I cooked rotini for supper last night at it doesn't exist!
A slimming meal, then :)
cooking rotini is a great way to pasta some time
:)
not seeing anything - it's been a long day. Kids are up at the ski hill for 3 days, so I'll get to sleep in with no little voices asking me if I'm awake at 6:00 am
I pasta on the rotini but I love angel hair!
ah - but the rotini holds more garlic sauce :-)

i have seen the most incredible verbena. red flowers with cream/white stripes that makes the flowers look like little st4s.
ohhhh sounds so pretty!
btw, got another nail client! She comes this afternoon.
yay !! turning cartwheels on the floor !! how terrific.
I really really hope the word will spread and I will get more clients. I love doing it, it makes people so happy, and it is a lovely way to earn a little money

Rose, sweetie... when is your b'day again, and Don's? Am writing it down and am gonna add you all to my calendar.
I suck at b'days and am lost without my calendar... need to add you guys so I won't forget
Ha! That's my method! Without a calendar I'd never know!
:) glad I am not the only one
me 25th March. don 29th april
and rob's ??
do you know puglet's birthday, by any chance? And ruby's?
Rob is June 16th.
i have a birthday calendar. it has months and the dates. but no year.
i just have to remember to turn the page... loll
It's so weird for most of my life having a winter solstice birthday, then suddenly it's a summer solstice one! Confusing.
oh right! I can imagine that is very odd.
I still muddle seasons.
one year, we went to Swiss for our vacation and it actually snowed on my birthday. In July. So weird and lovely.
oh my...laughing so hard. beloved is siting around in just his jocks. i reminded him that his washing is on the line and asked if he was going to put something on. his answer.....
of course... i'm pujtting my slippers on
..... drumroll ...
roflolllllllllllllll good man, Don!
i hope our neighbour doesn't look out of her window. i would have to call the cardiac ambulance.
*giggles* Reminds me of a cabaret I once saw. She said: "I am so cold!" And he answers: "But you are wearing that lovely warm necklace!"
:)
lol, ro4 is in the grid, and also what she did with her lunch
hahahaha
fireflies. Nice grid, a few oddball words but not too many
Congrats
rose, if you happen to have pug's BD and ruby's, could you please email them to me? I want to complete my calendar. Oh, will email zooz too.
Morning all - happy solstice
Have a lovely day. Hugs.

