Do you think he will be ballsy enough to comment?
Hoping he'll man up!
never have a swine before its time
talk about makin' bacon?
Never thought about pigs having nu4s! T
they have to sow their oats so to speak somewhere
But apparently not in a pigrun...of course I tried that.
catholic pigs could be pignuns though
Hail Mary!
There's another p6/30 right before the ballsy one, FYI
yeah a debt
man I'm stuck now
howdy folks
Just finished. Enjoy!
well done, champ
If pigs can have em then why cant the beast with stripes?
and why no pigear? dogs like those.
well.. I needed Lickety to finish this one.. it's a toughy
how have you been puglet?
oops gone already
it's weird, I am graying a lot of tiles but then barely getting half on the others.
the s's and u's are really tough and a few weird p's too
I actually grayed the top U
wow.. good for you.. i had a bit of a tough time with that tile
I don't know how you do the un7

I don't have the 6 but I have a 7/32 that means to breathe
clue for one of the last su6,27 please
I have a su6/27 that looks like a place in england
thank you carla i found the 7 after i asked for the clue but i cannot find the 6 to save my soul
I have a re6/7 combination that means to quit a job
Or to put your name on a document again
that's a 6/24 though
Oh she isn't asking for a combination
this last r comes from the upper left corner
it seemed that way at first but I couldn't figure how it would be with the points
that the only r i have left and it somehow comes from that corner r
re6/27...belonging to a king
re6/27 ends with you and I are __
ends with not them
well that still took me a while, but thanks all.
ty molly and phae, got it. dont recall ever seeing that word before
thank you homie, I was looking at the wrong SU.
I used more words to find it
too many duplicate letters today
ha, just found my last U and it was the most normal one.
down to 25 now. 4-7-7-5-2 think I will break
hello
Chilly up north? It feels like 27 here.
cold today yeah! but seasonable all in all
morning all
I spend my mornings arguing with my son about wearing a jacket
FW!
I find nothing "seasonable" about 27 freezing degrees.
the Z is annoying
Why? There are no Z words
but there is at least 1 with a Z in it. Having to consider it while monkeying words is annoying.
How do you know there is at least one with a z in it?
because I have at least 1 word in my word list that has a Z in it
I wouldn't let it get in your way. There are not that many words with z in them.
Its a visual thing- it gets in the way when working with the letters surrounding it.
I would rate this one not so fun. Lots of stupid words.
Agreed. This is one I don't really care about completing.
well, I found one with a z earlier
but I still have 25 left
need to walk winston before the sun gets too low (too late!)
The sun isn't helping much today. Cold and windy. It makes me want to hibernate until Spring.
yep
It used to take temperatures in the teens to make me feel cold. Now it's anything below 40. Age is a bitch.
I was definitely underdressed and ended up only walking .7 mile. Mr. Homie went on a bike ride!!! and said it was the coldest he'd been on ever.
It is depressing that it's this cold when it isn't even winter yet.
But hey, 50's next week.
60s and rain here next week
Better than 20's and snow
found my W finally!
and my 4th row R!
yes it is depressing to be this cold and it is not even winter yet. I hate being cold
me too
phantom tipsy
rehi

was only a 4, so maybe more "good"
really out of ideas on that T
yeah, there's an odd pair that comes up time to time
what's the 2nd letter?
for the t?
yes
tw
had been trying tw all day but not until you told me did anything work
that's how good I am at clueing
I know
maybe you can do the same with the A
still missing 1 A on the left and 2 on the right
There are some funky A words
gotta be
oh, just found an n8
an 8
nice, I have one of them
an, the article. not AN
:)
oh, found the other 8
should have had that earlier
me too, turns out I should always look for plurals. could've sworn I did this morning when I found the 7.
yeah, that's what happened to me
so left a complete now
2-2-7-2 RR SSS GG U PPP AA

I have 147 left.
that's a goodly amount
ah, found my last two Gs
go go
what were your last 2 g's BTW?
My last two were gu4.7 and 5.16
I know it's not guru because I've tried that more than once
is that a set, bea? I have one gu5/16 and 3 gu4/7 but not a set.
mine were gi4/5
there's a gu4/5 set
found my last 4
yes, before your gu
well I guess eventually I'll stumble onto it
that should be gu5
aha, got them. thanks
yw
2-3-6-4

Cold down there, Carla?

