts (for the eyes)
BTW, mch, it's that last clue you want!
and "TO MAKE FEWER"
Thanks, evandine, it was the contacts I couldn't see! LOL
pbr, for the middle do6's take the do4 and add the tv medical drama (pluralise for the do7). Change the last letter for the other. The last do6 has the same last letter swap as the one before/after it.
Grief! Did I make ANY sense to anyone with that last post??
lola, that was the epitome of babble
I have "to make fewer," "like contacts," " a ______ learned" and "the ______ of two evils" BUT THERE IS A FIFTH ONE DEUTSCH..... :(
Lola, I actually got a different do word from your clue!
mcherbatt, that last le is one who rents property
Okay, the middle do6/21's first. One sounds like a fin on the top of a fish. Change the last letter to another consonant for the other do6/21. With me so far? Pluralise that second do6 for the do7. :)
The last two do6/21's are the same except for the last letter. *lola wonders why she did not say that in the first place*
Lola, Wow! thanks!
lola - thanks! I got it!
Did it help deutsch?? Or are you just trying to get me to stop? lol!
Deutsch, and everyone else, I appreciate all yoru help...i think i have just decided I am not gonna get pl 7/32, co 8/45 and le 6/18 because they are all connected and I can't figure them out for the life of me
No, you helped me get a gaggle of words!
Hi Lola, can you try that trick for mcherbatt?
Yay! I have to disappear for a bit, be back soon :)
lola100 - thx, I am down to one do6--I just have to figure out which one
I TOTALLY GOT IT!
deutsch, sure! Give me a minute....
...or not! Yay macherbalt! :)
*pats Mch on the back* We never give up on anyone here!
Yay Mch!!
I am missing one of the two last do6 -- I have the one that has the er ending of the last do4 - help
pbr, change the last letter of the last do6 you have (as per the middle do6's). :)
pbr - I don't have all the do's yet...so I can't help...sorry!
Really have to go now, back soon :)
gotta go for a while, be back in a bit....thanks all
later and thanks, Lola!
bye mcherbatt!
How about a wee hint mcherbalt?
lolo -- finally got the last do -- thnx

Hi EB!
Hi Lupe!
Hi Deutsch!
I'm back! Hi Lupe :)
Hola Lola - Como estas?
welcome back. did you wrap presents? I need to do that before someone comes home.
Deutsch - the reason I've been unable to babble all day is that I've been wrapping gifts for the last 4 1/2 hours!! I've just about had it!
en (don't have any)?
Lupe- Baie lekker dankie! En met jou?
Deutsch, in 15 minutes? You must be kidding! :D

Lupe, you're starting to freak me out a little....:D
lol - I have that effect on people (not sure why)...
cybernan, sorry, en's all work on the same base. en+ se4 7( old English worker/peasant)
*YAWN* im afraid im running out of steam! but i havent even done any baking today! damn day-job keeping me from doing the important stuff!!
Deutsch - LOL my yearly assignment at the office, in charge of the Adopt-a-Family program collect-shop-wrap gifts for a needy family.
*taps foot, looks sternly at evanadine* I want my treats with the white chocolate! LOL
me too! maybe my cats will make them!
Yum Eva! what treats are we getting??
Aw Lupe, good on you! :)
Yes, Lupe! good for you! evanadine LOL!
But evaN *whining now*, you promised me krispies!!! :(

hi Lola!, love the icon. It's wicked. :)
about 100 words to find...must resort to BJ's list to figure out what I'm missing... I'll never understand why Babble won't accept me typing the same word 3 times as 3 different words!! LOL!

