hi rose!
how's the back, dee?
hi Rose, back home?
home again, home again, jiggedy jig. * sigh*
sore, but I am moving :)
nice dee. praying for continued improvement, dear
I have a sneaking suspicion I will need more injections, but we'll see. How was your trip?
long drive today. and i have found i really need access to a loo if i am to take the magnesium in the afternoon. otherwise i am coasting. we have both caught up on a lot of sleep.
dee, it is more than likely you will need further injections.i didn't want to mention it earlier.
Wonderful to be able to rest well! The loo issue seems to come with the aging territory, too LOL
*giggling* yeah....
That is what I have heard, too, rose. I'd like to avoid doing it until after Christmas; fingers crossed.
we have played mini gulf for three days in a row. i got sunburnt on the first day. now applying aloe vera as much as i can.
ugh....*golf*
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with the kids. LOL... I always get sunburn, even when I am conscientious about sunscreen. LOL LOL... mini golf is pretty fun
again we have seen some very impressive sights and lots of new things.
lots of photos??
i am so pleased your thanksgiving was so wonderful. if i may, i would like to wish all my american friends a belated happy thanksgiving?
ty, rose... one of my favorite holidays
yes dee, lots of pics. we havent unpacked the camera as yet. but once we do, i will certainly be sharing with you all.
nice
what is your weather like now?
we have only been home a few hours. so nice to be home...
so true; great to have a vacation, but wonderful to get home
oh, dee, it has been spot on for all our holiday. brilliant sunshine and a light breeze everyday. except the 3rd night when the wind and rain were very energetic...lol
got drenched, huh?
and tomorrow we are expecting quite high temps with rain. so humidity will be very high and uncomfortable. no, thank goodness, dee. it was overnight and we were very firmly ensconced in our room...lol
we had some really windy days here - blew one of our topiaries off the front porch.. fortunately didn't damage it or the urn
lol lucky
next vacation may/june/july next year. i don't think europe is ready for us, but as they say in the classics....tough....lol
my last 7 was pu 7/52 gross word
3 month trip??? wow!
you are moving into your winter, right?
yep... we have missed some nasty snowstorms, so maybe this will be a mild winter for us :)
dee, it will prolly be our last and only chance. we are going to make the most of it. 2 years down the track, north america and canada...then i can die happy...
amazing plans; I hope all of the details fall together!!
*giggle* then we will just have to survive....i know it's gonna cost a fortune, but we are both agreed that we are not going to skimp.
in 95 when we visited London and Edinburgh, we went with the same idea...
lol. did you see me the other night when i logged in? i was describing the only room i gave don a free rein in booking.
I missed that
bare bulb from the ceiling, no bedside lamps, double bed, no frig or tv in room. toilet along a corridor, 50 feet away, showers at the opposite end of the building. only good thing...the food was incredible.
oh, wow... bet you hated to go to bed, though
ah rose, the way to a man's heart, eh!
AND i didn't whinge once.
pats on the back for that
wow, good for you, rose... my tongue would be bloody :)
lol, flosey...yup!!
i have told him....no more...these are my minimum requirements....and he agreed.
what food did they serve you?
we have been very fortunate. the food in all 3 towns where we st4ed was sooo good.
that is always a nice surprise.
dee, at that place, we both had a mixed grill, chips and salad. and they gave us a JUG of garlic sauce for the meat.
lol... and mints for your breath after the jug lol
well...we both had the garlic...so not too much of a problem for us...lol
that's good :)
Well, I need to get going. Fireworks finally... not a friendly grid to my brain tonight.
and when we arrived at our last stop...we drove to the bowls club. i joined as a social member....for $5/year. we recouped our money on the first meal...and on the next saved $16 plus. plus the food was amazing.
Saving dollars and having great food is a truly great combo :)
hugs til the flip!! Have a great day / eve (((rose))) (((flosey)))
good night Dee, sweet sleep

my dearest darling friends, sprite and lizlin. i am utterly and absolutely stuffed. lower back in spasm, and panting like an oldie with chronic obstructive airways disease. i hope you both are well and happy. see you tomorrow at the flip perhaps.xoxox
good late morning. It is practically lnch time and I've just finished cleaning up the kitchen from big Saturday breakfasy
Could I get a clue for ur5, please?
UR + three vowels
Three different vowels.
