Won't take noor.
lots of 6's and 7's, though.
? - I've played at least three games, but I'm not in the rankings. Is there a setting I need to do??
they don't update the rankings very often
The rankings have been not working properly lately - I've been in 18th place with 918 points for at least four days in a row.
2 8s at 65 each
I have one 8 for 40...hints please?
both of my 8s are 40...
I only have one 8 for 40 as well...
Ok. Just was afraid that my points from last grid were for not. Thanks!
it won't take gemsetter. :(
it won't take cheeto either :)
Just got an 8 for 65. First one all on my own :)
Oo, got the 8 for 65. Cool beans for me :)
another 8 for 65
no hints? :(
found a 65!
Both of the 65ers have two T's in them.
the 65 i have has no t in it
Haha, I just found an awesome 7-letter word for 56 points.
ugh, I am no good with the big words
wow. nothing over 48 and only 1 8. normally it would be great to have already broken 1000.
Crapite - the two 8's for 65 that I have, have two T's in them. That means I have another 8 to find.
104 / 5.00 / 1618

ooh! a 9. for 66.
Hey Rhonda! This is so fun!
66 for 1009.
Just found the nine - I can't believe that's a word.
weird, isn't it
another one along the lines of catclaws, eh?
Funny you should mention that... *hint hint*
hm. a 2nd 8 for 40. never heard of it b4 - a tropical horticultural word.
finally, an 8 for 65! :P
Oo, got the 8 for 65 without the T's.
it that double tt or just 2 t's?
twinangel - you're getting warmer. The first one.
*sigh* have to go to bed. Have to look tomorrow.
Rhonda is that you?
Shannon?? Cool another buddy on here.
I thought that was you!
Sorry to say Hi and run, but I really do need to go to bed. I'll be looking for you though.
OK, good night!
I'm done for the night. 89 words, 5.16, 1537. Sweet dreams.
& a 3rd 8 for 40. where are these 65's...

morning all. just about to start babbling!!!
holey moley bulldog!! That's a great score!! I'm only at 92 words 4.86 1185 and I'm stuck.
Hi, Winner, Good Morning, I am off to the beach. Will try for more words later.
having a break my migraine has come back... 2 much babbling!!!!
There's something wrong, here.... Bulldog consistently gets very high scores, but is ranked 122 and I'm ranked 54..... oh, I know - Babble looooves me.
anybody got anything with a *j*
Yikes - just realized there is another Krista (krista, actually), on here! Didn't know we were case-sensitive. I'll have to look more closely when I'm checking scores/rankings. Hi other Krista!
No J words here. Still hunting for the elusive 8's...1 down, 4(?) to go...
e-gasm (upper right corner)= when you find a huge word on Babble
Hi Krista (uppercase) : ) sorry...I probably would have picked another name if I saw there was already another Krista on here. Don't know why I did lowercase, I never do that, and it took it. krista (lowercase)
No worries! Funny..I usually don't use caps but did this time...guess we were both meant to be here. :)
it won't take reich?
Found the 9 for 66, but no 8s yet.
I wish they'd start using a new dictionary - there is no logic with what it will accept. Half of the words on my list right now don't even have a definition.
79 words 4.66 757 not a good day today!!
any clues on the 9s ????
A hint for the one 9 I have: housing for pets.
I keep trying to make words with -eric, like generic or esoteric, but they're not really there.
Wow..you guys are pretty slick...I'm only good at finding the small words! Biggest word is a 6.
*sigh* I was even looking for that word and couldn't see it thought it was obviously trying to stare me in the face :S
Wow....I found my first 7 word. I wonder if you actually get better at this game in time or if your mind just turns to mush?
definitely turns to mush... any other hints for the 9?
I cannot put that J in a word.
Ugh....I can't see straight!
Any "definitional" clues for the high-scoring 8s (the 65-pointers)? The presence or absence of T's doesn't help me much, I'm sorry to say ...
8 ltr for 65 = suffixes to a 6 ltr word which means to adhere
First time on the site so not sure if this is fair or not for clues: symbiotic espouser and the action thereby (that's 2 of the 8 letter 65 point words) and the act of antithetically impoverishing (the 3rd 65 letter word I have). Note: you have to change the verb tense on the last one.
thank you bigbirdboss. :) found a 7 i nearly forgot about - from after the days of 8-tracks.
Many thanks for the "meaning"ful clues ... much appreciated!
there's a tummy-related 7 here.
Not sure im doing well today only 140 cant see the 8's and the clues dont help lol
??? - only 140. i would be singing!
But someone said they had found 191
125 words 5.06 2007 I guess I gotta try harder if I'm gonna catch bulldog!
kristy are you playing?
"e-gasm (upper right corner)= when you find a huge word on Babble" That's fabulous ;) LOL
At 09:06 am krista said... "it won't take reich?" Ya, I tried that earlier. Bummer that it won't take.
For one of the 8's it means to: To make fuller, more meaningful. The other two 8's are variations of a word that means to fasten or secure. Does that help?
I've got six 7's and three 8's. Did someone say there's a 9ner in there?
A clue for an 8: "they" help pump your blood:) I'm finally getting the hang of this game, though I'm still not very good:(
ecb - For the clue "symbiotic espouser and the action the," I know what suffix you are talking about, I just can't figure out how to use it. That was one of the first things I noticed in this puzzle, but I cast it aside right away. Looks like I need to look harder.
