10:48 am

"Its nutritious but not delicious... " LOL! They make coats out of them...

10:49 am

So JLM_MI how do you get to find out all the words in the grid?

10:52 am

aj - I used a boggle solver. There are many on the web. I use 2. If I'm going to play a puzzle, I use one that will give me a total word count for each word length. I make a very absolute point to not look at the words, otherwise what's the point of playing. I just want the number. BUT, that solver does not use the same dictionary as babble, so it can be wrong by a few words, which can be frustrating. Today, since I'm not playing, I used a solver that does use the same dictionary, but just gives the list of words ordered by word length and alphabetically, then I counted. This obviously doesn't work if you want to play, since you can't help but see most of the words. I'm sure there are or have been people who use these to "cheat" and just put in all the words for a perfect score. Doesn't matter to me, but talk about boring! :-D

10:53 am

Well I guess the word Traif isn't as widely used as Kosher is. Go figure. Lawyer-1, you here?

10:59 am

ah ha! I found the 7/28 animal a completely different way... building on a word i knew often was combined with others. When I got a 7/28 I searched on Google for that word and found it. Weird and wonderful :) Reminds me of capybaras...

11:32 am

If you watch "The Insomniac", Dave Attell hunted these (the 7 letter rodent) with the local SWAT team one night.

12:15 pm

I found an 8 for 55, 9 for 66 and 10 for 84. The ten is a plural of the nine.

12:18 pm

There's a really great 8 for 45 (starts with a d)

12:19 pm

What does the 9 start with?

12:27 pm

Well, I've got the ROUS (Rodent Of Unusual Size.) What does the other 7 start with?

12:27 pm

The 9 starts with a P

12:34 pm

Don't anyone tell my children that unsort is not a word! Bah!

12:58 pm

could anyone give a clue for the 9

1:49 pm

Thanks for the 10 Claws. I've had the 9 for ages and was SO excited about it i totally forgot to plural it. ;) The ROUS I'm still stuck on (any other clues muchly appreciated) and am looking for the 8 starting with P (I have the one starting with U)

1:52 pm

I mean the 8 starting with D (not P) the 9 clue: A civil servant in the dept. of employment could very likely be one of these.