Good point, well made :) In London, tomorrow is apparently 1 second longer than today
woot, woot...a whole second.... lolll
and dinner is ready. xoxox matty.
Have a lovely evening
Hello everyone :-)
Howdy Zooz! I am just about to shower :)
Nothing like a shower to freshen oneself!
Do you have the corner O by any chance?
And how come 'Baltic' is not allowed :-(
Oh I have just found the corner O.
Can you give me the stats? I haven't found it nor the N in the fourth column, fourth row, despite the fact I've found the 9 and 4 of the eights
OD 4/6
Oh god. I must have tried everything else. Sigh. I guess it shows I really do need a shower :)
Not got that far yet but had a look and it is NE 4/7
Again, how I missed that I do not know - and that word has been a few grids lately. I'm getting old.
OK off to shower - see you on the other side
Hope it is nice and hot for you, Matty. Feel refreshed and raring to find the words when you get back :-)
Good Solstice to all. The days get longer from here on out. Hooray for the return of the light.
And to you, Molly! Thank goodness. Summer is slowly but surely on its way back!
Phantom : Elastic.
So Zoom, what are your plans for the holidays?
Sister is going to cook us all a Christmas meal so Parents and I will be going round my sister's home for Christmas day. Then to parents home boxing day where I will cook a meal for everyone there. then after that back to normal routine :-)
How about your good self?
My clan gathers here on Christmas Day for a once a year treat, beef tenderloin dinner with all the trimmings. What are you cooking on Boxing Day?
It will be another Turkey dinner but as plain as possible for my parents as they can not handle anything too seasoned. And I also have to mash things up a lot and cut the meat really small so my father can eat it. We then put on our party hats and play charades as everyone loves that lol Sit down and watch only fools and horses (parents & mine ) favourite comedy. No alcohol as parents do not drink. But plenty of tea and other fizzy pops for the children.
The meal for everyone else I forgot to say is normal and not plain.
You are very considerate of your parents needs. I am sure they appreciate that.
I always do a Christmas pudding but not many people want that after the meal lol Although we all eat a chocolate gateaux/ gateau. Which does go down a treat.
My mother-in-law always did a Christmas pudding (Dad in law was a London man). There are many pictures of the Christmas pudding being lit at the table.
Yeah they do. I have great respect for my parents. Love them very much..even if i do not say it much lol
Yes We always do that...we turn the light off and I always put a 50p inside it too for goodluck....never seems to work though LOL
You are a very fortunate man with people in your life who love you a lot. I would say that is luck enough.
Very true, Molly. I hope that is the same for you too?
Absolutely. I am very blessed.
good to hear :-)
Good morning all
Hello, Sukee :-)
Hi zoo.
So many phantom words in here. Edibles, Mediates etc
Think I am almost in the PB for the ME word.
Was trying to work on yesterday's grid last night but my internet was jumping in and out, so frustrated. So I went to bed to read :)
So annoying when that happens sukee. Hope the book is a good one!
Ty zoo, I just saw the 8 and 9 :)
Did not mean to give out a clue..I typed the phantom word then saw those words after..oops But glad it helped though :-)
I didn't notice until you said that :)
It's all good :)
I tend to put my foot in it, Sukee. that is why most people stay away from babble when I am on LOL
Are you knee deep in snow yet?
Almost, and very cold.
Haven't had snow for a couple of days so the roads are clear.
Haven't had snow for a couple of days so the roads are clear.
Ah I see my post got lost in the babble freeze.
mine too lol. the last di 7 plz
I did say..Hope you saty warm, Sukee and well wrapped up. it is around 11c here and drizzly rain.
Haven't had snow for a couple of days so the roads are clear.
Stay8
That is good to hear.
Hello, Ivesy :-)
I'm managing to stay warm. Still fighting a bug though and staying home today.
good morning all.
Hi ivesy
The only Di7 I have is what stalin, hitler etc was.
but without the or on the end.
yes have that one too. the one after the plural of that is the one i dont have.