No boreetos, but I'll see if I can track it down :)
some choice lyrics go something like this: I've got some presents for Santa, and he's got a big one for me. Under the mistletoe, I take off all my clothes, and wait beneath the Christmas tree... and something about a warm Chimney, and the north pole...
ROFL!!!!!!
Boreetos! LOL :D

Yoink...y/w...that's the clue someone gave earlier so I could get 'em!!
Er... and keep an eye on speed and EB for me? lol! ;)
Speed; you're right! We've had Papito (our black poodle) for a years and a half, and he is definitely part of the family!!! My mom's planning to go to SPA to find another doggie for him to have a friend to play with.
awwwww don't you trust us to hug Anj (and tell him its from you) tee-hee
po 6/24 and 7/36, please?
lo - I was going to pass on YOUR hug...not give my own!
Speed, just read your post. I'm so sorry. It was a gift to have time to spend with your dog over the past couple of months, but it must have been painful too. Pets are surely members of our families and it is a heartbeaking loss. I really feel for you.
mab: we found out in Aug. that he had cancer and we were able to have these last few months of spoiling him even more..my other dog is soooo depressed so we will be going to the shelter soon to get another one, I have always had two dogs
po 6/24 and the 7 are a type of grapefruit. First three letters of French for apple, followed by three letters of a fruit which comes in honeydew, cantaloupe varieties.
Thanks Haz! Didn't have those two!
thank you Haz. Finished!
Gee, there sure are a llot of hugs flying around here. Sherry, I'm sorry for your loss too. There is something so comforting having animals about and one does feel their loss on a deep level. I always think that animals are amongst the true innocents of the world.
Well done Cybernan!
Congrats Cybernan :)
thank you, all, for your help -- must run -- have guests coming over this evening.
Congratulations, cybernan.

co6/24 - portion of meat. First four letters of a Lassie type dog, followed by letters between n and q
"Great Yoink" sounds like an expression of surprise, like "Holy cow" or Great Scott", etc. he he.
I'm getting ready to head home too. Good luck everyone! Hasta la bye-bye.
The co word is in common usage in Ireland

Hi Sherry! pic of bosco.... I think you lost me
Bosco like in officer Boscorelli...he's cute
Hi y'all... can someone assist with the second co 8/45?
Hi Drum! Sorry, haven't got it yet.
It's the opposite of warmth. Add to co 4/5
Drum co is what you feel when a hot day gets less hot
Thanks Haz!
i am still stuck on the first co8/45... can anyone dumb this one down for me?
Sherry you mean from Third Watch?

Hi EB : ) Cheers.... I believe you ; ) lol
periwinkle: "a partner in giving a lease"
Anj...I didn't want lola to think I was tryin' to muscle in on her man...she was telling others to watch out for me (with you...), when all I meant was that I would pass HER hug along to you... you try to be nice... LOL!
nevermind, read Haz's great clue and got the 2nd co8.
LOL EB : ) She's guarding her turf : ) How are you today??
Peri: like someone put it: co + not more + alternative
periwinkle... i guess my hints are unwanted... :(

Periwinkle: :)
EB, over 3 hours, great film but I question the 12a cert. There are a lot of skulls, pretty weird imagery and far too many large creepy things with waaaaay too many teeth and legs. I know kids are desensitised to all that but there's still a limit somewhere... : /
ok - eb - you said mn right? cooooolllllddddd
Anj...thanks for the review! Not sure when I'll get to see it...I'm always months behind seeing movies!! rennie...ya! minniesooota...
anyone have the sn 5/10...not what you do with coke, and not the contemptuous facial expression...the other one...
sn 5/10 - s plus girl's name 'Little N***'

Ren, this goes way OTT on the dino mangling action. It's quite funny in places as well, but there's about a 30 minute stretch where everytime they get out of one situation, there's another one waiting with slavering jaws and even more fangs : )
yeah, it's always the short words that I end on...
re 5/10 - to observe again
and congrats back to u haz for finishing...
Anj - that's the part where I cover my face...I'm such a chicken!! LOL!!
Well done mcherbalt!
For the re 6's you're looking for, build on the re 5

I saw Pacific Heights back in college...was walking w/ 2 girlfriends when right behind us a guy says "excuse me..." I let out this blood curdling scream... He stammered..."I-I-I just wanted to know if you had the time...." and took off like a shot!! 2500 people on campus...I'd never seen the guy before...every day for a WEEK I saw him... I was MORTIFIED!!! : D

