I'm sure he does. I'm just not aware that he has ever actually removed a word from a grid because people find it offensive.

Apologies. I interpret "private site" as a site where people have to be members. This site is open to the public. It is privately owned and can be censored. It is my understanding that it only gets censored when some troll like person comes on here spewing obscenities.

I can't deal with Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving. I know a lot of people do it, but that just seems like rushing Christmas too much for me. Besides, I would be sick of it all by Christmas.
i am in a recorder group and we play in the waiting room of a nursing home every Wednesday afternoon....traditionally, we start playing Christmas music right after Thanksgiving....But the first week or two we play what we call "alternative Chrismas music" (lesser known Christmas carols)....i do enjoy playing all that music...
i am in three different groups and we will start playing in nursing homes on Monday. Then will play every Tuesday and Wednesday for the next three weeks. I enjoy the Christmas music
nice....i enjoy it, but by the end, I am glad it's done with... ;o)
I would love to hear the lesser know Christmas music. The other thing that gets on my nerves is that all the stores start playing Christmas music today. You can only hear "Frosty The Snowman" so many times before you want to start breaking things.
It is nice that both of you contribute your time to making the elders in the nursing home happy.
We have our musical Christmas party (this year on Dec 20th) and that is our traditional "end of playing Christmas music" party. We always try to find some music that we didn't do for performances to play for the party.
yes, Molly, i don't like the store music either....but nice recorder arrangements or variations on Chrismas music can be quite nice...i like the variations in particular....
My Father spent some time in a nursing home and it always made me sad that so few of the residents had visitors.
we try to do a mixture - but include many of the popular carols so we can encourage them to sing along
yes....i have a friend in my recorder group who brings her greyhound to the nursing home....she's a certified therapy dog....the residents love her...
we don't play for a group of seniors, but sometimes people wheel one down to listen for a few minutes...
That is nice Pen. I'm sure many of the people there miss having pets.
we always try to visits with the residents after each performance and also let them try to play the instruments
i once met a therapy pig....she was one of those miniature pigs...owner brought her to meet some of the residents at the home...

My Mom's family was all auburn haired and brown eyed except for one oddball gene that seems to crop up in every generation. My Mom was one and one cousin the other. Both blonde and blue eyed in a sea of auburn and brown eyes.
my cousins have very strong genes....all appear to have the same nose...many of their kids do, too, along with red hair...
we pretty much knew what Nugget would come out looking like, seeing as how hubby + i broth have fair skin, gray-blue eyes, and brown hair.

I kinda like pugs. Someone that size and short haired. I assume female (spayed) would be best.
are you asking for breed suggestions? or a referral to a specific rescue? In general I recommend young adult dogs and in particular I'd look for one that has a history of good behavior with cats.
pugs tend to have good personalities but a lot of health issues - ear canal narrowing predisposes them to ear infections, skin folds to skin infections, flat face to respiratory problems and dental issues.... so be prepared for a higher maintenance dog.

I am fond of Bostons and French Bulldogs in that vague size range - they are not quite as brachycephalic as pugs so don't have as many issues.
A mutt would be better.
though I rarely go looking for a specific breed; I am mostly looking for a personality that I get along with, and that comes in whatever body it comes with.

you might want to consider training Loki to run on a treadmill, that's a good way to burn off excess energy without requiring you to keep up with him

if there are any dog parks in the area, you could spend time there, let him get some run-around with other dogs that don't become your responsibility :)