Ah just found one. Di + *****s oxide also known as laughing gas.
nice one :)
Can not give you a DEF as it does not have one..typical.
ty zoo!
Yeah I seem to have a mild cold, Sukee so been staying in so not to spread it. Glad you are staying warm, sukee.
Mine now lives in my sinuses, fighting it with my neti pot.
I do not think I could use one of those.
I didn't think so either but it's quite easy.
I think I would end up swallowing the contents..YUCK!
If I used it every day my sinuses would be great. But, of course, I don't.
I suppose it is rather time consuming?
Not really, less than 5 minutes. I use warm tap water but run it through a filter. Then I just empty a pre-mixed package into the water.
Oh I see..so you have to have a type of medicine to put through it. Not just warm water?
Do you have a clue for the o in the last column? That is all I need for nbt.
Zoom, they sell saline spray for your nose, which is very good when you have a cold. I don't think I could use a neti pot either.
Solution might be a btter word than medicine.
Yeah I could use a spray.
I use the saline spray sometimes too. It is faster. But the neti pot is good for more serious cleaning :)
I do have a spray that as aloe in it, nice if you have a sore throat.
od4/6
Ty DTins, got it :)
Aloe vera is supposed to be an amazing product it is used in so many products. from creams to sprays as you say, Sukee.
Sorry, Sukee i missed that call for a clue.
S'okay :) Got it.
Yay I am down to 34 words to find. did not realise until I just looked lol
Had to put something up to block my grey cat from getting behind the TV. He was checking it out right now :) He fits fine, I just don't want him to accidentally knock the TV over.
Not with all those wires that can gather behind these types of things.
This grid sure is a challenge. just as well I have no work to do until after Christmas :)
Quite a change from having a blind cat, these guys want to get everywhere.
Bet that feels nice knowing you have all this time to yourself, sukee!
It does. Going to a breakfast on Friday...hopefully.
Nice..A healthy brekkie or a good ole fry-up?
In between, probably bacon and pancakes and possibly a yogurt parfait.
Nice compromise!
This place is attacked to a senior's centre where I work out. So, they don't go all out :)
I'd be all about bacon and pancakes. Yogurt, not so much.
I would go for bacon, mushroom, sausages, tomato, beans, fried egg and some tost.
Yes, I'm always up for bacon :)
I would love a good old-fashioned British fry up, with some black pudding.
I nearly threw myself into the PB again!
Ooo, Zoom's breakfast sounds good.
Well, at home I could have chicken bacon, mushroom, beans, an egg and toast.
lol, and I did it :)
The best of it is I never put weight on. But not sure about the cholesterol levels though lol
So you did!
Hello
Hi Ruby.
Hello, ((Ruby))
All those breakfasts sound wonderful
Oh no I hate black pudding, sukee. Even the smell of it makes me gag.
I read that being cold makes you burn calories; I thought so, but hadn't read itt before
Would make sense, Ruby. Thr body needs to pump more blood round to keep you warm.
For breakfast today, I will probably have oatmeal. Exciting.
I Love big breakfasts, but I'm too tired in the AM to make them -- especially French toast, pancakes, sausages, eggs
I had a few honey sandwiches and a cup of tea lol
Oh, French toast sounds good.
I used tto eat oatmeal but developed a terrible allergy about 4 years ago.
Anyway, have to run for a sec, will bb
It's off getting allergies at my age!!
How is your weather doing, Ruby?
Take care, Sukee :-)
It's cold and looks like snow
bye Sukee
Not good then :-(
oodd* nor off
They keep saying there is a storm on the way here for Christmas day.
I think you can get allergies at any age, Ruby.
gm, everyone, may i have a clue for the di7/32?
Di + *****s oxide otherwise known as laughing gas.
Hello, Dawg :-)
HI IBD
Back
Wow that was quick!
We are supposed to be getting snow on Christmas Day and rain on Boxing Day
Hi Ibd
I said for a sec :)
hello, ruby and zooz and sukee! tadone!
People here in the UK seem to be obsessed about having snow on Christmas day.
Had an overwhelming desire to check my bank balance :)
Congrats, Dawg!
Have to get some snacks in for Christmas Eve and Dr. Who on Sunday.
ty for the clue, zooz! and now i must be off to get ready for work.
Have a great day, Dawg. And nice to see you :-)