Marc: fr7 is the name of a French pysicist who invented the wave theory of light. There is a kind of lighthouse light that is named for him.
give money - then all you do is sign a card - 8)
Rich: I only have two do's so far: one is the name of a fin on a fish, the other is ones who medicate.
Heading home all, hopefully will be back to finish with a drink in my hand....
Sorry Ren the clue didn't help
Marc Freeman, I found the fr7 using a-z
*does happy dance od doneness* : )
ok shro - i'm still here at the office - 8( me and my grapefruit
Got another do6, Rich: a basket. Think of what a portfolio of information is called, esp. in spy shows. It's a shorter variation of that. Or lengthen your do5.
congrats anj! :D
like ok anj -
Try googling Marc.
...it's a living...
ok - here's my lonely grapefruit
need help with F words, an fe5 and the fe6x2. I have the fe5 that is the plural of fe4/7.
thanks for the help with the do 6's... missing a stupid 4 now! how embarassing

hey hey hey - my boss, who is soooo in the christmas spirit, will surely keep me from finishing.
The le 7s are plurals of le 6s. They are homonyms.
Isn't google wonderful finally got it. Thanks
I only have 3 of the le 6 words :(
may I have a clue for the mo6.
Think of what the teacher teaches. She gives the students a le****
Another pic of me?? : /
periwinkle - pl of someone who just kinda sits around all day and does nothing... kinda like me sometimes at work... hahaha.
kittybat, thanks so much
walnutchen, don't get your clue

Dark chocolate would be nice..;-)
hey art lady! good looking hat! 8)
wow, when do you ladies turn 9?
Thank you, thank you. My students were wearing many different versions of them all last week. Very festive.
evanadine - is that a trick question?
well, my classes are age 6-8...i think you all would stand out a bit ;)
It was a trick question, Ren! Eva!! where's the love?
Sometimes I act like my 3rd graders...would that work?
sounds good to me! hehe
i have the attention span of a 6 yr old - ...or is that add?
And I'm extremely immature all of the time....
anj - you going to join the dance class?
I'm note sure I look good in a tutu : / Can I have pom-poms instead?? : D
The boys wear tights, Anj.. Pom poms would be cool.
Ren, I find that my attention span is getting shorter and shorter, too. I'm also realllyy bad at sitting still. I can identify with a lot of my students!
Ah, Anj in pom poms and tights. There's an image...
artlady seems to be paying attention now!
And the boys have to lift the girls.
Yep, got my attention! (I was gone for a while making dinner, tho...)
Ouch.
wasn't there a movie about men in tights?
(that referred to the boys lifting the girls...at least some of us)
Robin Hood
well unless marc and ish join us - anj is the only boy - maybe we had better lift him
Not the Disney version!
How does that sound to you, Anj?
"We're Men (Butch men), Men in Tights (tight tights!)" One of MG's better moments... : D
It seems fair to share the lifting. By the way, Ishult is sporting the same icon that I have today.
i know mab - you are both beautiful - i had an antique dreidle - then thought i would do the candy stuff this week -(all kosher of course)
I would like to see your dreidel....maybe next week.
Got to go see you later
toodles marc!
Bye Marc. Don't forget the tights for dance class.
later marc ok - mab - let me shed this jelly belly
oooo, rennie - that's pretty!
i have a little dreidle - i make it out of clay - and when it's dry and ready - dreidle i will play!
Oh dreidl, dreidl, dreidl...
thanks - ruff - i have a gold and silver miniature that i wear - i'll take a pix of it tonight
Now that song will be running thru my head, along with visions of Anj in pom poms and tights...
2nd verse - same as the 1st
black or red tights?
Oh Ren, nice icon..I finally refreshed.
Harlequin tights? Black and red diamonds?
thanks artlady - i collect all kind of things - espically dust - i have a pix of the dust bunnies raiding our house
Very nice Ren! (I vote for black tights)
where is our teacher? evandaine?
It is the dust of history in my house...