Or, I guess it could be used at a prefix as well.
A hint for the 9 I have.....opposite of ancient.
chrissy47 - got your 8, thanks. Now I'm working on the tummy related, the opposite of really old. I think I already have the two 8's for 'symbiotic espouser and the action thereby' if its the ones I'm thinking of with the T's. Maybe...maybe not.
Done for now, 98 words, 5.18, 1690. Back later.
thanks for the clue chrissy47. : )
Garr. Opposite of ancient starts with what letter?
what is your highest point score for one word? mine is 66
One point better than I: I only have 3 65 pointers. Trying to get to 2000, but don't think I'll make it: at 1968 right now and stuck!
147/4.99/2291 with 1 9 and 4 8's so far, but no idea what the 'opposite of ancient' 9 is. Plus I've spent all day looking at that orgasm that isn't there! Just got a great 7 for 56 though.
Opposite of ancients starts with an N.
Thanks for the clues. I found the housing for animals and the one for pumping blood.
If I have the right 9, opposite of ancient starts with a 'n' and it is actually the plural version of the word.
anyone know of a good online dictionary??
it won't take iceage
wont take megatron
Home from a luncheon (where I had a gazillion ideas) to find none of them take...still at 118 for 1986 - 10/7s, 5/8s and 2/9s. Disheartened, I turn to my book...
'e-gasm'... what a lovely word.... definitely a keeper, to be used for great finds in future grids.
Got the 8 and 9 ltr opposite of really old. Never heard of it before, but I like.
mulhermujer, thanks! Not sure why you're saying you never heard of it helped me to find it, but it did!
Thanks, Christine - after I posted that, I was afraid I may have offended some.
Hi Big Sister you still there?
anyone use the J?
Guess not, Lower Case. I know I haven't!!
thanks Upper Case ; ) I've tried every combination and I don't think it's possible. I think I'm done with this one, 65 words 5.05 1045
That's it....I give up. I'm going cross eyed trying to find words. I am so done with this one....70 words, 5.03 letters and 1057 points. Maybe I'll have better luck with the next one. Have a great night everyone:)
My brain doesn't want to work today. All these clues and I can't find a thing! >:|
OK, the brain is starting to fire on all pistons. Nice clues, ecb! (Made me have to really think).
That tummy-related, opposite of ancient N word is completely eluding me.
It's two different words. One tummy-related, one opposite of ancient.
Well, that certainly helps! Are they both 9-letter words?
Ones a 7, one's both an 8 and a 9. :)
Sorry about that Jemper. When I was talking about those two clues earlier, I failed to put an 'and' in between them. The N opposite of ancient in its singular form ends in a 'C.' I'm still working on the tummy related one.
mulhermujer -- the tummy one begins with E and ends i C
ooh! i know another hint - think of different aspirin descriptions.
83/5.01/1285 9-7's, 2-8's, no 9's (Joey)
wouldn't the places they make thrones be called throneries :D
Are these two (tummy & ancient) really obscure words, or am I gonna smack my forehead when I finally figure them out?
i only got the new one by going with the prefix for "new." really strange word. the other - well. it's not totally obscure, but not an everyday word either. do you take vitamins?
They're pretty obscure.
Boy, I'll say! Just found the ancient one through sheer guesswork. The wonders of the English language! :oP (Thanks for all the help.)
Too funny! Guessed at some letter combos and "found" the tummy one, too.
I've found 6 8's and 1 9'er, I think there's another 9'er out there, no?
yes - the feline housing one. haven't found the full, meaningful 8, the one without t's, or a way to use mega/s.
The full, meaningful one starts with E. It also has no T's. Haven't heard about the mega/s!
Any clues as to how the 7 is related to the tummy? Is is inside or outside the body (if its even part of the body)?
Nevermind, I just found it. Sort of popped out at me. Cool Beans.
have been trying to make words with mega/s since i got home.
The full/ meaningfull one, you can also think of: To add fertilizer to. To add nutrients to.What would putting fertilizer do to something, in a beneficial way?
Feline housing? Not gettin' that one.
Me neither!
Obviously its not 'lair'. But is that close? What does it start and end with? Anyone?
the "feline" (think synonym) is plural. not getting the fertilizer one. think it may begin with ener.
c*******s
try enr
You're right about the first two letters.
aHA! Funny, ha, ha. muthermujer, it starts with "cat".
oh! finally! thank you both. :)
Got the cat, but working on the ending.
not a cat person.... :o(
I am, and I still struggled with that one. ;o) It has a double letter in it, if that helps.
gah started an hour ago and got 63 so far... but this cat... is frustrating me
Bingo! Got it! Never heard of it, but I will never forget it. Thanks all :)
For the cat one, I had tried with the first six letters, and got nowhere. The double T helped.
Shimmer - it's also a plural form of the word. The singular form doesn't exist in this puzzle.
Well, 105 words, 5.29, 1951. Excellent, excellent. I significantly raised my incidents of 7's, 8's, and one 9 :)
Shimmer, real fast: scroll to the comment at 10:43 and you may get it
I think I'm about done. 88 words / 5.15 / 1464 Mind-boggling to think there's more than 100 words I haven't even found!
gahhh my brain!!!!!
make that two 9's.
think smoke alarm necessities
Add a t to cater and pluralize it.
Muahahaha Thanks a bunch
64 5.12 1107 :o) best yet