Does Crossy ever come here in the mornings any more?
I have not seen Crossy here for a long time now.
I haven't seen Crossy in a very long time!
... haven't seen him for a long time ...
I assumed he was busy with being a teacher assistant I think he is.
Probably, he posts on facebook occasionally.
... checking his score in the "who's hot" in the rankings it looks like he's been here only twice or three times in the past month
Looks like I am hot lol Never heard anyone say that to me though LOL
<-- used to be hot, about 100 years ago
((Ruby)) I was never hot even from birth :-)
I'm lukewarm :)
hahah
It is the personality that counts in my book.
I think I was hotter as a teen than I thought I was :)
Now I'm freezing and still don't have that lower n. It must be a babblet or a foreign currency....
NE 4/7
NE, means one born a serf.
Sounds like knife.

Thank you for that!

and the Ps are down...
Okay, I have to go get breakfast. This will be a longer break. 100 left to go. Have a great day if I don't talk to you all again.
Take care, Sukee :-)

Have a grand day, Doseffing!
Finally found a compound word!

Hello, Pen :-)
Welcome, ChampFit :-)
hi annie, zooz....
Just popping in & out from jigidi puzzles :-)
do u ever put up puzzles on jigidi
is that at jigidi.com?
enjoy doing their puzzles
i do puzzles on the ipad, but i would like to do ones with more pieces and a bigger screen....
yes - jigidi.com
i will check it out...
i learned about jigidi here on babble
years ago i had bought a puzzle game for the computer....you put together smaller and smaller pieces to make a puzzle and there was a mystery imbedded in the puzzle with clues.....i had 4 or 5 different ones....they were a lot of fun....
I do have some on there yes. but not put any new ones on for a while now.
Any hints for de7/8/8 - just can't see them
yes, i remember crossy talking about it, i think...
To let the air out, Alleyn.
Alleyn - what happens when a tire goes bad
don't have DEs - but will help look
is it to take the air out of something??
Thank you so much!
My puzzle user name is : zoomzoom
Do you have any on there Pen or Teach?
i don't....i haven't been there in a few years....i play Magic Puzzles on the iPad...
yes, i have a very few - use wvteach
I put wvteach in but nothing came up.
Oh sorry found you :-)
Put wrong letter in lol
Oh yes I must of been on yours before, Teach, as it says I did your quilt photo :-)
i also checked and i had done several of yours - the quilt is one that our church makes every year as a fund raiser - raffle one off every year
Nice prize to get!
they are beautiful quilts - just raffled off this year's two weeks ago
halfway, NBT and NBS - time for breakfast break
i just joined....guess i played there as a guest before....i am penquis there....
I have me5,6,7 and me8,9 what am I missing?

Another ME6
ME 6/27
thanks zooz :)
I will look out for your puzzles then, Pen.
i bookmarked you and wv... ;o)
It is after the ME9, Mael if that helps.
There is a puzzle on there that has the words. ' I finally figured out what I want to be when I get older.....Younger' LOL
lol
can someone please give me STATS for the fifth column O?

OD4/6
ty...
i just finished the last Montreal bagel i had in the freezer from my trip to Canada in October... :o(
and gm zooz, mael, pen, Annie et al...
Hello, Montreal :-)
good morning, montreal
I just saw the ba4/9 and ba6/36 haha
morning!
guess you came back with quite a few then pen ?
It is a sick word, Mael!
well i brought back 7 dozen but only 2 dozen for myself....my family would not speak to me anymore if i had not brought them bagels... ;o)
understood pen :-)
NYC bagles also have a good reputation, don't they ?
yes, but they are too bready for me...
May I ask a silly question about bagels.
?
sure...
Why do they have a hole in them?
ok - so you'll be back here for more then ?
why do doughnuts have holes?... ;o)
well i hope to talk my brother into going to Montreal with me this summer.....we can stay with my cousin....
when it comes to donuts, i prefer the Boston: no hole !
Was going to say the donuts i eat do not have a hole in them lol
i want your doughnuts, zooz....
The donut has a whole in the middle so the dough will cook as evenly as the outside.
I did google that one :-)
I suppose that is the same for the bagel then.
perhaps that is also true about bagels...
I suppose I donut the answer to the question for sure :-)
lol zooz !
Ha...just got a Christmas card delivered by the mail lady and it is addressed to Scotland! Which is over 500 miles away!!
Amazing!

How could the person not READ that !
Take care, Montreal :-)
hi and bye hego - real poof
bye montreal!
i once lived in a town called Dover-Foxcroft here in Maine....i received a piece of mail that said my name and Dover-Foxcroft, USA.....it was from France, so I guess they tried harder to deliver it....
Now I will have to wait in and try to catch the post lady tommorow and give it her back.
can't you just leave it in your postbox?
Wow, Pen! what are the chances of someone having the same name living in a same named town but different country?
please, need clue for last word - me6/24
well the mail was sent to me on purpose.....just didn't have a real address or the name of my state.....i think the name of the town was so distinctive that someone looked it up...
Well I thought that, Hego, but I can not put 'noot at this address on it' as it was not delivered to the address t was supposed to be. My address is totaly diferent to what is on the card ev=nvellope.
don't have it mub sorry