Or UR + first two letters of what we breathe + vowel.
thanks zoozzoom
Welcome, Marc.
Can anyone give me a clue for the as6/21?

good morning/evening everyone!
Hi lbd
hiya, sukee
hello again. half this (quiet) AM
hi, ruby
Hi Ruby
hey ruby *hug* How are you doing today? How is Burt?
couldn''t find ur5, even with zzoozz's spoon-fed clue....
hello Sprite. Burt is OK; thanks for asking. How is Ti||?
or even Tim*
Tim is healing up so quickly! He feels good, and looks more or less normal again, just some lingering swelling around the cheekbone and such.
zooz' clue isn't working for me either.
that must be a relief!
yes, am immensely grateful for how it developed. How fragile our lives are!
And he'll stil be handsome!
yeah... a little more rugged, but hey, that is only more appealing, right? :)
:)
ur + first three vowels
transpose the last two letters of zooz cks4
or cl4
great to hear that Burt is ok today. I hope you get to have a bit of peace now.
ty molly
and Hello
hey dawg :) Thanks!
hey Molly
ah of course. Blind moment there. Thanks again.
Hi Sprite and Molly
Hello IBD
good morning everyone:)
{{crossy}}
hi crossy
((ruby))
how is lbd this fine winter day?
hey crossy :) *hug* how are you and Mrs Elegant?
((sprite))
We are both doing well, sprite. No lottery win yet, but I am working on it:)
hehehe :) Ain't we all. Results from the doc in yet?
Heard no word, so I am assuming all was more or less as it should be. hear Breathing tests are later this month and her blood work is on Monday. We just have to come to terms with the aches and pains that come with experience;)
I'm trying not to listen to the wind outside. it's almost blizzard conditions out thee
ennervating, that sound, dawg
Check the booze supplies and make sure you have a few candles and some fig newtons and you will be fine , lbd:)
as Haz once said here, crossy... aging is not for the timid :) Glad to hear no big things amiss.
No news is good news as they say:)
I miss Haz very much.
it's mostly the banging of the wind chimes against the house. the thunking and occassional chime.
scary, ibd, I find windstorms, summer or winter, the most unnerving
Hello babblers
we have the same saying in dutch
Ah, the famous words of Bette Davis...age is not for sissies...
hey Annie :) *hug* How are you?
I love a good storm be it winter or summer. So elemental:)
ya think?
Bette Davis was right
{{annie}}
Hugs back, sprite and hi ((ruby))
I like storms when I am outside. But indoors, the sound can become pretty ennervating. Esp when it lasts for days or weeks.
hi annie! Crossy, plenty of food, lights and liquids stored up. I just wish work would call and say they are closing due to weather...that's not going to happen but I can wish it.
I do't mind rain snow or lightning, just don't like wind. We get nasty piercing winds through this valley
Tell them that you are snowed in and take a personal day:)
hi dawg, the sound of the wind can be stressful. I know. I live near the ocean and the wind here is never ending. Wonderful in the summer and spring. Other times, not!
see you later kids
bye ruby!
tc ((ruby))
bye ruby, enjoy the NYT
bye, ruby
fortunately for us, the wind doesn't usually persist. at least we usually can't hear it. I'll get used to it here shortly and then not notice it until I have to go outside.
I remember last year we had storm for weeks on end. We all were so edgy.
back later, *hugs*
bye sprite, have a peaceful evening
When we lived further north I used to love storms;snowed in for a week at a time and life slowing down. The wood stove going and board games and tons of good books, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and home-made soup simmering in a giant pot on the back part of the stove. Bad part was hauling all thet firewood and cleaning the weight of all that snow off the roof:9
When thing got back to normal, it was almost a disappointment to see the power flicker back on ,thouhg it was nice to get power again for the water pump:)
Finally a grid with an e and an s
good morning, bichon
CHi Annie, crossy
I would probably enjoy snow more if all I had to do was sit around in front of a fire and play games and read books. Alas, that nasty "going to work" thing gets in the way. : D
Hi Molly, Do you drive to work?
Yes I do Annie. My son is fortunate enough to live close enough to walk to work, but I drive.
When I worked I drove to work also. I dreaded the snow then.
I think I've learned to drive in snow better, but it's no fun. Having ABS makes me more confident
Well Bich, ABS is nice. But it doesn't keep the other idiot drivers from plowing into you. They are what I get most concerned about. There are people around here who drive around in snow on almost bald tires.
