Thank you rickety!
that's a word? what the what?
nbt nbs and halfway! see you tomorrow :)
g'night, harry :)
hi all and thanks Lickety
That tr5 is short trousers in a dialect spoken in Ayrshire. Compliments to Google and Wikipedia.
hello everyone
A word comparaable to all those small value coins in tiny countries.
hi Nan
Of course, I have just proved that I can't spell!
thanks helen :)
this is going to be tough
I think so, Nan
i have 36 left and not a single 6
ra 6
oh yay tx nan first 6 :)
its the only one I have
and stil have a bunch of blanks
Same here - and that's thanks to you, Nan.
Not the blanks! The ra 6 :)

ro6
just found it, fishing for 6's, lol
sa 6 - also found in the same way.
ba 5 and 6
not seeing them
ah, now have 2 ra6 (one is an ra5 and pl), one from the other ra
ba6 is an animal that lives in a sett
For the sa 6 - go straight down and think droopy misspelt!
Thanks for the ba 5 and 6
darn -- it is a clay pot that you place greenware inside for firing - should have had that one!
I just looked up the meaning!
I'm off to bed, too tired tonight, bb tomorrow
the ro6 ends with the high school marching musical folks
goodnight all
ca 5 & 6 same as ba 5 & 6
Thanks - tried loads of other combinations but not that one :(
Sleep well, Flosey.
night, flosey.
Thanks for the ro 6
guess I need to find that ba 5-6
FWs
Congrats, Diz
yay, diz!
Taking a break - BBL
ah - foud them
*found
a few of the more sensible words here, it seems to me, lol
or perhaps I mean more normal ones?
sure are a lot of oddballs
aha, just spotted a ca5 and ca6 (choklit substitute)
ty rbud
only 2 6's left... but 39 words... hmmm...
good one rbud
need 3 6's - no idea which ones I'm missing
do you have 2 ra6?
no - just the one fron the top r
6's are ba, ca, ca, en, ra, ra, ro, sa, ta
the bottom one is a combo of two three-letter words that rhyme
ty, rose
if you reverse the order of the two words which make ra6 you have ta6
nooo, you're kidding, lol! but I see it's true, wow. funny!
never heard that one before
*giggle*
so I only need the en6 to finish the 6's, hmmm....
en6/33
got it! ty
yay rbud, well done..
can't even see 2 words to make either other than rag and cat and that doesn't work
nan, the words rhyme. you have the first one
ty rose
6's done
means shabby - "a ra6 bunch of street urchins", maybe
yay nan, well done you
good on ya! :D
yay, S's all done
good going rbud
hi! my instrument is in the grid (: ð„¢
yes melon, so it is. *grin*
upright and/or electric, melon, and tuned in 4ths or 5ths?
upright, 4ths. 1867 Gemünder. Sold a year and a half ago to an up-and-coming young player. Paid for the Steinway I had bought a year earlier.
*!* ta da *!* - thanks for the help
congrats, nan
yay, nan!
WTG CYBERNAN!!!
and how wonderful all around, melon :)
ty and good night everyone
It worked out. I can't play as well as I used to, and someone who knew my instrument had a student who was ready for a good instrument. It went to a good home. To "own" an old, fine instrument is to be aware that you are really just borrowing it.
'nite cybernan
i had my 1967 violin rebuilt a couple years ago. It sounds amazing. The soundposts had rotted.
Yikes. My brother is a luthier. His basses have won prizes at both the ISB and VSA makers competitions.
very nice!
my violin has a very thick bridge. The first one that hasn't warped under the high-tension strings i use. :)
i have to use viola mutes, and even some of those don't fit. :)
Where was your violin made?
Bavaria
ah! found a ceramics term, too. My pastime.
purchased in Washington, DC. I'm the 2nd owner.
Mittenwald?
no. frankly, i'd need to go look. I'm a bit overtired and might should sleep :)
new bow is on my list for next year.
a new bow should resinate with you :D
or rosinate :D
Mittenwald is the Bavarian city most associated with violinmaking. Scherl & Roth in Cleveland imported from there.
Ah! Ruru! Take a bow!
I should have legato it alone
there's a Legato Rd and a Legato School near me. The area once known as Legato, VA is now postally Fairfax, but commonly called Fair Oaks or Pender.
I used to play violin as a kid
couple years ago, 175 former students gathered to perform at the local HS orchestra director's retirement concert.
that's nice dc
I bet that was something
I wonder if they all went out for pizzicato afterwards :D
i rarely eat pizza out since i can't have barley nor barley malt anymore.
sorry dc.. that was a joked I plucked out of the air :D
holy crap.the floors are maple. the 4mo old kitten and the 4 year old cat are playing on a wing chair, which the somehow just moved about 40cm across the floor.
joke
:) And i appreciate it and your sense of humor
i miss donuts.
and cake.
oh cake
happily, i was never a fan of bagels.
there is barley in all those?
i can make cake w/ouc barley malt. Swan's Down has none in it. :)
barley malt at 0.5-2% of total flour volume, almost always. Bagels always.
the only thing i can eat at panera that has flour are the chocolate chip cookies.
for example.
i can only eat the italian bread at Subway.
gluten-free is sometimes a good option. Which is sad, as a gluten-free diet makes me sick.
whole wheat is safe
so just that one grain? I remember making triticale bread back in my noble hippie vegetarian days in college, is that flour still around?
yes. so no barley, barley malt, malted barley flour, nor unspecified malt for me. Nor beer nor Scotch.
American whiskey and bourbon are safe -- corn and wheat. :)
hooray for that. I'm fond of those.
yes, triticale is stall around. teff, oats, wheat. Some harder to find or more expensive than others.
Bob's Red Mill does a lot of specialty flours and is very, very careful about cross-contamination. I use their potato starch.
oh, that pa5.16 was unexpected.
I have two of those, with two diff. vowel endings
oh, thanks! i didn't expect that one either :)
irritated that I've only found one D after all this time, lol
i have a da4 and plural
and a da4
ah, fishy, silly me, ty!
the bizarre monkeying I've done for that, sigh, and it turned out to be a plain old normal word, hahaha!
that happens to me a lot. Especially with the io4/5 in the grid today. I oft miss that entirely
an new i needs must sleep. g'night/day and happy babbling, yall!
night, seain, sleep well. :)
good morning all
{{hugs}} and good morning my dear friend
*hugs rose* Good evening my darling, how was your weekend?
quiet. pain settling with the TENS. how is your weekend progressing. sorry i missed you last flip.
all good here, I am doing almost nothing, am feeling the reaction to the crazy week(s) and need to rest.
good for you sprite
slightly disappointing, to realise that I cannot handle a schedule with something every day. I really need downtime in between. But I managed and that is what counts, right?
glad the pain is settling now.
just managing is not alright. i have had to acknowledge i cannot handle busy weeks. i plan all my appointments so i don't overdo it.
please be more careful sweetie.
dinner nearly ready. xoxox i'll pop back in when i have finished.
that is what I usually do. The madness started with my mentor who plans all her sessions within one week. With the demands of my family and the flu and the singing performance, it was more or less out of my hands.
oh yeah. the singing...did you cope okay?
yeah it went pretty good. My voice refused only one time, and the people in the audience either didn't hear or didn't care. Everybody became so quiet during my song :) No talking at all.
i bet that was because they were rapt with it. how wonderful.
yeah my husband told me. It quieted down as soon as I started singing. Might be because I sang a song in dutch, so they could understand it more easily than all the english songs, making it more worth their while to listen.
lovely sprite. good choice.
*grins* I was happy with the results. Lots of nice compliments too. Goes to show that even if your voice isn't 100%, you can still perform.
dinner here. bbs. xoxox
enjoy darling
brb, need breakfast
enjoy my darling
hehehe brought it with me. Back!
took a bit longer than planned... halfway cleaning a mango I discovered it was rotten on the inside.
so now it is dark rye bread with cheese

