Oh, thankyou! And a related 6 for 48. Now I have 74 words too, but only 956 total so I must be missing some other longish ones. I have three 7s now, and eight 6s.

There's another 33 in between the 48 and the 18

That 6 jumped right out at me. It's funny how easy they are to find sometimes once you know they're there.

Boo, I can't access the word lists (I use a browser, not a computer), and that word is driving me crazy. Another thing driving me crazy is that bloomin' 6/33, tucked between the 48 and the 18.... aaargh.

The nine letter N from yesterday is nearshore - certainly a new word for me. And I can't find that 6 for 33 either.
I think I had NEARSHORE, yesterday?? but I've never heard of a detergent named that - it's not in teh Los Angeles area, I'd guess.

The tiles need to add up to 11, that means we must use the H and the C and four singles....

From the list on the right, you can see how many points the tiles add to... for a seven lette word, divide by 4.... Now, a sheepish word - meadows or sleep, hmmm.
ok Im stuck on 74 and 944
jayferg--taking a 6/33 for example, you divide by 3 coz it's a 6-letter word, leaving 11 points' worth of letters. So some of the letters are going to be worth one, but others have to give you the extra six points. It can help you know where to look.

Anyone have a clue for the first 6x33?
That first 6 is a plural of a 5 for 20. It's apparently something to do with meat. (or do what I did and try a possible letter on a 4 for 9, and then make it plural!) I'm puzzled by the 10 Fs. I have 9 of them. One fr-, three fat-, five fan-. I can't see any other possible starting combinations, and I've tried those ones in a2zwordfinder thinking I was missing one, but can't see anything I hadn't thought of. Clues??
Kukana: At this point, I have only 53 words, but can offer the following hint. The missing F is not among the F's beginnings that you listed. Think Scandanavian! (anything more specific would be a giveaway).

Parsec...u r assuming Daisy can add. Based on the statistics she posted, the total was 83, not 84. If you add your c & t words, that makes 85.
I have 7xA 7xC 2xD 3xE 10xF 17xH 2xI 2xJ 4xN 1xO 7xR 11xS 9xT which is 82 words for 1052 points. According to stats posted throughout the log, I'm missing 2xA, 1xN and 1xS, so 4 words, which will make 86 if I can find them all.
Hmmm - Now I can't find anywhere where anyone posted having 9xA, so maybe I'm only missing 1xA for 85 words total. Hmmm . . .

You are missing an HO. It is an archaic form meaning the same as your 5 letter HO.
Now can you help me with A words? ;) I'm missing a 5-letter A word. I have one that is a very common word for 16 points, and another that is a plural for 10 points.

the third is an odd one I found by entering random letters that sounded like words... but it is second alphabetically.

The third E is a geographical name that should be a proper noun.
It is a proper, geographical name, but it is also a small cooking apparatus, which would not be capitalized.

jayferg -- The two you are most likely missing . .. 1 has no def in the dictionary but is common on the grids (I only enter it b/c I've seen it before) think of the sound a snake makes but put a weird letter at the end 2 think of an abbreviation for a college course of past world events

I have the Hebrew letter. Not sure about the kingly word -- one word I have is a coin and also used in the East for 'person of authority, esp captain of a ship' . . . but that's the closest to 'kingly' on my list. But DH just got home and I'm being sent to bed for my own good ;-D After all, tomorrow is another grid . . .
