Most hospitals now have 'self administered" pain medication.
Well, with my mom anyway, she feels the pain and then immediately forgets it.

If they are septic (infection in the blood) or the infection is in the kidney and they are quite ill. If the UTI is just cystitis then no, that is managed easily as an outpatient.

Moving forward is good. Rape cases are some of the most difficult to win in jury trials, but of the numerous felonies he committed that night, attempted rape has the longest sentencing and he'd have to be on the sex offender list for the rest of his life.

I actually thought I saw him a couple of months ago at a restaurant/bar and I was a mess until the bouncer finally asked him for ID again. Then I saw his future sister-in-law (when we dated, he was living with his brother and her) a few weeks ago and she started talking to me and I completely lost it. She was trying to be nice, but she's pretty dense when it comes to realizing things like...hey, you shouldn't send me a Facebook friend request and start talking to me when I didnt' even notice her...and then continue talking to me even though I start trembling and crying...and, her telling me she has nothing to do with what happened and is completely apart from the situation...while she's having his brother's baby and put up some of the money for bail.

It may sound cheesy-church-y, but there are a LOT of things that should have fallen out from underneath me in all of this, but I've gotten so much support. For the past two years, my landlady has been flexible with me, letting me rack up a tab instead of evicting me. Even after the break in.
If I need food, friends let me grocery shop in their pantries. I gained weight and they gave me clothes. I stayed on one friend's couch for about a month at one point.
*confession...most of that is one friend, but I know others would do it too. :)
