Thanks folks! Love to see more. Some clues for the 7s. There are two others (32, 28) that rhyme with the dog one clued about earlier. In addition to those, there are at least two more (36, 28) that end in the same 3 letters. One of them (32 points) happens at the eye doctor. Finally, there is one that is a particular ester or salt (28 points).
JLM -- Sorry, I'm dense today . . . are you saying there are 7x7? I was just congratulating myself on finding 6 ;-P I have 32, 32, 28, 36, 28, 28. Is there another 28?
I believe there are 10 7's, though I have only found 7 of them. Yep, I have a 4th for 28. In alphabetical order mine are 32, 32, 28, 28, 36, 28, 28. Assuming you have the dog one, you may be missing the ester/salt one I mentioned earlier. It starts with a 4 letter word for 4 points (knowing its place in the alphabet should help narrow that done a little). You can then add two letters to get a 6 letter word for 18, then pluralize it.
JLM -- We shall have to give you a new name -- bearer of bad news! 10x7?! ;-P Just when I was beginning to think I wasn't doing too badly today . . . ;) Thanks for the heads up!

I am so terrible at finding vowel words -- I only have 4 As, 3 Es, 4 is (of which I was very proud until Wendrie came along) and 4 Os! Must pull self away til later, however! ;-)

I'm out for the day, but I'm really curious about the two i-words that were body parts. Beyond me!! Thanks for the hints, though, and I love the lists of each letter's score (in your list, anyways) too. It's funny that I can usually tell by the number of messages just how difficult that day's puzzle will be: the more messages, the more people are chatting instead of playing! (or giving each other lots more hints)

I'm up to 7 7's as well. In order: 32, 32, 28, 28, 28, 36, 28. Wendrie's list tells me what letter my missing 32 starts with. As per one of JLM's tips, I'm looking for a 28 that ends in the last three letters of my 36, and having a hard time. A gut check: my 36 has to do with gardening. Is that the one you're thinking of, JLM?

My 7 for 36 is a fish commonly found in aquariums. Good to know that one of the 7s I'm missing has to do with gardening. Will be back in a bit to look for that one! :-D

There are about 230 words in this puzzle. And I should clarify - My 7/36 is the plural of said fish. It starts with P.
Is this gardening word for 36 one that any average household gardener would know, or is it more obscure? I keep wanting to see topsoil now. :-D
It's a pretty obscure kind of plant, an archaic name. periwinkle, the place in the alphabet should give a pretty good clue of what letter it starts with. If you still have trouble, holler. Now to find that silly fish! I have another fish word that almost fits the bill, but the plural doesn't seem to fit....
If your other fish word is a 6/24, that's not it. ;)
