hi
do we do 7's even if there are 8's and a 9?
usually, yes
re7x2
se7
en7&8
co7
so i had a real weird day today
(by which i mean friday)
hi everyone - en 7 x2
hi Nan
x3
i was meant to take this test today that i need to proceed in my new career path, and i'm at the testing center and have written 3 essays and most of a 4th, and the power goes out. and they say we can leave/reschedule, or wait and see if it comes back; the server will have saved our work.
hour later, power comes back, but then we find out, actually, after half an hour, some central authority decided that this testing center was now closed for the day, and we HAVE to reschedule and start over with a new version of whichever test we were taking.
tx nan
hursh nooooo
which was pretty annoying as i had done good work and now i pretty much have to waste a whole other day that i really can't afford to waste in doing this again
en7 x 4
that is the pits hurshy but no doubt you will do even more fabulously on your second go!
and then, the other weird thing was, this evening i learned that one of my uncles was carjacked on wednesday, by a murderer who had killed 2 people on saturday and was trying to avoid the police, but he didn't just take the car, he made my uncle go with him, tied him up. after 3 hours of driving my uncle escaped when the guy had tied him a bit looser and then gone into a liquor store to buy more beer, leaving him in the car. he was all over the local news. they caught the guy today, several states away.
good lord!!!!
now, i do have a larger than average number of uncles, but still.
but i hope the dude accepts a plea deal quickly, otherwise i suppose my uncle will have to do lots of testifying and stuff, since the guy confessed the murders to him and his motive and everything.
omg what a story
or is that hearsay? are you not allowed to testify that a criminal confessed a crime to you, if you didn't see the crime?
that sounds like hearsay but not really sure
You can surely testify to what he said - but not that he was telling the truth!
Clues are up
well i mean, he was already a suspect in the crime, the police were looking for him and had caught the second suspect already.
125 - long day - gnite all :-)
so it's not like, "WHAT? HE did it?"
thanks lickety
and i presume there will be physical evidence
Thanks Lickety
must be some evidence and anyway they have got him on kidnapping if nothing else
yes, he can definitely testify what happened to him, but that is my point, i don't WANT him to have to be dragged through long, drawn-out court stuff. he's already taking care of my aunt full time, she has ALS.
Poot uncle but I think he will have to spend sometime in court. I was on a jury once and the poor witnesses really suffered, I felt sorry for them
Poor!
did anyone call the 8s or 9? i have 6 7s but no 8s.
*crash -- good night everyone
there was an en8 called
Co 8/9
ty got the en 8.
not seeing co 8 or 9 i assume 9 is plural.
krod
oops osrry. not a word anyway
yes it is
Plural, I mean
you mean krod? not a word accordig to game dict.

ty for the co clues
Ruby, Ruby, scooby-dooby, how does your garden grow?
An inch a day, A pinch away, from colors bright and gay!
Hello Molly
Ah Spring verse. What a breath of fresh air.
The new flowers will be a mystery as I don't remember what was put where; I basically handed the bulbs to the handyman and pointed
At least I know the colors are in "my" range
Oh but that is fun. You will be surprised every time one blooms.
Ruby's Mystery Garden...it sounds like a children's book. : D
There'll be new tulips, lilies, allium
That's funny. I've made 2 attempts at writing children's books but without success.
I'm short the singleton o for nbt. Any ideas?
I like the idea of a mystery garden. If I can ever afford land of my own, I will plant one.
This is my first garden and it's been wonderful watching it's evolution these 18 years.
Not sure about the o...or4?
Not what you mine, but the other one.
Lots of mistakes, though, in tthe original plantings and in "handyman or husband mishaps".
Oh my, I remember some of the handyman or husband mishaps. Chop chop.
I had beautiful blue thistles, 5 had become around 20, and the handyman thought they were weeds and removed them
And I "weeded" Japanese iris, not recognizing their leaves
A friend gave me lavender and blackish iris, divided fromhers, several years ago, but the black ones never flowered, just leafed up
That is too bad. Japanese iris are beautiful.
I love them; sometimes they have them in the supermarket
There's an iris garden in Paris, adjacent to tthe Jardin de Plantes, that I've only seen once, but it had every possible color of iris in clusters in a relatively small space. I've never seen anythign like it!
That sounds very pretty.
It was magic!
Howdy all. Does anyone have stats for the lone O in the fourth column, third row?
I think it was in June, many years ago
I think it is or4 not what you mine
Hi Matty, that's what I'm missing, too
good morning all
probably or 4,5.
