ursh gave it anyway
Thanks
we are still talking abouyt from the musical instrument right?
AHA so the ten is the person who off that but not the USUAL person who ending, the one that we put on the 9
no - we're talking co 8's now
ty hurshy --- strange word -- maybe even not real
That co 8 extends to a co 10
oh. i have the 9 but cant get the 10 for some reason.
same ending, same e-e-ending
co 10 is not related to co 9
(that was to the tune of "good morning" from... what is that from... singin in the rain?)
ok, that's nbt, nbs for me and I'm off to bed. I've been fighting a cold all day and am exhausted.

Sleep well, nan
RIGHT
The co 10 is linked to what Ursh said

When I wake up in the morning, she's just finishing
yeah we are a bunch of hours apart
It's not just the hours, you are a whiz
Is English your mother tongue?
no, I am dutch through and through
Have you lived in an English speaking country
It's amazing how good your English is.
no, but we learn english here from about 12 years old. As a tiny country, we need to speak our languages.
thanks :)
If it's any country which has the best English speakers, it's Holland
I love Holland. Spend some time in Vlodrop and Maastricht
it is both tradition and a necessity, I think. We have always been a nation of traders, and let's face it, we are just a tiny fly poop on the world map. So we have to!
In any case, it is impressive.
thank you for the compliment. I love english. It is a wonderful language.
Then you much speak French and German as well, correct?
yes I do. We get all three languages at school here. Some schools even add Spanish. Mine didn't :(
Maastricht is nice. I don't know Vlodorp that well.
wow! just amazing, sprite! I remember (many yrs ago) getting lost in Amsterdam . . . the only person in sight was a little 9 yr old girl . . . who gave me directions in fluent English -- I was flabbergasted!
:D yay for dutch schools! *hugs Une*
hugs to you too! :-)
with all the computers and american cartoons on tv, children learn english at an even earlier age nowadays
I will be back later. Have fun all, and thanks for the company.
later, sprite! :-)
must run -- heading up the highway to pick up Luna, a beautiful white shepherd rescue girl . . . HAGD everyone!
I found a 8:)

bye chris ty
only 236 left:)
Piece of cake
You're ahead of me fan
molly are you going to watch the football game tonight?
I am going to watch The Redskins at 1 PM. I don't usually watch night games. I have to get up too early.
uggh that sucks molly and its your actual team you would want to watch that is playing tonight
My teams are The Redskins and Denver. Neither are playing tonight.
Anyone here have a TIVO?
ohh that's right the Broncos.. are they playing today at all?
I don't have a TIVO Bich. And if I did, I would not record sports events. I like to watch them live.
You like the commercials. I never watch anything live
I agree with Molly unless its pre season they rerun games I may have not been able to watch
most programs are not live anyway
clue for the 10 pls?
One who pours cement
ty molly
I don't like commercials. I mute them when they come on. And football is the only thing I watch live.
some channels for football games have too many commericals
and I see the same commercials over and over....
I think ad time for football games is very expensive because it is one of the few things people watch live anymore.
that is probably true which is such a stupid think to do this season and maybe a few before it they cant fill the stadiums like they used to
and tv audiences, are not there either
good morning all
hi wv
hello mlf
can't think of ny show I watch live
Life is too short to watch commercials
op7?
Mostly i watch tthings on HULU or Netflix
ends in **** & rave
hi luv ty

I am making the assumption one or both might be the against prefix but I could be wrong

while it is possible to be incarnate, apparently being carnate is not.
Carnate IS a word. Just not according to this backward, outdated dictionary and word list.
good morning everyone --- look out!...Molly's on a rampage ;-)
It's so much fun to rant here
- Enhanced North American Benchmark LExicon Millennial Edition Somewhere in the back of my mind I remember Dr. God was using this dictionary
E.N.A.B.L.E....if you take out the Millenial... ;o)
Phantom: Ketchup.
Really struggling with the co8 and co10. Previous clues haven't helped me. Help?
No, not a rampage. Just expressing an opinion.

