anyone else getting red boxes?
went out and came back in, they're gone
good morning all
good morning Sprite
good evening, flosey. Did you have a good day?
yes thanks Sprite, a fairly quiet day, then played bridge this evening at the club - with hubby - we usually play with others but went well
sounds nice.
{{hugs}} and good morning dear sprite. {{hugs}} dear flosey
it was nice to play together - came in 4th of 12 pairs
*hugs rose* Hello my dear friend, how are you tonight? How did your day go and how is the boyo behaving?
wow, not bad, flosey
hugs Rose and how are things with you today?
boyo is behaving himself. good day. podiatrist this af5noon so tootsies feel great again . and got that wretched government form in to department concerned.
very good, rose. Glad that is behind you. Did the boyo apologise for being a total ass, btw?
how are you feeling sprite?
ah good for you Rose, that must be a load off your mind getting that matter out of the way
lollll, like that is going to happen.
yes flosey. like sprite, hand me a form to fill out, and my eyes glaze over.
I am ok. Think I turned the corner as far as the flu is concerned. Now for getting some energy back.
darn the man. He is so lucky I am not nearby, hmpfffff
oh, and the gardener came today and planted out all the seedlings. snapdragons, pelargonium and also a new geranium. when they b ecome established i will definitely take pics.
please do
phantom: aquatic
will look forward to seeing your garden in bloom, Rose
seeing pictgures, that is
:)
or perhaps pictures!!!
I am sure rose wouldn't mind your visiting her, flosey
lolll....
would love to Sprite but it is a long flight - not sure I could handle it anymore - even flying back to Ontario is getting a bit much - but I will still go there, having 2 sons in TO
we need the star trek transporters so badly. Beam us over, Scotty!
plus a veru loving grandson!!
worth traveling for :)
have considered taking the train - might just try it next time
wow, that is a long train ride
wonder how it would feel being beamed around - an interesting thought!
brb. shopping to put away. xoxox
ok sweetie
probably very scary, the first time, flosey!
If I did, I'd start (ahead of time) knitting a sweater or something to fill the time
knitting or crocheting is a great way to fill the time while traveling, that's for sure
a girlfriend and I (way back in our teens) took the train from Toronto to California (school chums had moved there) then up the west coast to BC and back across Canada to TO
we had a ball!
awesome. Must have been quite an adventure.
it was, we kept a diary - think I must have tossed it when I packed to move out here-silly!
oh, that is one of the few things you should never toss out :(
we were really green horns! but luckily weren
bothered by anyone
that is a good thing. I believe there are special guardian angels for silly teens
lol, we were looked after very well, tks Sprite - I thing those guardian angels had their work cut out for them
:D
we would have been 17 or 18, no more
so young, yet feeling so very mature
loll. sprite do you remember the toilet bowl light that don has installed?
strange, I had every confidence in the two of us going all that way by ourselves - our parents didn
didn't seem too concerned
children that age feel immortal and so very worldwise. Parents know better.
yes rose?
it has many different colours. but one, the most lovely shade of purple, removes a;ll yellow colour and when you look in the bowl af5 using it, it looks like it is full of blood-red pee. i nearly had a heart attack.
lol! Poor you.
very disconcerting, especially at 3am.
we had the rail line people create our trip for us, they had everything mapped out
I'd have a litter of kittens if my girl would make such a journey. But I'd keep it to myself.
so if Rob has the same 'freat' idea, tell him NO
hehehe he wouldn't.
oh my, Rose that must feel strange
this grid is broken. It only has 75 words but it keeps insisting it has 118.
it's a bit of a giggle actually flosey. it's really a good idea too.
rofloll sprite... the little so-and-so's are there believe me.
no way. *shakes grid vehemently*
don't shake too violently dear;. that loose screw may come undone and roll away under the chair.
44 to go and think I'll leave them for morning, need sleep, good night all
sweet dreams flosey.
night night flosey, sleep well, dear lady
there is a loose screw in the grid too??
aha, you admit you also have a loose screw ??
nope, all righty-tighty here. *checks belly button* Yep, ass still attached.
oh my.... LOLOLLLL
my turn today to shop and cook... hope I have the energy.
poor you... make it simple and easy. like soup and grilled cheese on toast...
mwah, we have been having that for most of last week, since we were both ill. I might opt for an oven dish.