I can't find it
hi Sprite
*hugs ruby*
or + what comes before "re mi"
got it, ty
Thank you. Hi Sprite :)
all goals met, off to the pharmacy
*hugs matty*
kors
We saw the Wessex Pistols last night (loads of pics on FB though you'd have to become friends to see them) and we're off to Fairport Convention tonight
sounds good
my love and I are gonna go to the cinema tonight. John Wick 2. Hope it is fun.
just in from dinner out AGAIN. {{hugs}} sprite, cooee matty
*hugs rose* Hello my dear friend! What a treat that you are on line now.
nearly 11:30pm here. have to up and running again in less than 9 hours. *groan*
ugh :( I hope you had a wonderful time though
Hiya Rose!
friend of don's was celebrating his birthday. lovely time, loads of peeps we know were there too.
ah, great! Glad you enjoyed yourself.
I had a splendid day of family constellations again yesterday. Beautiful processes.
tummy very full, i think i'll skip brekky in the morning as the vicar is putting on crepes after the service.
If I were the vicar, I'd put on clothes. Preaching wearing pancakes might excite comment
so glad sprite. you are always so on top of things after family constellations.
hahahaha matty.
inspiring and invigorating, FM days :) Hm, never skip brekkie, hun. At least eat a dry cracker.
I think the vicar hopes Don will eat the crepes from her ummmm.... back?
i have had my meds and don is looking at me...glass of milk will have to do it sprite. *giggle* oh dear my mind pics are terrible...
hugs and kisses to you both. ttfn.
yeah they are. I hate picturing a back full of crepes with a glass of milk over it. What a waste of a good ba.... ummmm of good crepes
night night sweetie. Be good. Not too good though ;)
78 left. I feel a list coming on...
lol :)
I've hit a wall...
I know that feeling
I bet half the grid is CO
There are quite a few
The 43 c's in the middle are all co
so half is CO, a quarter is EN and K and RE, and the rest are words.
Oh that is not right, but there are 43 co words
they so need to invent a sarcasm font
of course that wouldn't help me in babble, since we cannot pick our own fonts :(
And using ((sarcasm)) somehow deflates the comment : D
*grins* True, dat
back later, hagd all!
Seesya!
coos
oops
Grant does not pass GO. Grant does not collect two hundred dollars. : D
good morning
....I actually looked for "oops"!
back.
back.
It is beutiful outside, warmer than in the house.
good morning ruby. unseasonably warm here as well
hoping the last of the snow will melt
I thouse (just leaves,so far) fur stopped at 80!ried to count the flowers coming up in front of the
I am not sure if things are coming up here or not - haven't really done the outside round yet today.
My laptop garbled what I wrote! I tried to count the flowers coming up next to the steps to the sttreet, but lost count at 90! They'rre just leaves still
I'm taking care of my mum while car.eeyore and her family are on a short mini break
I have some tulips coming up and my boss showed me a picture of cherry blossoms blooming in her neighborhood. Hooray for early Spring!
This is my favorite time of year
Well deserved break for Car. Caring for elderly parents is not an easy job.
always a bit of a shock when the snow melts and the dog poop museum is revealed
not even remotely, molly
hahah
My dogs are very discreet; they poop only in the bushes and never when I can see them
"Mystery poopers"
mine...isn't.
I have to laugh when I see people walking their dogs with bags full of dog poop. I remember when dogs could go where they wanted to and people just stepped around it.
but we have more people now, and thus more dogs, and thus more poop. I have no issue with people being considerate of others.
Oh I don't have an issue with it. It just looks funny to see people carrying bags of dog poop.
Mine never poop in the street. The male just marks
lol ruby - as does mine. every. five. feet.
oh my goodness - just heard on tv that the Grey Gardens house is for sale!
What breed is your dog, Trif?
half german shepherd, half lab
all foolishness....but a great big giant heart full of joy
Smart and affectionate, I imagine
affectionate, all day. Dumb as a box of rocks. but oh, the love!!!!
My firl is like a huge cat in a fur coat, very independent, affectionate when she decides.
lololol huge cat in a fur coat.....
awesome image
The boy is my protecttor, guards me and the house, is very wary of men
indy couldn't guard a thing! would lick them to pieces, that's about it
Morning, nice to wake up and read about dog poop
sorry bichon....
When Rufe isn't happy his fur stands up and he looks really scary. I don't know if he'd ever bite anybody
we aren't keeping it classy....