Yes, there's that
I never tarry at 4-way stops for just that reason. All the snow turns into a sheet of ice from the heat coming from the undercarriage of vehicles waiting at stop signs. they plow right into the back of you:(
be back later
lol@ "going to work thing" what is described there was a situation where it is 30 minutes to a paved road.. If you are snowed in like that, work is out of the question:)
Just finding your care is an adventure:)
car
As I recall, a few days later we hired one of the farmers with his big tractor and the giant blower-auger mounted on fron to blow out the lane
Once it was blown out to the nearest concession road, we were free:)
I am making cranberry sauce - letting it reduce down now - we've friends around for dinner for kind of a fake Thanksgiving (though no stuffing - I forgot. And I'm making roast potatoes, not mash. Oh, and it's a chicken, not a turkey...) So actually just a roast chicken dinner but hey, any excuse :)
lol. Love the way you started with a Thanksgiving dinner and ended up with chicken and taters:)))
make some yorkie puds and you will be covered:)
Well, it's too early to get turkey in the supermarket, and our kitchen (and oven) are tiny and there are only five of us...so *shrug*. Hey, at least there's homemade cranberry and apple sauce
We are stuffing lovers in my clan. I sometimes think we could do without the turkey, but not the stuffing.
I am looking for the ey7 and the 0a7 - can anyone steer me?
ey7...add seeing orb to a word that means "similar to"
gotya - thanks!
The oa is (ha ha) similar to that
And I've got the oa now as well.
Made up words, I'm sure - thanks Molly!
Yes, but think of the words YOU could make up. Having a bad day? This is a very sh7 day. : D
Oops that would be sh8
I like your thinking
Note to self - don't leave glasses on when stirring hot cranberry sauce
For the first time, I made my own cranberry sauce. I zested an orange skin into it and it was very good. I didnt realize it was so easy and so much better than the canned sauce.
Here it comes in jars and is more like a jam than a sauce - mine you can eat on its own it's yummy
happy chicken day, matty
I make my own every year. With Splenda for me and with sugar for everyone els. Just gotta remember to keep on stirring
I love homemade cranberry sauce. I make mine just like Annie does.
Im going to finished washing kitchen floor.
I used cranberries (fresh), apples, golden caster sugar, cinnamon, a bit of nutmeg and a pinch of allspice. I shall be making homemade mulled wine later
There's supposed to be a glut of cranberries this year from Wisconsin.
I've no idea where mine were imported from. I shall look...
I always think of them coming from Cape Cod, but I guessthat's no more
Really? You're going to stomp the grapes and everything? : D
Cranberries can grow anywheree there's a bog
I love lucy
Imported from the USA. Molly, not quite that far, butI use this recipe. http://tiny.cc/noa3px
i am sitting in my recliner in my camper looking out my big picture window at the campground lake...this is thanks
Still a lot of cranberries grown in Cape Cod
what is golden caster sugar Matty, brown sugar?
it's sugar that puts exactly the right actors in a movie to make a big hit
Nope - only partly refined caster sugar (caster sugar is sugar ground a bit more finely than granulated sugar - our granulated sugar is ground more coarsely than American sugar)
powdered sugar?
No, not as fine as that. Similar to American ordinary sugar
If you have ever used super fine sugar, castor sugar is similar (there is that word again)
LOL joseph!
oh good i thought my joke was going to waste
i thought you were adding to my remark lol
Lots of jokes go to waste here
maybe we need to start a save-the-jokes fund
with an ice bucket challenge
Oh please no. The ice bucket challenge needs to go away.
but its for the JOKES, molly!
i just put in pu7 for a joek to o and i cant believe it worked
I have to applaud whoever came up with the ice bucket idea though. Who knew you could convince so many people to look like idiots, dumping a bucket of ice over their heads. And then film it and share it on YouTube.
i believe it was a young fellow in australia
The really funny thing is, the original idea was "donate money OR dump a bucket of ice over your head". Then everyone donated money AND did the ice thing.

You need to train yourself for two of them mlf
RA 4 - R plus all vowels
sitting down for five minutes - chicken rubbed (I can't bugger it - i.e. beer can chicken as I don't have enough room in the oven). Next task, peel potatoes, sweet potatoes and carrots, parboil the potatoes, then mulled wine
Isn't buggering chicken against the law?