I very much enjoy turning on the oven at night, sitting down with a book and saying: "Watch me cook dinner, darling."
also a good idea. doesn't leave too many dishes to wash either.
no indeed. And it allows me to spread the joy. Shopping in the morning, preparing oven dish in the afternoon, and just flipping the switch in the evening.
it is fall holiday here, so no singing lesson tonight.
nice... now that sounds like a great plan, honey
:P)
errr that was to be :D
so what are youthinking of putting together?
hmmm let's see
I think chicken with boursin, over bell peppers and tomatos and courgette. Top off with rosti.
yummmmmm. chicken....... anything with chicken is good.
:) I agree
we are having grilled blue grenadier with onions. prolly oven baked potato, no oil/fat and steamed other vegs. frig and freezer full so he can make up his own mind
good
what is grenadier?
fish, sprite. white fish
ah, ok :)
and for this friday i am making cream of chicken and vegetable soup.
I am not a fish fan. White fish is one of the few exceptions though. And smoked salmon.
ditto here. another thing we have in common.
:) sister of my taste buds!
ugh, body temp just went up. for goodness sakes !! it's all but snowing outside and i have the fan on... lolll
hehehe :) I had my son bring me a spanish fan from his vacation last summer. Very pleasant when having a flare-up
watching 'pointless' on tv. the question is spanish cities with a football team which competes at a certain level. all the contestants cracked up laughing.
don't know that show. But Barca springs to mind
how's the grid going? have you found the 8?
yeah that was my 2nd word
I have 13 left now
wow, sprite. you rock, honey
mwah not really. Heavy delivery, this grid
ah, the diadem is not a phantom, it is acutally there
actually even
yes honey
last word. U5.
I have to loosen your laces. Would you please clue me the one I am missing?
i have it but can't clue it
hiya Glant :)
ends like the place milk is turned to butter
morning all
thanks! Fireflies
UN + h*i**, lots of hair
well done,
WTG SPRITE!!!
thanks :) *hugs* to you both. Sleep well, rose. And have a grand day, both of you.
xoxox sprite. take it easy sweetie
thanks, off to take my car to the garage soon, has a rubbing noise on front wheeel, think I may need a new bearing
enjoy your day too, Sprite
Good morning
Good morning, Sukee
Hi Ruby
ruby, my Marco has an owie in his leg
Hello, Bichon. Did he bite it open?
Rufie does that sometimes nervously, I think
I am temptd to givehim Xanax LOL
Can Marco walk or is he limping?
No, he's been limping on it for several weeks. Had him at the Vet yesterday to examine him under sedation and x-rays. The radiologist wasnt in this week, but he is on strict rest. No jumping on the furniture [hah] and short walks. It could be hip dysplasia
Are they prone to that?
No, it's usually in larger dogs.
Raffie has a problem with a knee and limps interittently
That's what I thought with dysplasia, usually big, heavy purebreds
How old is Marco?
He's always trying to jump on the furniture
He's 9
At least you can pick him up
Only 13 1/2 pounds
Rufie weighs about 75 and Raffie ONLY 60
They are like pièces of furniture
I ould find it difficult to live with large dogs. Keep thinking I'd trip over them
I've only Fallen over Rufie once and I was carrying something and not paying attention
I usually know where they are
That wouldbe me. I am rather clumsy
The big problem with such big dogs is getting them into the car
There's that too.
Raffie needs a haircut, but I can't find a groomer to come to the house, even if I offer to pay double or triple
Chows have bad reputationsand are very rare here
We have mobile grooming vans here
We had that in Miami
And it actually cst less than an ordinary grooming here
I pay her $68 and she comes every 8 weeks
If I seend her aa ticket, wull she come here? LOL
sorry for th typos, I'm very blurry
She's all mine
hahah
She likes Marrco because he's so mellow
Rufie is mellow with women, barks at most men
Raffie stays awat from almost everyone
She's like a cross between a Tibetan mastiff and a cat

don't get me wrong, she was not my first choice.