hello...
hi...making breakfast. bbl
just ate a piece of pear pie and some vanilla yogurt for breakfast....
french toast and sausage
sounds yummy....
pen that sounds so good
my husband just went to get us some food
nice...
i bought the piece of pear pie yesterday....don't think i have ever had pear pie...that's why i bought it...
pen I have never heard of pear pie but you would think if they make peach then why not make pear?
exactly...
i was thinking about fruit a few days ago in connection with tea.
i have seen a few pear desserts at restaurants this fall....
i mean pear tea hot or cold sounds good to me
apples are usually in season for the fall
true...Maine grows a lot of apples....
when they are in season all the grocery stores have them front and center here
here, too.... lots of varieties...
exctlyP:)
i also wonder why they don't make a pear tea? i mean i know people can make it at home but why not sell it as well?
sorry meant exactly:)
interesting thought...
google pear tea -- lots of results :-)
i think i would prefer pear pie with tea.... ;o)
une in bottles or making it yourself?
with pear tea pen?:)
when i lived in france, pear tarts were a regular in the bakeries -- yum!
that sounds so good too une
looks like the pear tea that's advertised is looseleaf "infused with pear"
hmm
Snapple hasn't come out with a pear tea yet which i find odd
well, there's this . . . Snapple Asian Pear Green Tea
yes green tea always has an extra flavor with it as the green tea itself is sour
aaahhh
brb . . .
Hello kids.
hi scrab
We've got snow, with more on the way.
send it here scrab...
I am drinking green tea--sweetened with stevia.
none here yet...
Oh, there goes the snowplow. First one of the year.
Hi penquis.
isn't that a joy to see scrab?:)
EN6?
I heard the truck first then looked out the window.
And here it comes down the other side of the road...grrrrr.
is that so your driveway will be blocked off or any parking spaces?
There's not that much snow to block my driveway. That is always aggravating.
the plow will be on your side the more snow you get right?
The town plow goes on both sides of the road. But I also hire a snow plower for my own driveway. $350 for the season.
that's good you ever an extra one. what about sa4/5 like the gritty stuff they have on beaches?lol
That's what the town plow throws on the roads out here in the country. No salt out here.
ba 5/20, pls
is that better or worse out on those country roads?
In the spring we need to rake the sa4 and grit out of our lawns and brush our driveways.
bichon what a scout might get for a good deed or completing tasks?
I shall search with you, bichon.
scrab that doesn't sound like fun
or a sheriff's ba***