os is the molecular weight of a solute + its plural
Thanks, Leslieann and aknitter.
co 8/55 ? it is driving me crazy
has to do with the other co's above it...just add ed
why are the easy ones always so hard?
Good question!
Hi again
And a grand Hello to everyone about tonight! Narnia -- when is your last day of school before the holidays?
Hi Grey and Narnia.
Hi Grey! Hi Narnia!
Poo's Mom -- that is a wonderful icon -- my daughter would love it!
Tomorrow is the last day!
He is a popular guy!
Narnia -- I bet you are excited about the holidays, huh?
All done! Narnia, our school got out last Friday, but we go back Jan 3.
Yay for artlady!!
Congrats artlady!
yea! i am sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited! tomorrow is a goof of day. we get to bring books and magazines and other stuff to school and our teacher is bringing coco and muffins
Narnia -- sounds like a great way to start off the holiday vacation -- did you get your teacher a holiday gift?
Poo has a half day tomorrow. She even gets to wear jeans - woohoo!
Evening all, back for as long as the satelite last...
Yes, i got her this candle that has jell in it, and they smell really good!
Hi schroeder!! (*hugs*) Sounds like a great gift, Narnia!
I ma going to change my icon to something more Christmasey later.
Hi GW, how's that little one of yours? *hug*
hey all, can't really chat, drove 14 hours and must get puzzle done AFAP. :) but wanted to say hi and nice to see narnia_fan in her new identity. :)
Thanks for reminding me, Narnia -- time to *refresh* Schro -- she is doing great! I had to buy a little fake Charlie Brown tree today so we could have a Christmas tree in the apartment cos she keeps asking for one :)
Hi Hurshy, 14 hrs. dang I'd be ready for a stiff drink...
sadly, schro, a pastime in which i do not indulge. :)
Wow hurshy -- 14 hours!! -- I'd be headed for the couch or the bath --- not the Babble grid ;)
hello
marigold, are you playing?
Narnia_fan, that looks like a great holiday!!!
Well, it is not very Christmasey, but it will do. I only went on one cruise, and that is Princess criuse line.
Narnia -- it brings back memories of happiness -- that is the most important thing :)
Does anyone have a hint for the pe7/32? Please
finally done! :P
Thats the truth GW I have talked about taking a cruise for years, someday....*dream sequence begins*
Congrats Poo's Mom!
WTG Poo's Mom!! Sorry no Pe's yet
Hi, marigold, I don't have the pe7/32 yet. How are you doing with the game?
sorry marigold -- while I am over half way there I am still missing most of the biggies :)
pe7 builds on the 3rd pe4... a noblewoman
Poo's mom, thanks, found it
May I have a hint for the pl7 please
Poo's Mom -- how about the 2 c8/45s? - I have the 55 :)
GW- the 2nd co8 - state of being the opposite of warm
Thanks, peri
thanks poo's mom. found it.
Peri -Take the co off your first co8/45
GW- yvw - glad I could help schroeder, thank you
pl7 p + "not more" + vowel + consonant
first co 8/45= co+
Poo's Mom, thanks, found the pl/7
Sorry - laptop has a mind of it's own tonight.... just add co to Poo's Mom's clue :)
glad you did Peri! there wasn't a def to google for that one
Thanks for both of those, ladies!
Any clues for the TO 8/40
change the first letter of the z8
or, lacking that to4/4 + le4/4
GW types faster than I do
Thanks GW, sometime I wonder where my eyes are actually looking...
Hey -- it's one of the few that I actually have and I owe people ;D
may I have a clue for the to7 and the so7
if you have a daughter but not sons, then you are so7
if you have no digits on your feet you are to7
to7 take the first letter of the z8 peri
Thanks so much GreyWoulf
thanks marigold
Time for me to say goodnight ~ see you tomorrow!
so7 opposite of daughter + more or --------
Sleep well, PM (*hugs*)
Nite Poo's Mom, sleep well
marigold, thanks - already found the so7
Does anyone have the SE6s? I have se6- to have perceived. I'd be grateful for clues for the other two.
Just got the plural Spanish gentleman. The third?
not yet, mab -- I haven't gotten to the S's :)
Hey everybody. How is everyone tonight?
Give the Spanish gentleman(men) an s.
you inspired me, mab ;) thanks for the gentlemen the last se6 is a device use to percieve at a distance
hey ohro! long time, no chat!! (*hug*)
hi tor!
Fabulous. Thanks grey. Hi torgone.