As long as it's not in the house, Bichon
the family that bought Grey Gardens paid $220,000 in 1976. It is on sale for just under $20 million. Not a bad appreciation rate!
and Hello
This place is at it's funniest when it reverts to the "not so classy" : D
agreed, molly. god help us all on days when a certain 4 letter word is in the grid...someone ALWAYS puts it in the chog by accident.
My classy dogs make classy poop
my non classy dog cranks it out like a playdoh fun factory on steroids
Mine makes smelly
I've missed that, Trif
How big is he?
Clifford. he is Clifford.
my dog likes to back up to a wall or tree, one time at the dog park he hung a big one on the sign that says "pick up after your pets"
he was the most impossibly tiny puppy you have ever seen. barely four pounds when we got him. his mother died when he was five weeks old, so he was an emergency placement with us. and then....he grew. and didn't stop.
mubner, that is too funny! I SWEAR some of them can read
That is very funny, what kind of dog?
<---Can't wait to see what "dog habit" is next up for discussion : P
Then there was the time he backed up to a coffee can (that was used for ashtray), another time he backed up to a gallon water jug - somehow he got it centered over the hole, I was pretty embarrassed cleaning that one up.
that's a talented dog!
I had one who ate his own poop
He sounds like a comedian
Rufus is a mixed terrier, one brown and one blue eye
Ding! Ding! We have a winner!
My second chow was named Rufus
hello all
'morning folks - what a convo!
the poop eating dog was Cupcake
i had a basset hound named rufus
morning welki
my dog is also talented in eating every single thing in the house. Clickers, books, batteries, anything - it doesn't matter. he will eat it.
self sustaining dog, bichon - never have to buy dog food!
Bich, I had one of those too...she loved it when we took her to be boarded and saw the poop "yard", she didn't even bother to say goodby or look anxious
mub was it a cairn poo?
<-- loves "dog chat"
we're down to only one dog, a golden retriever
No, the famous poop eater was a Pug
I guess Rufus and Max are common dog names
4th column lone o?
Poor Cupcake lived in his crate as a small puppy. When we got him we had to "unlearn" him of these bad habits. He never was totally "all right"
theory - in a life, each of us may own several dogs. I think though maybe one is ....the one. the dog you never forget. I know the dog love of my life was my St. Croix dog, Diggity. I miss him every single day. Always will.
or4 mlf
begins as a it ends
i miss them all (but i get what you're saying)
Rufus was brought to Phoenix from Chile, his owner had to put him into rescue when she had a baby - Rufus was so bonded and overprotective to his owner, I'm sure it broke her heart
thanks trif
5th column e?
no problem at all
I've thought that, too, Trif, but the feeling gets renewed. I've had 7 chows over the yearse and 3 have been my "all-time favorites" but I never forget any of them
eg4 - trump has a huge one
lol trif ty
nbt
that's actually a great comfort, ruby. I miss my diggity so much.
way to go mlf!
but the other one is probably tiny!
I had one very great dog. I agree trif
thanks trif
hahahhaha - I dont' want to picture it - AT ALL - but I suspect you are right
hi ruru
hi, ru - your monty
you all have to go to the penalty box
Did you see the Orange Monster statue that was put up briefly in NY?
I wonder if it is orange too ruby?😀

Yesterday, on the news, somebody called him Atgebt Orange
agent*
I have two favorite names for him: Il douche, (with accent on the e) and Lord Dampnut, an anagram
I like orangejulius caesar
I had a dog named Buttons because of her eyes
careful kids! we might all get called "morons"
But nobody can call us fake!
well, there is some comfort in that, ruby
is it co 7,8,9 combo?
Wow, Lord Dampnut...I must remember that one.
And even a 5 to start the serie, MLF
I just want to call him "former"

I only have one ci 7/8 combo
can someone please help with the 9??????
That doesn't end in a double consonant, it ends in a double vowel, hence the confusion
there are 2 ci7's
ty, that's certainly an alternate spelling
mixi the one I have is a pl
it is a pl. molly
molly I said both but corrected it as ending in double vowel
Yes, it is a plural, I was referring to the singular.
the 9 is a plural.
that's co 9, right mixi?
mixi clue pls?
I need the se7,32 after the se4,4
co - building with multiple dwellings + I would be **a*y of this definition.