scrabbbler: did you watch it with the sound on?
I watched both--they are identical. I am not a huge Adele fan but will listen to her songs on the radio because her voice is so powerful.
I love Adele's sense of humor.
she is a lovely person
Seems so.
Hilarious prank--quite an act of tomfoolery, if I do say so.
And you're an expert!
We finished our final 2 photo shoots yesterday!
Yay!!
for your practice?
A calendar that we make.
That was shown here in the UK a couple of nights ago Called Adele at the BBC with chat host Graham Norton. It was an excellent TV show!
I was amazed at how quickly they twigged.
Well it was her unique voice that gave her away :-)
instantly
I like how she was nervous and didn't sing when she was supposed to.
A great job.

I think Buffalo just got its first Sonic.
I don't know the ra6 that was clued a little more help please?
it's in two halves and the halves rhyme with each other
Scrab its a fun place..do they have outdoor space to eat at?
the 2 syllables rhyme--the second is what you find on a clothing item in a store, it shows the price of the item
I don't know, I read that it opened, but I don't know about Sonic. I avoid restaurants due to noise.
got it
Sonic doesn't have any explosions
EN6 please?
en + gift**** a package
thank you une
I have hyperacusis--I cannot tolerate ordinary noise. Since my concussion 20 months ago. So I tolerate work because I have to, but I am beginning sound therapy so I can maybe go to restaurants again.

TY, Une. I have been looking for en6 for a long time.

Husband is watching the Jets and threatening to take xanax. lol
greorio?
gregorio, even
oh.. he should have taken thorazine at the beginning of the season
lolol right!
It's only 10-3, the Jets are not out of that game. I don't think it's time for Xanax.
it could be worse.. he could be a 49er fan like me
the dysfunctional mess of a once great franchise at the hands of incompetent owners
Molly, he says he is taking it in anticipation.
Ruru, true.
can't get into babble on my PC Rose thinks it's a server problem. Hoz do I change servers?I
Hi Ruby
hi hego
this is so small, I can barely see it
You have to disconnect from whoever you pay for internet service and reconnect with another provider. But I doubt it is a server problem.
What could it be;, Dr Molly?
what browser do you use?
Why does this one work?
What Hego said. Change browsers. If you are on Internet Explorer or the new one that Windows 10 give (Edge?) switch to Google Chrome.
agree
I'm just getting used to windows 7.. no way I'm switching to 10
me neither
I keep getting the "free" 10 pop up on the computer
But Aloy switched and likes it.
yeah.. well.. ALoy lives in Florida too
I have no idea why people jump on a new version of Windows before all the kinks get worked out. Unless they have a new machine where there is no option.
The laptop has Windows 10. My friend is coming in the AM and she can probably do that for me
I'm of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it " nschool of thought.
me too hego
No option with this silly little machine
Ruby, all you have to do is search for Google Chrome and download it. Then quit using that new Microsoft browser.
It's easy.
As much as I detest Microsoft browsers, I'm finding it hard to believe that entering "playbabble.com" will not load up Babble.
very odd
Hi ruby, how goes it
I'which It's strange because it came right up on the laptop but on the PC I,ve always used, nada
pe 5/16, pls
take your writing implement and leave this place
ty dan
yw
Excellent clue, 2Bit
thanks dan
Ruby, sorry, but that doesn't make any sense. Babble comes up on the new laptop, but not on the PC you have always played Babble on?
I know, Molly, that's why I'm banging my head into the wall
But if you have a new laptop, what does it matter
Yeah Bich, that is what I was thinking. I'm not sure I understand this.
hello friends
Everything is too small on the laptop so I can only use it in very bright light
Hopefully my savvy friend will fix me up
Just needed this babble fix
I'll send Bich offshoot. He works for Google and I'm sure he'd like to visit France
Hey Trif!
hello!
Does anything work on the PC? Perhaps your savvy friend (maybe not so savvy) hooked up the laptop and disconnected the PC.
that's a great picture, trif
how handy to have such an offshoot, bichon!!!
thanks jes - I didn't take it.....clip art
no, Yahoo works so I can get and receive mail
yes, and whenever we go to visit them in Google, I always come with my computer problems