Depends on which jurisdiction you're in
ty wv
mulled wine?
Here's a picture of a buggered chicken (totally safe for work) http://tinyurl.com/k2bec65
Yep, I'm making mulled wine
Do you use a chicken camera?

It was all the yolks that drew me in!

Sure thing Mlfan!

Hi Trif
hi trif
I seem to have woken up profoundly stupid today - oh dear. hoping it burns off as a fog does...
are you okay trif?
I guess so - just stupid
stupid why?
cant find a word that is right in front of me, let the dog out and then forget I had done so, thatsort of thing
I think pearil should be a word.. the holidays are dangerous for fruit
Well lovely catching up with you all, gotta go now. Bye xx
tha would be peril
okay i am out of here i may be back going to go eat now
Yes, especially due to all the fruitcakes. (I got the pearil joke)
Bye lindy
heres something fun - someone showed me a photo secondo posted late last night - apparently she got a tattoo. she's still sleeping right now, and I am fighting the urge to go peep at her
Teenage girls generally frown on their mothers peeping at them while they are sleeping
that is the only thing holding me back, molly
Facebook is the end of privacy for young adults everywhere
it was instagram, actually
Ah, I should have been more generic and said photo sharing.
its all good. tattoos are NOT my thing, at all, but it's not my body it's on, so I will smile and be supportive, and that's it. if she was looking for me to have a fit, she will have to look elsewhere
How are you on body piercing trif?
I have two holes in one ear, one hole in another, and that is all I will be getting. What other people do is there business. I don't like the visual of those giant gauge things the young ones put in their ears - those really gross me out
how are you on piercing, ruru?
Morning, everyone! I have two piercings in each ear. The second set came about when my daughter wanted to get hers pierced for the first time but was afraid so I went first to show her it was no big deal.
She and I were supposed to get matching tats but she went ahead without me and I have no desire to get one now...though that may change...one never knows.
If you guys like Bob Seger and have cable with CMT, you should check out the Crossroads show he did with Jason Aldean today (noon my time). It's FABULOUS.
There is no image that I like so much that I want it inked on my body permanently.
that is pretty much how I feel about it, Molly - I change my mind too often
My daughter loves Egyptian history so she got a very tasteful ankh on her hip.
I'd be worried that with time it would change in appearance and turn into something oddly wrinkly.
I really don't understand the tramp stamps, but they seem to be popular in certain circles
see, that to me makes sense, mimi....but I dont have anything like that in my life
Bad enough that I'll get wrinkly...don't need an ugly tat as well!
i think I need a turkey sandwich....
Or worse, a wrinkled tattoo
LOL
Might be amusing seeing the tat change with time, though...
Hey there, zooz1
That was supposed to be a !
Now I'm imagining a nursing home in 50 years with hallways full of wrinkled tattooed people in wheelchairs
that is the future, molly
Hi there, Mimi :-)
Yes...my mind is conjuring a pretty weird image, too, Molly. But, then, that's nothing new!
And just wait until all those breast implants start heading south!!!
Not sure why people get those tongue piercings either.
And kids at the playground talking about "Grandma's tattoo"
That is why I aughed, Mimi. Here a slang word for breasts is tats!
imagine all the lovely ladies, picking up their boobies and squishing them into all sorts of interesting shapes - "see? its a rose! no, look this way!"
and Grandma's lip piercing, good role model
Zooz..I hear those are done as a functional thing regarding sex but can't imagine experiencing the pain of piercing the tongue for ANY reason.
Funny, zooz...language can be tricky!
I can just picture (unfortunately) old women getting their walkers jacked up to help support their gravity-challenged breasts. Not a good visual.
Gotta slap these images outta my head and get to work. Good Saturday and hugs all around.
So Zoom, people don't say "tats" for tattoos in the UK? That's good. I'm not big on any abbreviations, but that is one that I like the least.
I am not sure, Molly.Depends what part of the UK I suppose. Not around here is tattoo referred to as tats.
I've never actually heard of tats meaning anything other than tattoos
In some parts here it is also used for a meaning of potato.
As well as taters.
I've heard of tats and tatties being used in the same way as tits and titties.
oh, that I have heard, though I don't actually know anyone who calls potatoes tats
then again, I can't say that tits are a subject I ever talk about lol
Buggie, do you live near ruby who Babbles.