Use the se4 to start - then add the spy agency but change the last letter

name that proper noun! spouse of Mindy
scrambled eggs and chicken apple sausages anyone?
is nobody here but you and me, ru? i'm vegetarian, would have the eggs if you can guarantee they are from humanely treated chickens. :)
I'll take some!
those are the only types of eggs I buy hursh
I am here, but lurking as usual. eggs and sausages sounds great!
straight from a small farm?
what if the sausages came from vegetarian chickens :D
small local farm.. chickens run free there
actually, even before i went veg, i never LIKED sausage, so, that one would always have been a no.
cool thanks can i get some toast with those eggs then? :)
oh.. I like chicken apple sausages
I once made the mistake of reading the ingredients in sausage. I couldn't eat it for a long time after that.
just arrived! Sausages were the first meat things I gave up!
even the roosters are a bit loose and shy at this farm.. and they're sorta hen-pecked
i never liked bacon either... go figure
yeah, I like bacon but rarely eat it
I won't eat hot dogs however
I love bacon, but don't have it often
ham i liked. pork, like in chop or loin, not until i discovered that it did not HAVE to be dry as a desert like my mom cooked it...
my mom way overcooked pork too.. I never liked it until I started going out to restaurants
did our moms just do that cause they were terrified of bacteria, or what?
I am the same with salmon. Hated it till I discovered it didn't have to be cooked till it was like shredded wheat!!
i mean, my mom is not a good cook at all, of anything, so, there's that too
triconosis (sp.? ) I think
my mom was a terrible cook
thank god my grandma taught me how to cook
the end of this grid is very frustrating
finally, i find someone else whose mom was a terrible cook! so few people understand that experience
all our vegetables were an overcooked mess
all our food was unseasoned
My mum died when I was a little. Luckily my dad was a great instinctive 'chuck-it-in' cook that taught me a lot
oh.. ours was too salty
My mom was a good cook - nothing exciting, but good
it'd be like, plain broiled chicken, baked potato, veg.
my grandmother taught me how to cook when I was 5 and six believe it or not.. simple stuff to start
oh i believe it, i love watching Masterchef Jr!
I had to cook for me and my brother on weekends when my folks were in Reno gambling
o dear
i at least had my dad, making pancakes on saturday mornings
I am back
No matter who you learn to cook from, cooking food is a wonderful thing. To me, there is nothing better than a home with the smell of something good cooking in it.
name that proper noun! the Lost lady that the Raven narrator was dreaming of
Lenore
ding ding ding!
I am totally grossed out by the people I work with who eat microwave food for lunch every single day.
well molly.. that's high up on my list too .. but there are other things better than that to me :D
Ah yes, but you still believe in things I gave up on a while ago. No matter, and good for you.
I gave the microwave that came with the house to my pet-sitters free
personally i'm a fan of a cozy house with a crackling fire in the fireplace with a heavy snowfall preventing you from going anywhere
Frozen microwave meals cooking smell like dirty socks.
but there could be food cooking in the cozy house TOO
Personally, I could do without a heavy snowfall and live the rest of my life a happy person.
Hurshy me too
that's probably cause you want to go places then, molly
our next door neighbor couldn't live without a microwave being as it is that he has 4 or 5 kids(dult children) himelf and a wife
No, not really. I just hate cold weather and ice and snow.
Hurshy do you have a real fireplace?
phantom: rococo
If you have a big family it is better to cook a pot of REAL food than microwave frozen stuff.
yes, and no. i still own a place that has one, but currently reside in a place that does not.
depends on how busy you might be and the ages of the children etc
I am always busy but not too busy to make a decent meal. It's all about priorities.
hurshy don't have a fireplace where i am either and i miss having one. i want a real fireplace not electric or gas..and one that you can actually use lol
my family used to sit together and eat dinner but as we (my siblings and i) got older that changed
go 5/14?
i pulled a peri never mind
i can honestly say I've never used a microwave .. can't stand them
It is unfortunate that families do not sit down at the table and share a meal anymore.
agreed molly
name that proper noun! hobbit of fame
Frodo
ding ding ding!
(I found all these proper nouns before and was sure Hursh would ask about them)
well you can play TOO silly!
The only other one I saw was beautiful actress Sophia and that is just too easy
ah, i think i saw more at the flip, let me think
there's a vice president
and massage therapist abuser :D
well there's forest moon but i don't usually ask that because it appears often and is also easy
the vp who counts as a real word? can't use them for NTPN if they count as a real word
co 7/36's are they both pl?
molz i think you came in a little after i asked one that nobody answered
spouse of mindy
i miss him
mork
ding ding ding!
name that proper noun! british actor and late night tv show host James
that's past my bed time
i don't watch his late night show, i just know he has it
i know him from his 2 eps of doctor who, which are some of the best
hello all. I do not own a microwave either
co 7/36's are they both pl?