Heya guys!
I know. It has been a while. I have been working really late recently so that I could take a vacation. How have you been? How is the wife/current kid/ future kid?
We are all fine, thanks -- Son is to be delivered by C-section on Feb 3rd :)
clue for the sm5 please
hey hey - i made it home w/ only a couple of detours - 8)
Hi Tor. : )
Seeing you Torgone reminds me that I should make a cup of coffee to warm up. Thanks!
Hi ren -- why detours?
Happy to spread some warmth!
mab - so tom servo has some purpose
peri -- sm5 -- what you use your nose for
Another word for an odor would be sm5, peri.
nevermind, found the sm5, how come the easy words are so hard to find?
C-section on February 3rd? That is very close to my favourite holiday. I guess you avoided the stigma of having a ground-hog's day baby and all of the inevitable jokes where people ask you if the baby saw its shadow when it was delivered. : ) Good luck with the delivery and all of that. I am sending online wishes for a healthy baby and mother and a non-eventful birth.
mab, thanks, found the sm5 right before I saw your clue
thanks GW
hi wolfie- talking to soemone who's about to leave for a camping trip in west texas, dinner - you know how it is - a 20 minute trip takes 2 hours
lol, ohro -- actually -- the date was determined by the fact that the surgeon will only be at the hospital on Fridays Thank you for your support (*HUG*) Ren -- gotcha ;)
Hey Renfield!!
anyone have a clue for fr7?
GW - I watched my son born caesarean. It's not that bad.
Fr7 = French physicist who supported the wave theory of light
I'm not worried about it, tor -- Kristianna had to be delivered by c-section because she got stuck in the birth canal -- though they didn't let me on the business side of the sheet :)
I watched all my 3 kids being born, including the emergency c-section.
gives you a whole different perspective, doesn't it?
23 words to go. am missing to7/28 & 8/45 also fr7/40 help!?!
I faint at the sight of blood so I will probably pass out when I am delivering my own kids. (...not that I am responsible enough to take care of anything more complicated than a house plant).
Sure does. Not much more intensely joyous than watching a new life come into the world..
Good morning by the way!!
ohro - don't put yourself down that way... when the time is right for you, you will do just fine :)
Hi Ish!! To 7/28 no foot digits
thanks Schroeder.....finally got it
ty
any clues for Mo6 ?
mo5 plural
To 8/45 no to4 before it Fr7 = French physicist who supported the wave theory of light
en 6/27?
missing that Mo5 too Ish.....
Thanks for the optimism GW. I must admit that I am the most absent-minded person in the universe though. Last summer I was on the subway wearing flip-flop shoes. I got out of the subway and walked about 4 blocks before I noticed that I left the shoes on the subway and I was barefoot. Trust me--I would leave the kid in a cab or something and then end up being one of those moms that they show on the news with the bad mean-looking mug shot and messy hair.
someone who mo4's
got Ish thanks!!!!!!!
help with both so6's please
thats mo4/6 add plural for mo5
En+slave/servant
hi my name is kent this is my first time. i'm nine and i have 843 pionts.
ty schro
Stop embarassing all of us old people, Kenth.
That is great for a 9 year old.
Wat to go, kenth!
Hi Kenth, great job!!
Way . . .not "Wat"
Welcome Kenth -- great work!
I can't wait till the next puzzle
Help!! S's are my bane tonight (among other letters) -- can't see the 1st sc7 or either of the so6's
sc7 = think crustacean and change but the second a to an ol
GW- first sc7 is a mollusk usually spelled with a different vowel in the middle
got it
one so6 is what you wear with shoes so*** less the last 2 + another word for guys
got it! now I'm guessing the other 6 builds off the 4 I can't seem to monkey for love nor money :)
Sorry GW can't help with that one...one of my many missing
sc 8/50 something that can be used to clean up the dog mess... 3 words from it
po10??
all I know is that it builds off the po6, tor -- but it still eludes me as well
po 6/21 + no 5/10 (part of your face)
po6/21 + the thing you smell with
po10: what makes you sneeze, plus the thing in the middle of most people's faces.
That's a great clue Kenth.... :)