I think she lives in Anecy
nope, other side of the country
Ruby Who Babbles...sounds like Anne Of Green Gables...
good morning all. I know there is an ey7 and pu7 but I do not see either of them. I only have pu7
actually it is afternoon here but I got up late so it still feels like morning to me
peri -- since you have pu7, substitute the first 3 letters with the organ you see with
are there two PU 7s?
nm - found the second PU 7
I don't get your clue, Erda
but I am looking
Peri, it depends on which pu7 you have. The other pu7 is what the heart does as it beats.
I had the other pu7
Erda's clue means what you see with + a word that means "similar"
that one I found
I need help with the other pu7
pls
The other pu7 follows suit, an oozy substance around an infected wound + same word
ty Molly
missing one 7
oa7...follows along with the others
good morning :-)
ty Molly
Hi Nan
greetings may I pls have a clue for lone I 4th column
il4
tyvm molly
grrrrr I so hate the use of t instead of ed as a pt
did we decide on whether the word CL4 gets a PB pass?
don't think we are worried about calling penalties at all, kap
what a laid back group.
I've never thought of the PB as a "penalty". More of a gentle reminder not to post grid words in the chat. The PB has always been made out to be a fun place.
Didn't say it wasn't fun. Just a custom.
However, a wink is as good as a nod. So posting "could I have a cl4 for the st7" is just as good as posting "clue" in the chat.
Ahhhhhhhhh.
Love the LBJ icon, Kap.
yes, but it has always been called the penalty box where you are "penalized" for posting a word in the chat -- always in fun of course
Like saying " second vowelr, squiggly letter x2, round letter."
A gas station.
Maybe we should start calling it the Time Out Box : D
hello
PB is find.
fine.
since when does the first li 4/5 have a plural form?
grrr - and there is that t being used as pt instead of the ed again --- like fingernails on a blackboard
Oh Nan, "since when" starts a sentence about so many words in these grids.
guess I should head for the pb ;-)
I thought tat was what you do to make lace
with the tiny needles you keep in your et4
right on, ruby
*** important notice ***** there is no room in the building for a TIME OUT box when we already have a PB and the other rooms to deal with.
notice noted
Dr G isn't going to spring for a time out box anyway
we're on our own :D
looking for a soap box, ru?
I'm always on a soap box nan
:D
did I say something?
pu 6/30, please?
I don't have it and don't see it nan
have you listed, ru?
no
I still have 9 to go. p's and s's
pu 6/30 follows the cat sound
I found it
oh - me too - strange word
no def, of course
*gently slides soap box over to Nan*
yes - have been known to climb up on it
<---(shocked look)
it's a summer annual.... looked it up...

congrats!
suppose I should go and get ready for the day -- temp dropped to -12C this am, so feeling really lazy (very cold for this area and not used to it!)
on a more positive note -- the grapes are being picked and the ice wine underway :-)
can someone help with that pu 6/30 please?

i have seven sets....got most of them in Russia...
they should bench RG 3 for the game tomorrow
rg3 needs to get his head together...
ruru they need to replace him
pen can you post a pic of them?
ur 5 help please?
he needs to put work into his craft.. he's got great physical gifts.. but that alone won't do it in the NFL
hmmm....i will think on that, mlf...
I wish Cousins was Healthy
ruru he needs confidence and more time to practice
pen :)
no.. he needs to tone down his ego and work on his fundamentals like every other player does
his footwork is horrible
ruru i like him too and i actually do like thei back up as well though i know he isnt that good. That game wont be airing here tomorrow unfortunately
ruru yes his head is too big
He's the new Ryan Leaf if he doesn't actually put work in and get better
rg needs to go to another team let his backup get better at playing
he might need to.. I think Gruden is done with him
The problem is that Washington gave up the farm to get him
i juswt hope gruden doesnt get fired or leaves if something is done with/about rg3
ur 6 help please?
he's a pretty good coach. There is some great talent there.. they have a really good defense.. they should be winning

exatly what i thought too ruru but its not happening.. yet
ty
*Checks pulse, observes which way the world is spinning...carries on...*
*puts sedative on molly's side table*
you have to agree on RG3 don't you?
amen...
i am done... :oD
*whispers... nice job penquis*
howdy kiddoes

penquis
hi jes!
cute pup, ruru
*Stunned* Tries to think about Robert Griffin III*
thanks .. he is
i've alwasys been fond of goldies
me too. I'm partial to goldens, Labs, German Shepards as a rule
ty!
big but not too big?
