Yes, a year ago the late autumn was brutally cold (for us, below 20F for many days in a row), but this year although I think overall colder in the winter a lot less extreme. And there has been a real snow day and a late start due to the snow for the first time in the several years I have been teaching.
Our last dump was a snowfall of 11" the day before yesterday.