yAYAAAAAA I found the 9
congrats ruru
stats pls ruru
co9/66 peri
ty looking
co/9/66
I doubt I will find it
People don't cook food anymore, they microwave frozen things. People don't brew coffee anymore. They go to Starbucks or make that awful pod stuff. People don't spell anymore, they abbreviate.
i had to get clues and it took me forever to find it
i used morewords and finally got it along with a clue
(thinks Molly should move to Amish country) :D
<---drinks the pod stuff and loves it so does hubby
my husband says the same thing people don't cook anymore
I don't drink pod coffe..
coffee that is
I brew mine.. what's the big deal about making a pot of coffee for people?
we didn't used to until my mother bought a machine for us we are sticking to the store brands as they are cheaper for now
true ruru, hubby and i drink a lot of coffee
As tea drinkers, we buy loose tea and brew it into a tea maker
i have co 7/36 that is a pl i need a clue for the other one with the same stats please?
the pod machines are great in a work setting though ... no more coffee club crap and everyone gets what they want
cord
sorry
that's cool bichon. what type of tea? green, black, white?
true bichon
acid action, mlf
black. Mr Bich also drinks herbal, but not I
i like earl grey and black currant together
black isn't good to drink in the long run though bichon
broil acid action?
I love earl gray. Have not tried black currant
Pod coffee is great for people who like weak coffee
I'd rather drink it than coffee.
I have en8 and co8/9. help with last 8 pls
I'm a tea drinker and love earl grey
I drink Earl Grey, Dargeelin and Assam
molly? weak coffee no because of the way its brewed it is actually stronger coffee
which is also why i love the pod coffee
bichon what is assam tea?
yes, add some letters to bichon's recent mispost
No, it is actually not stronger coffee because of the way it is brewed. A short blast of water through less than half a tablespoon of coffee. Weak.
my husband explained to me how it works which is why it is stronger however the store bought versions don't seem to be as such compared to the more expensive
aah.. the c's are killing me
i second that ruru
can someone provide stats for the lone o?
or4 ori
Decent, strong coffee is brewed slowly over a good grind of coffee. Pod coffee makers don't come close to doing that.
thanks ru
Good afternoon, Babblers!
Hi Judi
How are you feeling Judi, any improvement?
Seen on a T-shirt this morning: Front: "America Was Never Great"; Back: "Unapolgeticaly Black Gun Club".
I felt like saying, "Thanks for being part of the problem, jackass". I restrained myself.
co 7/36, last one, pls
Why do people feel the need to state their preferences on t-shirts, license plates or (ick) Facebook?
(does that include a preference for all things Doctor Who?)
Of course, if I confronted this t-shirt wearing person to say his t-shirt offended me, I would probably be the one labled "racist".
(puts out sedatives for Judi for after babble)
No sedatives required.
No Judi, we all got labeled "racist" when we didn't think Obama was the right President. Because that couldn't have been because we thought he was an ineffective boob.
Pffth. I always say, if you think America is so bad, just leave.
Go to the country you most admire.
Fair warning: You probably won't be able to wear a t-shirt like that.
(that's starting to sound racist now :D )
I keep waiting for all those people who say they will leave if _____ to leave. So far, they are still here and still bitching.
I don
I don't care what color the guy was who was wearing the shirt. And only the front of it offended me. Wonder what would happen if I wore a t-shirt like that, only the front said, "Africa Was Never Great", or "The Black Panthers Were Never Great". I'd be chased down the street and beaten to a pulp.
or worse Judi.. you might be forced to listen to Rap music
<--- now sounding racist too
<--- admits to being extremely racist towards orange people
Yeah, rap music with lyrics like, "F the police". But, we live in a country where it seems only white people can be called racist. Everyone else gets a free pass to offend.
I get offended by rap music in general.. it's so hateful and misogynistic
This might even be more interesting than dogs!
I just woke up after sleeping for 3 hours
Hiya, Ruby!
I don't get the orange people comment
spray on tan people molly.. like our president
i hate this grid.. i'm getting nowhere
lol. Yeah, I'm pro Trump, but the spray tan has to go.
it's sort of hideous on him.. makes him look creepy
"Racist" is a word that gets thrown around for effect.
He should be able to get a natural tan on the golf course. And I'm sure he gets make-up before every press appearance.
co 7/36, last one, pls
The only Co7 I have is the birds of prey.
think the combover is worse!
Gotta agree with that too, Deeha.
it is such a drag to lose hair on top though.. I'm getting thinner upstairs
Hats, hair transplants. It's all available and he can certailnly afford the hair transplant.
finally closed out the m's.. i think i have to list soon
You would think Melania would be nagging him to death about it.