I also like Australian Shepards, Pugs, and King Charles Cavaliers for the smaller dogs
Big but not too big describes me well
:D
heh. and your tastes too, apparently
I love the looks of Great Danes.. but could never had a dog that passes that young.. too heartbreaking
Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today?
HI minver
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! Way to go!
Hope you had a nice holiday minver
hi min...fine here, thanks...
yeah, but they're a lot of dog for the time you've got 'em.
same argument could be made against keeping rodents as pets; gone too soon.
My neighbors have some beautiful greyhounds that were rescues.. they're really beautiful dogs
Hello rururocks!I had a great Thanksgiving in Connecticut.
I would never have a rodent as a pet.. there are too many I associate with in the wine biz as it is :D
oh.. nice minver
116 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels got rescued from puppy mill in Alabama last week.I'm so glad they all got rescued.
did you have to travel far to get to your Thanksgiving dinner, min?
I wish the AKC would get really involved in closing down puppy mills.. it is deplorable
My sister-in-law lives about 25 minutes from me,so not too far. It was nice not to have to travel far.I hope you all had an awesome Thanksgiving with your families this year.
I did.. I had a fantastic day with my Brother's family
I so agree with you rururocks!I do not see how they can be legal. Saw an article about this puppy mill and it made me sick to my stomach! I don't understand mentality of some!
my holiday dinner was great....only 1.5 hours of travel (strategically planned to avoid the storm)....the boys each made a pie....all were yummy!
This is the article I read: http://michigancavaliers.com/Blog/dog\ncare,cavaliers/terri-easterbrooks-crue\nlty
Darn it! I messed up the chat log.Sorry about that everyone!
When we had a litter of pups.. we had some potential homes where the people had previously gotten a pup from a puppy mill. just horrible stories
these puppy mill owners should see jail time.. in small cages
I sent some wine back for the holiday for my friends in Long Island and UPS didn't deliver in time.. they got the wine Friday instead
Puppies were auctioned off. I hope the puppy mill owner did not make money off of auction to enable her to continue her so-called business.
You should ask for you money back from UPS rururocks. That is not right
I am sure your friends will still enjoy their wine though. It's the thought that counts.
I'm not in favor of auctioning off puppies.. not the way to place them in good homes.
Well supposedly, a Cavalier rescue group bought all the puppies at the auction. They got money from donations around the country.
that's good news. I hope the puppies are healthy.. generally from Puppy mills they are not
I did not donate because I was afraid money would go back to the owner of the puppy mill. However, I found out later it did not happen.
If you see an add in the paper for AKC Puppies 10 out of 10 times it is a puppy mill
Now I wish I HAD donated, but you never really know where your money is going when you make donations like that.
you can always donate to the rescue directly
you can donate to the Cavalier group if you want minver
You can donate wine to me if you want Ru...
Min, remember to use tinyurl.com
ah.. wish I could soodle
I can't ship vino out of the country apparently with the licenses I have
Sorry, no wine in November. Dry month and all that.
how was your wine molly?
:-) the horror that is November is drawing to a close :-)
how much hassle to get the appropriate licenses?
Sorry, no sympathy.
Self-imposed horror.
The end is nigh...
Never opened the wine I bought. Saving it for Christmas.
they are fairly costly jes
oh.. maybe with some crab then
I got a bottle of aged calvados for Xmas .. showed up yesterday
just in time for winter
No, it will just go home with one of my kids. Need to get something red to go with beef tenderloin.
Yes, I got an email asking for donation to the rescue group, but I didn't know if the rescue group would then spend money at auction given by this puppy mill owner. Once again, this lady did not get a dime of it.
oh..that's easy
I guess it is No Wine November along with No Shave November?
that should fix it
I do not know how to post link using tinyurl MollyL. I am so sorry about that! Thank you rururocks for fixing the chog!
Lol Min. I abstain from alcohol in November. I find it alarmingly difficult!
Guess I should have been the one to do that since I messed up the chog.Must remember to NOT post links in the chog.
god if there ever is a month to drink it is November and December
it's okay minver.. happens all the time
Maybe the best time to not drink any alcohol is during lent
Well, if Dr. God would fix the chat log, then you could post regular links here. But since they don't work, and blow the chat log, tiny url is better. All you have to do is go to tinyurl.com and paste and convert your link.
