November 9, 2015, my husband of 44 years peacefully left this world for a better home in heaven. He was diagnosed with stage 4 colorectal cancer on July 9, 2015. He had rapid radiation, (a week of daily radiation) and started chemo one week later. We thought he was progressing until a significant wound appeared and at that time he no longer could take the chemo. I miss him greatly and can honestly say that I hate cancer with a passion that knows no bounds. My prayers are with everyone fighting this battle and their caretakers.

Widow of one, mother of four grown sons, actually, to be Politically correct, one is a step-son. I forget which one though. Grandmother of six, three Grandsons, three Granddaughters. All Sons and grandson's have beautiful brown eyes, all granddaughters have breathtaking blue eyes. One grandson adopted from Siberia, one Granddaughter adopted from Moscow, as with the step-son, I forget which ones are adopted. To further complicate things, I now have a new step-granddaughter and step-great-granddaughter. I hate the word step. It, to me implies a wedge between hearts where none exists. I love them all.

I retired for two weeks after working 40+ years. Found it too difficult not to work and began volunteering for local United Way. Now I am a part time employ for UW and volunteering some also. I guess you could say that I am recycling myself!!
