went really well. the food was amazing. i made chicken noodle soup and chicken marinaded in coconut milk, soy sauce, rice wine, bay leaves and garlic. the soup had rice vermicelli noodles in it and tasted nothing like the soup as we know it.

oh, that is much easier than I thought it was. We don't do lots of chili or sambal or anything like that. Just enough to make the taste interesting, nothing like burning mouth or tongue.

good. chili makes me sweat like a pig. don is constantly surprised by how spicy i can tolerate but all depends on te spices.
stop-over in dubai then straight to you. i don't want to arrive so exhausted that i cannot have a good hug and tears of joy.
I like to cook indian food. That uses lots of spices, but it doesn't have to be sharp at all. I can even leave out the chili completely and still cook a delish dish. Like a curry. With cumin, coriander, garam masala, a hint of cinnamon. Cocos milk. Stuff like that.

Min, the most "politics" we got into was the 3 guys discussing their service times during the Vietnam era. I know that one couple have the same political views as we do; not sure about the other couple.

Besides being cold this past week, Winter has been pretty mild. I had Winter vacation a few weeks ago and it was in the 70s. We had some record breaking temperatures in NY
We've had temps in the 60's during Feb & now again in March. We've had warm temps in the last part of March before (followed by horrific blizzards!); but have never had them in Feb. before
We have temperatures in the single digits at night.I was so cold when I took my dog to the dog park today, but it will be in the 40s Monday.Hopefully we've seen last of the cold
I'm still waiting for a good old Minnesota snow storm here in the Cities. The last one missed us by over 50 miles.
We had a big snow storm about 3 weeks ago. Gave me my first "snow day" for work. Wouldn't mind getting one more snow storm so I can get my second "snow day" of the year.

I know it is selfish on my part. I know that nobody else wants anymore snow storms. If we do not use our snow days we do not get them back.If we use more than two snow days, we have to make them up. It is so not fair!
