played bridge this afternoon - fundraiser game
we had such a long day yesterday. st5ed with the community lunch th4 rolled over into the film night. we we4 out by 9:15am and home again 11pm. i slept until 9:30 this morning.
now i have done two loads of washing and st5ed sorting and folding another 4 loads of clean wash. it just never stops does it?

am sorry lunch and film night were disappointing. I guess it is true, cannot win them all. Still, if you put effort into something, it is nice if it is rewarding.

sprite we have had the loveliest of spring days he4. i did another two loads of wash and don hung it out in the sunshine and breeze. it is now 6:30pm and we still have front and back doors, and windows wide open.
oh that sounds great. Wish I could share it with you. We have landed in autumn here with a big plunge. Lots and lots of rain, cold wind, grey skies. Miserable weather.
i have also folded and sorted another 4 loads of clean washing, and done 75% of the dirty dishes.
you are really cruising, darling. Can't tell you how happy I am for you. I know how great it feels when you can do what you want without extreme pain during or after.
and don has been through a drawerful of cables etc, sorting and throwing away. we have been seriously bitten by a case of spring cleaning.... loll
that is wonderful too. Throwing out the old and making room for the new is important. If you do it in your home, you do it in your mind and energy too.

I'm not a fan of either candidate, but I do like to fact check, and was curious about why Hillary is so strongly disliked. Several polls and studies boil it down to 4 things: 1) the email thing, which more than 1 investigation by Republicans concluded nothing criminal, just stupid. 2) The Benghazi issue, which she took responsibility for. 3) She's a woman. 4) Trump's repeated (and repeated) called her 'crooked Hillary' and his efforts to make her misdeeds look worse than his own. Those were the main reasons. Very few (including Trump supporters) doubt her credentials or ability to be President. That said, I still wish we had a different choice for both parties.

Oh my. I am a woman, so I would be determined to use my vote in the forthcoming electiom. Personally, I would welcome a third option.....neither Trump nor Clinton inspire confidence in me.
i don't think the four suggested reasons below for why people don't like Hillary can be it, because other than being a woman, they are all too recent. people have disliked her for far longer than that. i think it's that people have a sense that she's very "politician-y". like, i mean, with Barack and Michelle Obama, you feel like, what you see is pretty much what you get. you feel like they speak from their hearts and you get they way they think and you feel like they are not hiding their true selves. which is the opposite of "politician-y". of course, trump also is hiding nothing, but what he has to reveal is so horrifying that in his case, it's not an advantage.
bernie sanders is also non-politician-y, which is why he was far more popular with non-establishment liberals than with, say, superdelegates.

peri, the recipe for Butternut Squash Bisque is there now
That recipe looks good lil
It's so easy! If you have WalMart or Farm Fresh, they both sell the squash already peeled and cute into cubes. That saves a lot of the effort.
The soup has a curry flavor from the Garam Masala.

Let's see, I think Trader Joe's has the squash like that too.
They have it at Costco also. I often buy it that way because it is so easy and I am lazy :D

Cool! The coconut milk changes the taste somewhat, but some people prefer it. I like using 1/2 and 1/2.
don't care for coconut that much, so will use 1/2 and 1/2 also