Good morning, all!
mornin, judi
Ah, there is life in Babble!
hello, all :-)
Okay. Found the 9. One little success at a time.
Clue for the 9?
Hello, all
Me9: Ohmmmmm.
thnx!
lol judi good clue
:-) No pesky sentences from me.
lol
It just isn't Christmas until Mona Lisa has her Santa hat on
hee hee
Surprised there's no mistletoe over her head... the little tramp.
she is quite the ho . . . . ho ho :-)
lol, une!
we had a lot of ohmmmmmmm in yesterdays clues!!
Enlightenment during Me9: OhmmmmMG!
Villa Antinoril, Italian home of the real Mona Lisa, is currently on the market for $24 million! :-)
oh is that all?
Maybe Madonna will buy it. She certainly has the Euro for it.
Someone should snap it up. The Italians need the $$.
"Rotini" is not inthe dictionary?
44 to go .. . . BBL :-)
no rotini OR crostini
They are wrong. We are right.
julia roberts could buy it, she starred in Mona Lisa Smile
isn't there a savoury biscuit in US called a sa4.4 -ini?
oden
no, almost - sa4ine
And there is nothing savory about a sa4ine
sorry about that luckily it was wrong!
True. They are mostly just tasteless, dry cracker with sa4.
And it's not a biscuit it's a cracker. But other than that, yeah.
If you really want tasteless, go for the rice cakes. As Bill Cosby said "the air in my mouth tastes better than this"
Brits call crackers "crisps" and cookies "bisquits". Those cheeky, charming buggers!
even the rice cakes "with flavor" are not that tasty
The Brit phrase that kills me is "digestive biscuit". It sounds like something brown you would see floating in the toilet.
Yeah. They used to hand out Saltines for free - or in war-time rations. Shocking that people now actually pay money for them.
I actually love saltine crackers
Proof that aliens live among us.
Um Judi, people pay money for water and dirt. Why not Saltines?
Either that or you have been brainwashed, MLF>
True, Molly. Americans will buy ANYTHING.
ea6?
no we call cookies biscuits because word comes from French meaning cook twice! We call French fries chips and chips crisps - and crackers crackers
Thank you for that clarification, Deeha.
I have not heard chip crisps but I knew French fries are called chips
what is wrong with salty and crispy?
I fo realise I stRTED THIS SALRTINE ARGUMENT-I JUST DROPPED A PEBBLE INTO THE POND!!!
This is an argument?
its just chat deeha
Not an argument. A global discussion.
Didn't mean all the capitals hit the caps button by mistake!
Man, you really have to tread lightly in this place.
I know I wAS JUST JOKNG
Educational, really.
lol deeha we could read it anyway
did it again!
I love crackers in general so ...
ea6?
made money
ty deeha
In8, please?
good question judi
I don't have it either
Pretty sure it starts with the "charged with a crime" word.
Hello everyone
Found it. One who does the charging.
ah yes
hi car
Wait, statin isn't a word either? When was the last time this thing was updated?
Anyone have the first Di8?

Have that one, Samantha.

Apple. Local brand. Willie Smiths. Just posted a photo on facebook on how to study

I also am awaiting on a bottle of Whisky Cider. Last one in Vic
the bottle looks more interesting than the book ;-)
The book is dead boring
I bet -- must be for class, then?
Forensic Science
You take such interesting courses.
This will likely kill all my brain cells. I don't do science
wish I were there, I would be your study buddy!
I have a friend who is a Dr of Genetics something something. You could hold my hand and explain it to me like I was 4 and I may still not get it
oh... I see. Well, I would still try. I love science, just didn't focus on it when I was young. My students are constantly amused by how excited I get about the various things we study in third grade!