thank you
(puts some fries in the deep fryer for Zooz)
I will eat the fries, Thannk you, Ruru :-) But I hate ketchup so willleave that off lol
*Gets onion rings ready to go in after the fries come out
Good morning, all. BIG earthquake & aftershocks in New Zealand last night. Hope all of our Babble friends from there are ok.
It's funny, but I like mustard on my burgers and fries
I'm not sure if kiwi lives in Christchurch or not
Hello, Judi, Yes I saw that on the news website a minute a go.
Yes, heard. Don't know if anyone died
co 8: cement co 10: one who studies it?
And a Tsunami! Reports of injuries coming in. No reports of death. Prayers for our kiwi friends.

delayed reaction here ... watching Sunday Morning as I do this
OMG, just reading the chat. My son is in NZ. Where did it hit and how big?
South Island northo f Christchurch
That CO 10 is to do with poetry!
epicentre was just off the coast near Christchurch
http://tinyurl.com/j6t37ed
damage reported within 100 mile radius
For you, Ruby.
<I think that's where my son is
Ring his cell, Ruby. Although, the lines are probably jammed up with everyone calling.
can you call him
email?
it could be his bell has been rung judi
texting would be quicker than email I'd guess
just ask Anthony Weiner
Where is Dunedin? He is getting tons of messages on FB, all unanswered
but texting relies on phone lines
southeast on the south island
it's far south of Christchurch
but probably within a hundred miles
Said the earthquake was felt as far away as Dunedin. Although, the tsunami warning was issued for that area. Not sure how far inland.
Looks like that part was not affected, Ruby. By the look on google maps.
Dunedin is on the water
He probably feltit, but I think was far enough from Christchurch
hi
he's probably ok.. probably no power though ruby
how big was the quake
hello people all over the world
7.8
7.8, with strong aftershocks.
Hello, Bichon :-)
whoa.. that's a big quake
Indeed.
Tsunami also.
yikes
and a tsunami!
text him ruby.. give it a try
anyone know where kiwi lives?
NZ
I do not but people like Grannyrose and Lizlin would know.
I tried his cell and sent a message on FB chat. Is that the same as texting?
Off to grocery shop.
no, texting is a written message using phone lines. FB is the best way as long as the internet is working
chip
sorry
I don't have a cell phone
cell phones use satellite, don't they?....
hi everyone (kiwi lives in wellington)
Yes they do, Pen. My texts are not by phone lines/
that's what I thought Pen
Thanks, Welki.
so if Ruby knows someone with a cell phone, she could try calling or texting with that....
ty welki
It depends on if you have a sat phone
he has n't been online in 9 hours.
Wellington might be affected by the Tsunami.
His wife has a huge family, so I'm sure somebody will know something soon
what time is it there?
05:30am
any clues for the RE 7/40 please
I think it's 3:30 AM there
Welling not that far, but it's on the North Island
he's probably been sleeping....
ch 6/24, pls
It's night time there
He's on the South Island where the quake was!
there's a map on this site, will give you an idea of where kiwi is in relation to the quake. and ruby, he's likely safe and sound - like others have said, probably no power http://tinyurl.com/jerfrwl
I'm sure he's okay
thank you all
RE + I have a sore *****(bit) on my leg.
Power out lots of areas
Or RE + a word to describe a small piece of material used to mend a tear or break, to cover a hole, or to strengthen a weak place.