Well done Soodle. I tried for sober October - lasted 3 days
I like to get bent on lent
Ooh. I'll make up for it in December, Ru, secure in the knowledge that if I can forego it for a month, I'm not alcohol dependant.
Oh wow, that sounds easy MollyL. Will remember that one.
(nods head)
La la la *sings about delusional thinking*
That is a great one - Sober October. I love it!
We were in a noisy hotel so had a brandy to aid sleep :)
Hi Chrissie :-)
followed by can't remember december
lol
Hello ChrissieDee! How are you doing? Welcome to the log
Hi all
gm chrissie
How are the folks in China, Chrissie?
Hi, my name is Soodle and I'm not alcohol dependent. I go for a whole month without alcohol. Let us not discuss the other months. Keep coming back and it works if you work it.
*watches soodles first twelve steps*
Good thanks Soodle. We're having lots of face time.
Soodle sings "The Twelve Steps Of Christmas" on December first.
Good, Chrissie. Note to self. .. Avoid alcohol related conversations November 22015
Ay least you didn't do Movember Soodle, lol
Note to self: If you live as long as 22015, remember to chat about drinking tea and saintly behavior.
gives a new meaning to the New Centurions
tries to imagine soodle at a thousand years old
She will be sober, one month of the year.
Maybe 1,050
You see? Alcohol withdrawal made my hand shake. God above, will this wretched month ever be over?
I could use a sober month myself :D
*Closes the bar in the PB*
what about the time out room.. is there a bar in there?
I'd say we could all meet at coffee shops, but we know how that goes.
HA...lol
It's self mortification Ru. If your not Catholic, don't bother. Seriously.
Ya gotta find them first LOL
I am soooo far from Catholic.. soodle.. I don't even know where to start
Firewords!
Once I got one of the last three 7s, the rest fell right into place. :)
Well done, redshoes!
Don't want to start World War 3 about religion, but I don't think God is interested in self-mortification. Not if you believe in a loving God anyway.
I am often mortified around here but i am guessing that is nit the same thing
Not
Nothing at all to do with God Molls. Just a gesture by me that I can forego stuff I am fond of. (Wine!). The only possible losers are the wine retailers, and they know that normal business will resume in December. No harm to anybody.
Well i am abstaining from sex...
That's fine Soodle. I have just never understood the Catholic thing about giving up what you like (LENT). To me that is not what faith is about.
WOMEN OF CALIFORNIA.. I FEEL YOUR PAIN
Ha lololol
Back to happy, superfluous chat...
Hey. It matters not a whit to God or Dog or whoever the Supreme being is
That a housewife in Co. Meath drinks no wine in November.
Then why say "it's a Catholic thing"?
I feel better for it!
Traditionally, catholics gave up stuff for Lent & for November. Its ingrained.
Omg! I seem to have got the last word! I'll scuttle off to bed now before anybody else challenges me. Smugly poofing!!
Well, I wasn't trying to be a pain in the ass. I just don't understand people who link "self-mortification" to religion. It sounds too Opus Dei to me.
And I was a practicing Catholic for a long time and never heard anything about giving up stuff in November.
neither have i....it's not Lent...
Oh well, sorry this turned into a "last word" thing. I was hoping to get some clarity on it.
perhaps it's an irish thing...never heard of that in my 12 years of Catholic school....
I just wonder how many points superfluous would be
isn't lent around easter?
144 pts
yes, ru....leads up to easter...
hi all, and i was not reaised catholicm butm, yeah, lent is the season just before easter, and it lasts 6 weeks or 40 days
mardi gras is basically loading up before lent and ash wednesday starts lent
Thanks Book Doctor. Being raised Catholic, I know about when Lent is. I think Pen does too. : D
8-D
Oh never mind, I missed Ru's question. Carry on.
of course, if you *want* to give something up, you can do it whenever, you sure don't have to wait for lent or anything
i recently gave up buying any brand owned by he Kock brothers
Koch brothers?
yeah, those guys
what did they do?
they own a lot of brands, you might be surprised. holy cow, you don't know about the Kock brothers?
not really.. just in passing through the news. I don't know much about them either way
never heard of them...
there's a good short overview here: http://tinyurl.com/mjeafac
hi all. any 7 letter words?