Of course. I think most of the country is frozen.
yep

Well, then, lets all go to Tokyo.

ok just found one. ty anyway. not getting the an 8. hmmm
No an8
It's as8

any meaning or other clues welcome.
There is also an au8.
as8 is ones who have strong ambition
ty loooking
auger
oops sorry
went to the list. should have gotten some, never heard of others.
hi all, just starting here
Go, hurshy, go!
I'm working on the low hanging fruit at this point.
one more corner R will complete the Rs for me!
my last one was a re5 we have often but you might need re6 that looks like an alt sp of philbin
ah thanks, it was the 6 yeah!
yo, diving in, weeee
*splashes gwen*
no angst this time
down to one A for the As now
maybe au6/36
yes, looks like you are right again! ah, i see it!
phantom: sangria
well i'm doing much less well with the right side S
hoeT, and good night y'all
hoeT, and good night y'a ll
:O
phantom: guru
the right side S was tough
Need 4 there
same
of course one of my last ones was the very regular su7 that I often miss
there's a set of sa6/7 that is a fish I've never heard of
i have two sa6/7 combos... are there more?
no
and your su7, you mean the compound one?
yes
having trouble with P also, five missing
there is a group of 4 su words that sound like an overlocker machine
there are 4 words that have the oinker in it
you prob need py6/7
gracias
de nada
overlocker??
or an electric su5 might damage your tv
ah
yes, i somehow missed those four
but what is an overlocker machine?
ok need the py pair and most of the oinker words!
Used to stitch seams on fabric
or the edges of the fabric
oh
got a pair of words with the oinker!
Ps Pummelled!
in US it's called a serger but in Europe an overlocker
but serge is also a type of fabric, right?
yes
is that somehow related to the machine?
It's like twill
Change the first vowel in the fabric/machine
oh i GOT the words
i'm just asking if the fabric and the machine are related
if you look in a t-shirt or something with side seams, that was made with a serger/overlocker. it also has a knife that cuts as it sews.
I do not know much about the fabric.
that's funny because i've heard of the fabric but not the machine!
and i have 4 words left!
they spell several words but all of those words are in the grid so i can't say them
got the T!
totally terrific
there is another type of fabric called muslin, but that word has come to mean the same as toile, or a practice garment you make to get the fit right before using your good stuff. I was so confused by that when I first heard it because I knew the fabric.
Greyed the U.
toile is the fabric that has pictures of like pastoral scenes on it
i love that stuff
Twill is like what khakis might be made of.
people seem to mix up toile and tulle a lot, i've seen that
yeah, forgot that's also a fabric! so to recap, toile and muslin are fabrics but also practice or fitting garments. serge is fabric but also a seam.
well i know about muslin from little house :D
I lived in a house that had a room with red and white toile wallpaper and matching drapes. egad!
I'm watching this new doc on hulu about the 2004 tsunami. Very crazy and very sad.
they had a convo about why blankets can be all once piece but not sheets (at that time they had to sew sheets from two pieces, so they had a seam up the middle)
"because sheets are made of muslin, and muslin isn't wide enough for a sheet."
that tsunami is probably the worst thing that has happened in my lifetime, yeah
i mean the worst natural disaster, at least
i am kind of jealous of your toile room Bea
Sounds correct, hurshy. Muslin was and still is used in the making of a lot of quilts.
and also can you tell me which upper U i might be missing?
un6.30
you mean unwept, unhonored, and un6?
i have that
well that would've been my guess too, un6/30. no idea what you are saying.
i also need an S, one of these two is a 5 and one is a 6
oh, there are two. I guess you have the 2nd one.
un6 ends with I am, you are, she **
i'm talking about sir walter scott, also quoted by andie macdowell in groundhog day
aHA thank you
and bea
ok so S5
which S?
phantom: segue
oh i got it! FW!
ok, one of my last ones was se5, a regular babblet but I missed it today
congrats
The wretch, concentred all in self, Living, shall forfeit fair renown, And, doubly dying, shall go down To the vile dust from whence he sprung, Unwept, unhonored , and un6
i can definitely think of some famous people who i can only hope that will eventually prove true about...
can anyone clue the an 6/21?...
pen! I bet I can.
well maybe
carla!
ends in letters that could be pee related
oh, means the absence of pee
got it, thanks....
does the first pi 6 start with the animal?
yes
not a compound word?
not really
looks like it might be collateral for a debt in roman law
ok............
ends in not them
LOL!
ty....
are you LOLing that pen doesn't know roman law??
I LOLing at you clues. =)
ah
i want to be done with this grid....py 6?
I am over the R's
same ending as the an6
do you have ra6, bea? if you have er7 you do.
ty...
Went to list and I need 5 re's. As usual...
yep, they are always a pain
sa 6/27?
it's a fish. starts like a breakfast meat.
ty...i am done....
congrats, now you can sleep
are you better now?
hopefully sleep....yes, better, but still "draining"....
yuck
yup...still coughing some, too....
well i am heading out....goodnight all....thanks for the help....