Yes, just use those first three letters

you can get two words out of the color
the color sometimes ends in flipped around ending

got the two oc 5/14 by rearranging last two letters
oc 6/21 -- abbr for a month + a pismire or emmet
ca 6/27?
ca 7/32, second one, pls
stilll looking, Bichon....
I don't have either
Ha ha! Got it! I sing in one every year at Christmas time at church.

slowly slogging toward 1/2 way. don't have an 8 9 or 10. and still two bt. Ugh.
Evening all. I have 178 left and have just got NBT and NBS. Not sure I'll finish...
what are your blank tiles m9?
co8 is what they make roads and buildings from
I just got one.. the r on the bottom. But now I have the above it to get.

ty Glant

co8...ice cream holder and word for the crown or top of the head
ty molly
cr 9 please? been trying to extend the castle feature
If this grid had a differently placed s we might top 744
castle feature...
all i can think of is crenellation
yes, but I have it
there's a verb - crenulate
co + double cononant
ok then the cr 6 that means saw toothed
* cr 7, I mean
cr 9.. starts like a French pancake and ends with picnic pest
thank you and thank you
tyvm
ty ru
imagines a French pancake filled with ants
chocolate ants would work, they are a delicacy somewhere in the wporld
yeah.. for people desperate for chocolate :D
filled with shrimp, crab and lobster in a creamy bechamel sauce
I would rather never eat chocolate again than eat it as a bug coating
menus without chocolate --- the word is diet
me too.. that' totally grosses me out
cr 8
I broke down and had ice cream last night.. i'm ashamed
cr8 start with an idiot and end with a heavy weight
cr 8 please?
just clued it
actually ends with 2,000 pounds and half a Hawaiian goose
we tend to cut geese in half here a lot
:-)
Do we spatchcock them?
ty ru
I tend to roast them whole. That will be my Xmas dinner.
if you have a honkering for some goose I guess
(waiting for M9)
What? You can't pate without me?
Such a foi!
Ashamed of having ice cream? Have you developed an eating disorder?
i'm trying to lose weight and it was calling out to me and I succumbed to the call
Christmas is coming, the RU is getting fat?
if you want to lose weight the easy way just look at the Diet Doctor website Ru. I am losing about 2lbs a week and for tea I ate trout, cauliflower mash with cheese, mushrooms fried in butter, followed by blueberries and nuts in cream. Yum.
Ah, the siren call of cookie dough ice cream. Impossible to resist.
We should start a diet support group.
that's harsh, m9, considering we were just talking of roasting the goose whole ;)
hello, may I have a clue for the re7/40 plz?
Actually.. *I* was talking of spatchcocking it!! Bwaahaahaa!!!!!
i have to sew a piece of fabric on a hole again, lb
I was trying to imagine an oven big enough to cook a spatchcocked goose
thank you LeslieAnn!
ty lesleiann, for the pa and re
i had to look spatchcock up, never heard of it before
Look up the recipe for spatchcock chile lime chicken! IT's really good.
Cookie dough ice cream..... you promise yourself you will only have one scoop .... then you find yourself digging deeper & deeper for another dollop of cookie dough. You blink,
And the tub is empty.
I'm like that with spumoni ice cream...and peppermint stick ice cream...
tadone!! now to go look up spatchcock
Actually, when trying to lose weight, it is better to give yourself an occasional small treat than go without. And "feeling ashamed" of eating anything is never good.
wtg dawg!
taking a break --- beginning to doubt my command of the english language
no kidding. THis grid is a bear.
the 7's 8's, 9;s and 10 definitely make you wonder if you have any concept of the written word
spatchcocked.. sounds kind of dirty to me
just hit 200... trying to get to less than 100 left before listing, but getting much slower!
i know ru i kind of braced myself before googling it
:-D
I thought spatchcock had become a commonly known cooking term. I guess I watch too many cooking shows.
I would love a clue for the 2nd an8.
I wonder if Spatchcock is used in a leather bar
I fill a baker's sheet with veggies and put the spatchcocked chicken right on top and roast it all together.
Sounds nice but that would add way too much chicken fat for me.
an8...against a guy like Batman who is a super ___
ty, had just found it
Yup. I like greasy roasted veggies :-D
the re 7 right after the re 6 one who leases an aparment plz
rerent
nope
to sew a piece of fabric over a hole again
(picks up the extra straws that M9 is grabbing at)
lol
ty ru!!
hey.. I am THIS close to getting 1/2 way through this beastie!
re7 you are looking for Ivesy is to re cover a whole in fabric
yep got it from your clue thks
that was glantrell's clue.
I was still teasing m9
oh sorry.. ty glant!!
no prob
1/2 way!!!
wahoo!
200 words done
the REs are killing me
i hear that
and I have just discovered that the re8 has noting to do with the re7 which precedes it :(
Hey All!
hello aussie
Hey ruru
Hi Aussie
Hi Glantarell
here until halftime is over....
only thing I can think of for that on is ontap and that's not it!
nm - found it
cyber what word are you looking for?
I cannot find that re8
I only have a re7
me too
hi all, diving in
hi book
which re is it for the re 8?
I found co 7/32
it is straigh after the first re7 but not connected to it as far as I can see
giant in the grid which re does it come from?
if anyone knows?
I'll know soon as I am working through the R words
if it is straight after the person who says what they memorized then it has to be from one of the lower R's
not the bottom r as that is grey on my puzzle
so the right side one
that is the re 6/7 isn't it?
re 8 comes way later....after re-sewing over the hole...
so it has to come from the top R....
oh ok
it follows mend a hole again
oh well going back to watching the game...poof
GOT IT
starts like make a copy of something ends with not pro (pro meaning for)
Thanks Hursh!
not following the clue. Maybe I am looking at a different word LOL
can't make those two ends meet...
first 6 letters make a copy reuse last of those as the first of 3 letter not-pro
got it
ty
it's make a copy that has me stumped
it's not the full word for make a copy, just the first 6 letters
think of museum objects that are too valuable to display
they put re on display instead
so like, i ate her cake and i went home and tried to re______ it but it did not come out as well as hers
reproduce is the only thing I can think of
a fake copy of a Ming Vase would be a re7
yes the museum thing is better
starts same first 3 letters or your word Nan,
or if the queen doesn't want to wear the real crown jewels and she has a paste copy or re______
oh i have it....the not pro part was messing me up...ty....
replicate can't be it either
the first 6 letters, yes it can
just use the forst 6 letters of that nan
Nan, first 6 letters of that word, then opposite of pro
ah - got it - was on the same track as you pen
was going for ante instead of the other
if i could just get one more P word i would feel happy

