Who can say that 'sippee' is NOT a word???!!!
LOL Maybe you need a second 'p' for that!
58 for 680. Here's what I have so far: d x 4 e x 1 h x 7 j x 4 m x 6 n x 4 p x 9 r x 10 s x 6 t x 5 y x 2
So far for me... 53 for 670 d = 7 e = 2 f = 3 h = 6 j = 2 m = 5 n = 2 p = 7 r = 7 s = 5 t = 6 y = 1
Going to bed with... 65 for 822.
OK, I'm really missing something here ax1 dx7 ex1 fx2 hx5 jx2 mx5 nx2 px9 rx9 sx8 tx5 yx4 60 words but only 541 points....please help me on the high scoring words!

107/1318 still only 2x7 and nothing higher
Still pitiful here...only 2x7, 3x6 71/718 working on the optical clue :-)
begins with an r
117/1407 and still nothing higher than 2x7

173/2279 9x7 no 8's
ax5 dx16 ex4 fx4 hx12 ix1 jx7 mx7 nx10 ox4 px24 rx31 sx21 tx23 yx5
could you pluralize a 7, mayhap?
another y for disparity would be nice...sleeping on 125/1637. have fun, good night. :)
I just cant see the 8
The 8 starts with T It's associated with a 7
ok thanks will look 6x e and 9x m
It hates farmers, won't accept EIEIO.
Yayyyy I found it and it also made it 11x7 cheers
27xt
188/2621 12x7 1x8.
logged back on - oh good you found the 8. (if it wasn't 5 am i might have said change the tense, not make it pl.) whoops! 'night, again.
*or the person doing it. oh gross, am so overtired and the sun's about to rise. :D
There's another 8 for 45
Another ouch took me long enough to find the first on lol any clues? 190/2659
comes from a 6 for 21 :)
How many words are in this puzzle?
about 220 words in this puzzle
I've got 49 of them - nothing over 6 ltrs
and i think DIOREEA is a perfectly good word!
Darn, it won't take 'eejit'
EEJIT's got a P in it, that's why - EEJIPT
7 for 36
199/2799 Oooh will I ever get 200 still no second 8
2nd 8 begins with A
Thanks I have it now 202/2905
shortseer, would you please tell me which T your 8 letter words starts with. I cannot find it. Thanks.
I am stuck at 90 with two 7's but no 8's :(.
I'm stuck at 91 - no 7's or 8's :((
sorry, wasn't here to answer the question earlier ... clue: if you spend time walking and plodding round and round that T in the first row you'll find an 8
Thank you shortseer, I will keep trying. :)
shortseer, wasn't sure how to spell it at first but got it. Thanks so much! :)
shortseer, good clue!
Now I have to find the 8 letter A word.
clue: Only the more skllful will find the A for 8 Are there any advances on 2x 8's ?
shortseer, great clue. Had to use my crossword dictionary to see if I spelled it right. :)
The anagram yesterday was STAR, correct?
still can't find the 8 ltr A word :( any clues to help me anybody?
I'm sorry - erm, does one need an official introduction to join in the chat? Nobody seems to respond to my postings... Please tell me if I'm out of line or anything...
Don't worry lil. Along about this time there are very few babblers around. Just keep noodleling and we'll both find that "a" word that has something to do with skill.
thanks esh - you're a friend out in the dark!
there's some good clues further down in the chat :)
Thanks Atalante, I've read them, but they don't seem to help much :( I've managed to find some 7's on my way tho' :)
Atalante - I have a 6 for 21 to do with churchy stuff - is that the one to make the 8 for 45 with?
break time...
If you have the A: 6 for 21, then you should have no problem getting an 8 out of it...
lil - I finally got the "a" word. And it does mean a skilful or clever person.
Its someone who goes to the right .... (if you know French :P)
Atalante - that was the clue for me! Thank you. I got it in one go! First the A -6 for 21 - thank you trebble 99, spurred on by eshadow's succes and the frenchy clue. (Huge sigh of relief) :)))
btw - i've never heard of either word! very educational this game, besides being a thief of time ;)
I have both the eights, but stlil haven't broken 100 words...
