i however,and more into tea.right now i have this orange pekoe ceylon tea i love.it is dark and strong and is more at home on a large ceramic mug than a fancy tea cup.some days it is so strong that i have to fight it for possesion of the tea spoon

my sister in law graduated nursing at McMaster U here 20 odd years ago.she was wooed by a hospital in texas.they leased them a car,set up an apartment,ordered furiture.all they had to do was show up lol

I only use huge wild shrimp(frozen, unfortunately) and chorizo. I don't botter with other whellfish or chicken -- too much trouble for 3 people
simple to put together, with veggies like celery and nummy as all-get-out
meant to say includes a Grain...
my trick is that I| soak the saffron with some Sazon Goya and anchiote for a day before I make the rice and then I roast the red Pepper in the flame of the stove and wrap it in newspaper for easy peeling

an I saute the rice in olive oïl before I add the liquid so that th grains are separate
I used to do a lot of cooking. Now,not so much
Because I live alone I have to feed and please myself only, so everything is simple and quick--microwaving or heating food.

Nuts, seeds. I try to avoid breads, pasta, potatoes, and other such carbs. No cereal except for occasional oatmeal.

I do the same thing when I am alone now that I am older though -- I tend to not eat much at all unless I am teaching or some one else feeds me. Food just isn't interesting any more.

Grandchildren are a great reason to move, but I don't see any in near future and we are pretty settled here.
Oh, a wedding at Chico would be awesome. Our daughter, son-in-law and grandson (Trent) will be here the end of the month.
Our first grandchild, Trent, is now 14. We didn't get to see him a lot when he was little. Now he is in Michigan, too, and we will get to see both grandchildren a lot more when we move back.

I wasn't a us 4/5 of the list and I was able to do the grid all by myse4/7 today. Now here's a story with a sl4/5 of clues.Once I was a fu6/30 and put bad fu4/8 in my car. My car went about half a mile & then it refu 4/8d to go any further. It was se 4/5-expensive to fix. I had to nu 5/12 my car back to health by towing it to a gas station and taking out the bad gas and putting in new good gas I could have been a su4/5 and made the gas station pay for my troubles, but I didn't. My hubby is being an ar4/4 and wants to ru4/5 my Babble time by taking computer away from me. I can't be a re 7/44 and re 6/30 to give him computer. I'm going to go do something el 4/4 like watch the movie Ra4/4man. I will re5/12 this computer later to enter my last word and give clues. Bye for now!

Others have suggested that to me,but I'm deathly afraid of needles.It took me long enough just to get the nerve to do my allergy shots! Plus, I do not think acupuncture will really work. I'll just continue with my allergy shots.
Well, it won't work if you don't believe in it. Accupuncture needles are very thin, you don't feel them at all.

yes, indeed crossy. at my youngest's school, all students were given ipads this year with the curriculum loaded on it. Their homework is all done via document or pdf and submitted. NO MORE "the dog ate it" "i lost my book" etc

trif.does your child have the dragon program?
if not google dragon naturally speaking.it is a voice to type program and works with office,excell and open office.you train it when you start by reading it a book so it can learn your speech patterns.then as you speak it will type for you.once it is fully trained ,it can do over 150 wpm

it does indeed.....I am thinking now....i did also make some chocolate chip cookies today...wonder if he got into the batter before it was cooked?

the good thing about food poisoning is that is really does pass in 12 hours. The bad part is that it is the LONGEST 12 hours of your life.

neither of us slept well last night, and he has been very stressed out with his new job starting this week. I think maybe he is just over tired, run down...and probs ate too much cookie dough :)
Well, food poisoning can take as long as 12 - 24 hours to manifest. It doesn't really matter though. It's getting through it, like you said.

It's on a small lake 15 miles from Burlington, and completely equipped. Sleeps six comfortably, more, with sleeping bags.

It's three miles out of Hinessburg on Lake Iroquois. Between Hinesburg and Richmond. From Hinesburg it's abt 15 miles into Burlington. It's between Lake Vahmplain and the foothills of the Green Mountains. We've climbec Camels Hiump many times, but ZI can't any more, not enough stamina.

I know about funds cosdem, which is why I don't attend the babble-meets on the east coast even though I wish I could.
My granddaughter from France will be there July 20-27. A friend is staying with me s7-29, U I have a drs apptment in Burlingtin July 31 so I can't leave till the first. A caveat, though--the shower works but we don't use it, because of the poetry wall. We bathe in the lake. And these old cottages have weak septic systems--so we flush when necessary but not just for phantom word ur***. The roof is new and water tank. We can't drink the lake water, have to bring in drinking water. Lake water ok for dishes and non-swallowing use.
I have been promising my friends rob, dave, ben, keri, nick, etc lol id come visit them soo i need to. maybe sept .. i dont want a boring wedding where no one talks to me anway

We just got back (Tom and I) from Seattle where we went to hear the Seattle Symphony play some lovely big band style jazz.... :-D it was a good afternoon!
there's a canoe and maybe I repaired the rowboat last summer--a freak tornado took out my dock and injured the rowboat but I may have fixed it. Good swimming, although I don't know hpow the Eurasian milfoil will be this year. It's usually ok by my place.

nicey nice. it's about 80 here, just got home from work (again). raccoons have started eating puppy chow already, hurrah!
AND we met with the house designer guy to discuss the changes to the houseplans, and I think the house will be "good enough" -- officially there will be two bedrooms and two offices... :-D and we do think we can fit the garage on as well! And TWO skylights in the main living space, and a little deck off the back to ease the transition to the back yard. Now all I have to do is worry about paying for it all. *sigh*

I don't know the Yakama word for raccoon, but around here the Lushootseed word is "buh-loops" (spelled differently but I don't know how to make those characters on a regular keyboard).. I think "buh-loops" (accent on second syllable) is cuter.

they are older than the last set, probably 6 weeks-ish instead of 2 weeks, which means they were drinking out of a bowl right off, i never had to bottle them, which is nice.
Insurance will end up paying off the old mortgage and for demolition; we needed a brand-new construction mortgage to rebuild because our current mortgage holder is cursed....
ah, that is a lot easier, for sure! bottling baby critters is way harder than for humans.

So far so good for my allergies this year! Controlled with meds, I started them a few weeks before needed and so far, that's worked
Oh, and Jes, our little Ben has had a reprieve from his allergies...

Min, do you ever take "holidays" from the allergy medicine? I do, in the summer when I am not in the toxic environment of the schools, and so the meds seem to keep working.

stidmama,I take 3 allergy shots a week. Not sure what is in medication.Medicine is especially made to meet my needs.

I am glad most of my allergies respond well to OTC meds and can be managed without professional attention (except the food allergies, those are so bad the allergist specifically said allergy shots would be too dangerous)

Fortunately, I do not have any food allergies. I have Spring allergies.I'm allergic to anything that is living & not human
I am sorry you have the animal allergy problem -- I have to be careful what animals I am near, but I would be very sad if they ALL made me miserable
Animals are the LEAST of my problems. It is all the dander, flowers, pollen, trees, weeds etc that I am allergic to stid.
I am so tired... I have to go to sleep I think. Min, I am glad that at least you have something that helps, even if it's not perfect. I hope it rains and washes the allergens out of the air for you!