DO7? If it's based on a 6, I don't have that either.
Finally!
yes, it's the plural of do6/21
BTW -- Hi Une and LOL over the icon :)
hey, GW!
do 6/21 A pannier do 6-21 change last letter do 7/32 plural of above
Love the mustache, Une. May I have clue for the 6 that is the sing. of the 7 please?
Ok, I'm an idiot. I have po6/21 that makes you sneeze. I have the no4/4 that's in the middle of your face. Bash them together and you get a po9 that doesn't work. What am I missing??
plural the 4/4
make the no4 plural and only use one "n" in the middle
Plural Tor.....
took me a bit too, tor, so you are in good company ;)
Thanks Schro . .Thus confirming my idioticalness.
oh, dear, Schroeder, I have those do's but can't make them plural for a 7. What am I doing wrong? They both have double s's en the middle.
Back again, need a clue on the last dr5/12 Thanks
Well guys, much as it pains me to do so I hav eot give up with 22 to go.... I have had way too many late noght srecently and I owe some time to Kirsten -- especially after Sunday! I am going to take the day off tomorrow so I will see everyone on Thursday (*Hugs for everyone*) TTFN
Laterly GW!
Marc: it's something that is left over and useless.
Mab, try to remove one of those and put it at the end Nite GW *hugs*
rhymes with cross.
Night Grey.
thanks Mab
Mab, google To hire a ripper's mare, to see your missing 6's
Thanks Schro!
Help need a clue en6/27
en+slave or servant, all other en follow
I only have one of thse Marc, meaning to make a servant. For that, use your se4 (medieval worker of the land)
Mab plural and tense :)
Thank you so much, Schroeder - I didn't see the past tense. And thank you for the strange horse clue - got that one as well.
No prob, glad to help
Sorry I am very tired could you give me another clue for en I couldn't figure out the en+slave
en + ride a wave (spelt wrong)
Think, Marc, of what people in california do at the beach -- they su4 on the waves. Change the vowel and put en in front.
could someone give me a hint for co8/45?
past tense and plural of chicken co4. Does that help?
No. You want the 'state of being not hot'
co 8/45 opposite of warm + loch ne**
the other, by the way is co4 plus er, and then past tense.
Oh thanks Mab forgot to thank you
not at all marc.
thanks Mab and Schroeder, finally got that simple co
i think i need the one that comes before those. either that or i'm slow.
mab your clue for co45 co+er +past tense is that for the first co8/45 because I got the second co8/45 but I cannot figure out this clue, please help
the second set of co words has to do with barrel making. Use chicken co4. add er and then plural or past tense (ed). Ok? One is the person who makes barrels, the other is something the barrel maker has worked on.
You will have a 6, 7, 8, all based on co4.
the other one ends in an le6/18 word
Got the 6,7,8 I am looking for the clue for the 1st co8/45and the co6/24
Marc - not warmness but co8.
Marc, use nyven clue co +le6/18
got the co8 not looking for the co6
thanks mab, got the maker and the ed
Again, based on co4, opp of warm = co8. Add suffix to make it more co4, add s to that = co6, co7.
marc A small portion of food or a slice, especially of meat
Mab you are still talking about the second co8 the first co8 I got first 4 letters sound like the thing to light up in the bbqs' starting with char***
co6 opp of warmer. co7 opp of warmers. co8 opp of warmness.
co 6/24 take your sc7/36 and remove the first letter
first co8: co plus opp of more, plus 'either/**.
Mab you are still on the 2nd set of co6,7, and 8 The first 4/5 is char*** but spelled wrong then the pl then co8 is the same first four letter and the last for letters mean minus or taking away now i am looking for the next co6/24
Marc - co 6/24 take your sc7/36 and remove the first letter
No Schroeder that is the last co6/24 am I crazy here or are all of you
It's the first one dear....
well... nice day for another puzzle... bring it on!!
Hello everyone!! :) ((((((((XXxTorxXX))))))) )
The last one think tires..
No marc, schroeder's right. the first co6 sounds like 'call up' then opp of warmer then co4 plus er.
2nd co 6/24 One that makes or repairs wooden barrels and tubs
hey schroeder, you guys got snow or rain there?
Hi Lotti! Happy xmas!
lottilottilottilottilottilotti !!!!! What's up, you cute little thing you?