BTW, the anagram I was talking about in yesterday's puzzle is: arts rats star tars tsar
Lilecama - welcome to the board and game. Personally I don't bother much with saying HI, I just type my queries and observations. I do say G'nite occasionaly.
hey mul how's the weather?
got my hair highlighted!!! Larry says hi!
periwinkle - I just saw your post. You got the anagram. I'm so proud of myself for finding that. I'm just starting to pay attention to anagrams, so I was happy to 'find' that one.
Tolinya - the weather is totally beautiful here. Everything is green, my mom's garden is in full bloom, and all kinds of fruits are in season. That's cool about your hair. Tell Larry I said HI back. Hey, I'm planning to bring back bunch of fresh fruit and corn. Do you think your mom might want some? They've got peaches, apricots, white sweet corn, cukes, cherries, tomatoes, nectarine,...that's all I can think of right now. I'm bringing a bunch back for my dad and I. I'd offer you some, but you all are leaving.
well thanks Mulhemujer! :) thats a difficult name to type you've got there!
and I even left out the 'R' sorry Mulhermujer.. there you go. got it that time
Ya, if you are not into Espanol or Portuguese, it can be a handful. I've seen folks write mul, mm, or mulher,...whatever is easiest works for me. If you typed Womanwoman, I'd probably get that too. ;)
yeah mom would love that stuff. gotta swing by your dads tamarra the compost container is WAY full..hehe. yeah it's hot here..we might get a storm later though...(fingers crossed). the a for 21 can anyone give me a clue (or maybe tell me which post the clue is in...)
I think it is an absolute crime that there are 31 R words, 'cause I can only find 13 so far!!
womanwoman...??? does mulhermujer mean womanwoman?
Glad you got it Lilecama ;)
Tol - send me an email and let me know what she would like and how much, like, 4, 6, or 7 nectarines....stuff like that. And I don't have a single A word yet....:(
at 9.25 shortseer posten 'if you spend time walking and plodding round and round that T in the first row you'll find an 8'
yeah - me too Atalante! feel much better now and into chats.. ;) back on the board yourself are you?
Lil yeah couldn't find that one either and I walked, strutted, traisped, skipped, you get the picture.
Tolinya - Atalante gave me the best clue ever for the a-8! for some people another clue helped which was posted - a gain by shortseer: clue: Only the more skllful will find the A for 8
Ya, sorry for not explaining that. Mulher is Portuguese for woman, and mujer is spanish for the same thing. Its part of my email address. I originally wanted to just have mulher@....but someone else already had that (how dare they ;). Personally, I really don't care for 'mulhermujer' 'cause its long and akward, but it is totally uncommon, so it works for me.
yeah - the strut along one I found ok - and you're nearly there looking at your list.... play about with the one you started with 'T'...
how about mulmuj? nice idea tho' - womanwoman :)
be right back boy closed hiimself in his bedroom LOL
wowo is also possible - leaving the men out of it completely.
got that 8 for 50 DOH I walked right past it lol
mmm yes back - trying to find the 100s of words I know are there, but just refuse to show themselves to me
I'm about to go to bed - its nearing midnight here. I'd like to post my stats - is there an easy way of doing this, or do you have to count your words one by one - does anyone know?
manual count
Lilecama - What's nice about both Port and Span is that their words for man are not similar to their words for woman. In Port, man is 'homem,' and in Span, 'hombre.' Not that I was trying to 'leave man/men out' but I guess that's the way it ended up. Instead of 'wowo' it could be woowoo, kind of like Sinclair from 'Living Single.' Loved that show :)
oooh, groan. Well, i've got 132 / 1730. i think an earlier posting of Mellowmasher for stats is more useful to look at than what I have. I QUOTE: 173/2279 9x7 no 8's ax5 dx16 ex4 fx4 hx12 ix1 jx7 mx7 nx10 ox4 px24 rx31 sx21 tx23 yx5
mulhermujer, there was another set of anagrams of 4 letters for 5 words in yesterday's puzzle -- user, sure, suer, ruse, rues.
meeker - Oh man, I didn't even see that. Thanks for pointing it out. I'm writin' that one down too.
dunno the show - but its indeed good to know that the south europeans kept the genders completely separate. altho 'woman' could have something to do with the fact that 'man' comes from 'womb' rather than woman coming from man as in the western creation mythology. hmmm - leaves much for thought and speculation.
well, I'm throwing in the towel for the night. Good luck all. s been nice babblin with you all. good night.