Ru, you need to bone up on liberal postulation.
i need the A, top row, middle tile for nbt
as 6
well... anything related to the John Birch society isn't something I'd support either
mkg- i have three do you need clues or stats?
both clues and stats please. ty.
our corrupt supreme court ruled that private money can be used, unlimited and unsourced, in campaigns. this is undemocratic. Kock brothers are spending a good deal of the dirty money that is killing our democracy
ty penquis, hunting
yw..
what brands do they own?
ey7/52-what you see with+similar to ending
pu7/36-****e(what your heart does+past tense of eat
pu7/52-yellow stuff on an infection+similar to ending
ty got it.
last one is oa7/44 dont have it yet
tote
sorry/
never mind .. I looked them up
sorry trying to get sevens
I have been buying three of them. I'll switch to other products
oa7/44 is ***meal(breakfast food)+similar to ending
i dont get the clue "ending"...........sorry
its a suffix meaning similar to
i was referring to the ending of the word
ok got the ey and oa. both end with same 4 letter word. opposite of to hate is to love. but if you dont quite love someone you still can **** them. to **** a lot is to love.
got all the 7s. three end with same 4 letter word.
yup
finally found a website with a list of some of their brands: Dixie, Georgia-Pacific, Stainmaster Carpet, Angel Soft, Quilted Northern, Browny, Softn Gentle, Harmon Recycling, Zee, American Greetings, Vanity Fair, Sparkle, Mardi Gras, Lycra, Invista, Molex, Flint Hills Resources, Koch Petroleum Group, Koch Pipeline, Koch Fertilizer, Koch Minerals, Matador Cattle Company, Koch Industries, Koch Optics, Oplink Communications, Flint Group
and here's a link to a lefty site with more info: http://tinyurl.com/mvuzemj
we need to say that money for campaigns is limited to X dollars and that is all period. and stop this crap.
sorry.
yes.. I saw them bdg.. thanks for the info.
money rules in our nation and it is horrible.
I am anti-tea party
agree, mkg. it's the only sensible thing
all is based on money here. all. every aspect of life.
any U word clues?????? dont have either of them
ut4, sounds like a US state plural
these guys own som many companies they make a gazillion dollars every minute
the other one is u25/12
ty gwen got it.
the rick rule america and i hate that.
how about the I word? any clues?
yes.. I have heard of them.. but didn't know they were that extreme. I knew they supported the Republican party and all that
sry ur5/15
5/12 keep making mistakes today
never mind, got the i word.
tea part is the ultra right of the republican party. at this point i think the republicans are afraid of them.
we don't know how much they are giving to the Reps because these new laws allow secret giving
i'm still not finding the as6. can someone clue the point value ONLY ??
bright at .. or competent at as6
sorry
as 6/21
got the as6, thanks, not feeling very as6 right now 8- )
okay, so, nbt with 70 to go
21
bunch of bullies and crybabies if you ask me (the righties, i mean)
I'll give you bullies, but crybabies? I see that on both sides.
the dems have never shut down the gubmint just to get what they want. that's the way bullies and crybabies behave
Well, I will quit while I'm ahead. This would be a pointless conversation.
can someone clue the as6?
as6/21, rhymes with what you have at the bottom of your leg (sort of)
as + one who is given individual instructional help minus the last letter...
need to come back later with a clear head. just not getting it…
as + rhymes with noise a horn makes...
Here is the laugh of the day...someone on eBay thinks they can get $4,500 for a Precious Moments figurine. Ahahahahahaha!!!!
as6 also rhymes with an lu4 (musical instrument)
how did i not get that earlier?
got it ty
sounds like a Mega Lister!
a figurine full of coke, maybe...
nbs/nbt
oh, good, nik, i was running out of ideas for clues LOL
a few weeks ago someone bought a picture of an iPhone for around 200 dollars
on ebay
i have a freidn who started a facebook page to post outrageous offerings of used books, but i have no problem posting a precious moments there . . .
(the facebook page is called "Most Unwanted Megalisters")
now to hunt down the outrageous precious moments . . .
hmmm, i found a lot of 350 precious moments for $4500 . . .
Something I got in email. I didn't actually go to eBay to look for it.
maybe it's already been taken down
Molly is a closet precious moments collector.
puerile is my new phantom
