I was disappointed, as I was in the whole season. Kevin Fallon of The Daily Beast wrote a great review. He referred to Downton as "a shell of the seductively elegant costume soap opera we all became so addicted to four years ago." I agree.
He also referred to Edith as "the Jan Brady of the Crawley sisters" which I think is very funny. : )

Chili pepper and chitpotle pepper flakes, corriander, basil, thyme, oregano, cumin...it's a combination of most of the spices you would use in a Mexican dish.
Soup is like a playground, you can improvise however suits you best.
I hae most of those and can probably improvise the rest. I may even have chipotle flakes, but will have to check

I had 'stepped back when youngest graduated in 05, just took freshman class and a series for seniors,then stepped away for 2 years. The ministry had falled apart with 3 people doing only one year. Came back to rebuild program 6 years ago, just now found a couple who can do it justice.
Good for you, and for the community! The teens are always fun, but on top of a full-time job and parenting, can be too time-consuming.
No kids at home and only working parttime helped as coordinator. But with hubby's Alzheimer's and not being able to get time off at work, I have to step away; priority is family

We have a cat and a parrot. The cat is scared of the parrot's beak since poking her nose between the cage bars. All the bird has to now is shriek and Fia makes a quick getaway. The parrot is a small one, only about 7 inches long, but Fia has a healthy respect for it now.
Dora is much beloved by youngest daughter. But he epitomises all that cat-haters hate. He's snooty, arrogant & non-affectionate, unless he is hungry. And yes, he is a tom-cat called Dora. We were unsure of his gender when we got him, & he was a bit of an explorer, so the name was appropriate.

yes it does. the child is given a unisex name like Jamie and then usually brought up as a girl. When adolescent they are given hormones.The excess bits are removed before they go to school or nursery.

I fell asleep watching almost every episode. It seems like they got new writers who don't have the flair the previous writers did.
And what a shame! The set was amazing, the actors had already proved themselves, it just seemed as if the scriptwriters didn't give a hoot.
Too much emphasis on Rose (boring), the Daisy/Ivy/Alfred story (very boring) and Mary and her suitors (most boring of all).
If you can access 'The Tudors' on Netflix, it's worth watching. Consistently good. And plenty eye candy!