Lilecama - I've never thought about man coming from womb. I'll mention it to my mom. She and I are both wordphiles.
marigold, are you playing today?
Rats, I only have 15 P words. :(
What's the on this sucker, again?
That would be, "What's the WORD COUNT on this sucker, again?"
At 06:54 am Lilecama said... about 220 words in this puzzle
i though someone posted like 207?
I have 7 A's
i have 2 and they're just random typings lol
just got my second d
kinda sad seeing as how i have 55 words
chaz are you playing?
I only have 9 S words:(
i have 5
I have 18 S's...3 SE's, 4SI's and 11SP's
Periwinkle - I'm here. Just found the A8 - thanks to everyone's clues.
chaz, have you found the 8 for 50. It starts with a T. There is a clue earlier in the log. If you get a 7 for 36 just add an S.
Periwinkle - I had the 7 letter T so thanks for the clue to get the 8! I'm at an alltime high personal score - though nowhere near as high as the total available points yet... Breaking for dinner shortly.
ok what's the t for 7? or rather a hint
tolinya, check shortseer's note at 9:25 am regarding the T words.
nope got that one
the other 7T is how you feel after a few too many drinks...
Isn't that tipsy ? Any clues for the j's? I have 4. Are all the others randoms ?
Is the other 7 T word start with the T on the bottom or top
I have 5 j words
I have 5 js now, 4 je and 1 jo
i've found 8 Js I would guess that dimwit is missing the ballet term, the denim fabric, and the chinese currency
ooh thanks, I have already got the denim, but I tried a ballet term and it didn't work - perhaps I spelt it wrong. I don't have chinese currency though - yet !
Hmmm You already had the fabric? Maybe you have something i dont have. The 8x J that i have are: 2 transports 2 mockings 1 ballet term 1 fabric 1 connection 1 currency PS I KNEW you didnt have the currency (that might be another clue for you)
i don't have the currency yet...isn't it weird that this doesn't take epis, but bialis are ok? and that someone who spies isn't an espier...
*espionart - espionage taken to another level.
Thanks shortseer for clues for the J words I found them. YEA!
I think my 8 j' are the same as yours. I should have remembered the currency from a week or two ago. Maybe I should compile a little self-help list of new words. Have you got a word like dimes that has no meaning ? Found that by accident.
espionart ... heh ... i like that. I'm annoyed it won't take jonah. It IS legit!!! jonah: n. a person believed to bring bad luck to those around him
i just went to http://www.xe.com/ucc/full.shtml and looked at 180 world currencies...still lost on the j. oof.
you know what would be great for this game? A listing of the words you've tried already.
@dimwit I've got quite a few words 'like dimes" ... but they all have meanings. @ 4t8 lol .. it might be faster to just do a bit of random typing seeing it's quite a short word and i might have let slip in a roundabout way what the 2nd letter was in an earlier post
Hey sleeky, my husband has that already ! I dunno why I don't get it on my desktop, but when he types in a word there is a dropdown box which shows all his tries !
shortseer, it is a d 6 for 27. Just add an extra letter somewhere in the middle...
i get the dropdown box too. maybe you don't get it if you've got cookies turned off?
I get the drop box too... you have to clear your forms in the internet options.
ww.ask.co.uk is good for currency help try "chinese money"
@ dimwit i have that it's a tithe, a tenth part (plural form) don't forget the singular too A tithe ... ahh ... that was in the bad old days when a tenth of your earnings went to the church or the lord of the manor. *considers current taxation rate* ... did i say the bad old days?
Ah, well it would help if the dictionary here had a meaning for it ! It suggest an acronmyn, but then wouldn't accept that when I typed it in ! Typical!
Still haven't got the tipsy t - any clues before I give up and go to bed ? (It's nearly dawn here - (Yawn))
if you are tipsy and drink a little more alcohol than you are ....?
could you be *more* tipsy? finally got the currency j! thank you dimwit, thank you shortseer.
Of course, good job I'm not or I never would have got that! Thanks all, nitey nite ! (and it wouldn't take those either!)
rohan is too a word!!
Started wayyy too late
