jemper - what's a verrrry common word in xword puzzles? Then pluralize it (is that a real word?), then minimize it, then pluralize it, again.... whew - it's exhausting work, but worth about 80 points.
Sounds like a great clue! Unfortunately, that's not going to help me. I avoid xword puzzles like the plague...may have to ask my SIL (who's a xword afficianado).
Well, I got a fish word. But it's more polish than piscine...
If I got a point for each time the puzzle tells me "that wasn't a valid word" I think I would be over the top with points today :P

So there's no 'j'? I figured that for a 75-point 8, there must be 15 points in the word. So either it has the J for 8 points, plus 7 1-point letters, or else it has both Cs (3 pts each), one of the 4s (H or W), and five 1-point letters. I can't see any other way...
Very nice! Looks like Bulldog found 3 7's, but I'm guessing this combo wasn't one of them since he only listed 1 8-lttr. So, I'm thinking at least 4 7's & 2 8's...

I knew I shouldn't've started this bloomin' puzzle.... I have only 4-7s and the 'pretty 8' word... I came back because I saw the fish, on my printout, now I've been stuck here for 15 minutes.... grrrr I want to get back to my book... one bird, no animals and I'm feelin' a little stoopid, this mornin'.... just can't understand any of the clues - sigh -
I was really frustrated with them at first, but stick with it! It helped me greatly to figure out which tiles were involved based on point totals....

The word ending in "j" is not in the babble dictionary....another example of babble welfare. For a clue, try India. The 3rd 'j' .... think money.

OK, I'm at 72 words, 4.46, 736. Not great but OK.. Its take me 37 minutes to get the last four. So I think I'm done. I've have only one 7 word. I have three 'E's, one 'I' 'J' 'L' 'O' words, and two 'RH' words. Good luck everyone!