Hello, Liz :-)
How've you been keeping and I hope your parents are well.
I am well thanks. Parents are okay thanks for asking. How are things going for you?
All's fine here - life's busy but not with anything in particular!
Keeping busy is good :-) Hope the weather is still nice where you are?
This morning it's about 26 C but very windy - it's 9.30 here.
I read that it's pretty cold in the UK this autumn.
Or it's forecast to be cold.
It is around 5.9c here at the moment.
and fireworks! that was a big hairy beast of a grid.
That's cold!
Day time has been around 10.c
Congrats, LeslieAnn - agree that it's a nasty grid.
Congrats, LeslieAnn!
YIKES
Well I guess it's getting on to winter, Zooz. I'm so glad I don't have to put up with those temperatures any more.
You are lucky, Liz. I hate it.

Did you hear about the earthquake in NZ?
We moan here if it gets into single figures on a winter night but we don't have central heating.
rubyfoo was here earlier... her son is in NZ and she had not heard from him yet
Already finished but thank you , LeslieAnn :-)
Yes, but thankfully (not really thankful) only 2 have died - it could've been much worse.
I'm sure her son will be OK but if he's in the south island, he probably felt the quake.
I've just listed so I don't know what I want yet - thanks.
40 left.
We were wondering if Kiwi would be okay also.
I think I heard she lives in Wellington, which is north island. She might've felt it though. I hope she's OK.
They did show on the news someone in Wellington filmed the room shaking.
