Christine - I think this is a misunderstanding. I know that there has always been some light hearted sharing of clues around here (from what I've seen in the last couple of weeks), but it was always done in good fun and never got out of hand. Someone recently shared their babble addiction with our Ovuland online community, though, and there was an influx of new members yesterday and some all out cheating going on. Parker's message was in answer to this rampant sharing of words. I think you're part of the old guard, though, and not a member of our online community.

Saozinha-Darlin' ... I loved reading your novelette. I agree with what you say about not sharing word lists - I do this for fun, but I like to see how my points stack-up against other players. Anceps gives clues to how many words/the highest-score word, and it gives me something to hunt. I really don't want the word, but I enjoy decoding someone's clue. I do think using the dictionary or the wordsearch thingy (the technical term) could be 'cheating', but hey, different strokes....

I'm new at this. Wehre do you find out how many are possible and how many of each number there are?
usually anceps tell us. i was curious after finishing, the first time i ever played, and googled for a solver. (someone had announced her high cheated score - i figured it was ok to stop, be honest, and see what i'd missed - much like tonight.) this one only gave the number of words poss. - i counted the amount poss. for each one. don't think anceps has to do that. it's not worth looking into unless you're honest and don't play after looking, but is interesting for the fact that, wow! i didn't quite get that, or why didn't i see that, and how could i've missed that [obvious] combo, etc. etc. ok, g'night really now. :)

anceps is just the username of someone on the board. I think he wrote his own program to solve the game.
