We are going to Giverny this afternoon [in the rain :(]
I hope you have warm clothres!
Yes, we had sine cold rainy days in Germany

Does your high school French cope back?

(it might be the Luxembourg Gardens); it's been MANY years.
we actually were there and found it unimpressive
it's very expensive in Paris
In general, France is expensive for everything except vegetables
and medical care
Where are you staying?

I hope you have a wonderful time!!
I've never regreteed, even for a second, moving here.
We have to go home tomorrow. Boo hiss

Hello, Sally-catlover :-) exactly 50 left for later. I see 'decore' is not allowed. Happy babbling everyone!

Hello again.
I found 121 much earlier but looking t a wall now
I didn't have time to do much yesterday but was happy to see my name there:-)
Dete
Whoops! Sorry
Sally, I wasmistaken the other day; it was a different Sally who got me started in here.
Not that it will help anybody.
Ah that explains it rubyfoo. I didn't think it was me. Do you play Words With Friends?
Did you think I was "gaslighting" you?
Lol
92 done. More than half way. Must go and do something useful. Back later
This isn't useful?
Hi Ruby. I think there is a great deal of use and productiveness in challenging your mind with a good word game.
Have yu tried serpentine? It's too fast for me.
It's a real time drain, appeals to my OCD side
Morning peeps. May I please have a nudge on the cr7/36 and cr8/50?
NM - monkied it

Oh of course, an acid azo dye. How could we not have thought of that immediately? : P
Indeed. I'm kicking myself even as we speak
Just the other day.....
I had a funny and very nice experience yesterday.
Hi Ruby, tell us what :)
Myt banker is retiring today and he came yesterday to say goodbye and bring a small gift. He lovees Oriental art and was stunned when he walked in. The house is full of stuff that my husband accumulatd over the years;
When we went out on the deck to look at the garden, hee noticed several pot withb dirty in them, ready for tomato plants. When he looking more closely, he realized that they were antique bronzes from China.
When we went out on the deck to look at the garden, hee noticed several pot withb dirty in them, ready for tomato plants. When he looking more closely, he realized that they were antique bronzes from China.
Sounds nice Ruby. I'm glad he got to see your collection since he is one who appreciates it.
He couldn't stop laughing about it and said hed di ne on the story of the eccentric old lady and her plants in antique bronzes!
:)
*Looks embarrassed that she plants in clay pots*
Sorry for the typos -- eccentric and sloppy!
It's good to be an eccentric old lady, I strive for that :)
I'm sure tour plantings are Superior to mine, MMollty!
Im Lucky to be old!
I prefer eccentric elders over boring, prim and proper ones.
Me too.
You don't think I'm prim and proper? hahah
My first husband thought I was bawdy!
"When I am old, I shall wear purple..."
I always weaar purple!
I still wear my jeans and running shoes and my baseball cap :)
Yay! The wan sun just came out.
For what team, Sukee?
Here too, we haven't seen sun in about 3 days.
Do you know the poem, Ruby?
Toronto Blue Jays of course :) I found a pink hat I love.
No, I don't Matty
Tell me the name/author and I can find it
This is a tough grid for me today.
When I am an old woman I shall wear purple With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me. And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter. I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells And run my stick along the public railings And make up for the sobriety of my youth. I shall go out in my slippers in the rain And pick flowers in other people's gardens And learn to spit. You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat And eat three pounds of sausages at a go Or only bread and pickle for a week And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes. But now we must have clothes that keep us dry And pay our rent and not swear in the street And set a good example for the children. We must have friends to dinner and read the papers. But maybe I ought to practise a little now? So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple. Jenny Joseph
Thank you for sharing that, Matty!
It's lovely, isn't it? It's called Warning, by Jenny Joseph
They are words to live by, but a purple had and no spitting LOL
hat*
Every damn time it's in the grid, I try oreo. And it never works.
See you later, kids, 54 left
Have a good one! 15 left, though I listed long ago
See you later.
I love that poem. I am older and I wear whatever I want.

fireflies. Bye all.
fireflies?
she finished the grid
I've never finished one before. So do fireflies pop up, or is that just an idiom for finishing the grid?
there is a little animation of fireworks, so folks used to proclaim FIREWORKS! somehow, it morphed into proclaiming fireflies. :)
Fireworks pop up on the bottom of the page. Pretty cool!
Wonderful! Thanks, EvaNadine and CampFit.
Why don't I have a flag next to my name?
Maybe you have to put the city as well as just the state. Not sure. Where are you in Texas? I'm in the 'burbs of Houston.
'burbs of Dallas
I have a sis-in-law in Denton.
One county west of me.
Are you near McKinney?
Just south of it in Plano.
Gotcha.
I think I've filled everything in (city, state, USA) but still no flag. :-/
Maybe everyone else sees it but me?
Weird. Maybe it'll pop up tomorrow. Last time i changed my profile pic it took more than a day.
You mean I have to keep coming back here? ;)
The addiction is real!
"have to" clearly youre not addicted enough. ;)
Working on it!
I feel like I can always get just one more word! And then I'll stop.
:)
I'm in the 'burbs of Austin. Texans representin' in here today.
lone star love
WooHOO!
now THAT sounds more like the addiction we respect around here!
I'm missing one 8, one 7, have 45 words left, and have hit a wall that's driving me to Lickety. I can't seem to go any further.
I'm at 48 and have 2 - 8's left. Totally get it.
Let's see if we can help each other out: I have co 8/45, cr 8/50, de 8/50, and mi 8/50. Do you know which one I'm missing? And I should have given you at least one there.
Gotta exercise! Be back later if I can!
Bye!
I can't help...I'm missing the cr8/50 and whatever the other one is.
eggs-are-sides??
Want a clue?
Sure!
cr 7/8 combo: Four letter cousin of alligator, plus the german word for "one". Tan make it pl for the eight.
Yes, Eva, eggs *are* sides. Deviled eggs can make a great precursor to any meal.
I have the 7 from an earlier clue, and I swear I tried the plural...but NO. Screwed by my stupid fingers. Thank you!
Eggs are WONDERFUL no matter where you use them. :)
:D
clue the co8 pls
It's part of a grouping: co 4, 7, 8, 5, 5 "Most trite" is a decent definition.
It's a comparative word: A dad joke can be co 5/16, 7/32, or the worst ones are co 8/45
ty
ty
Glad to help make fun of dad jokes. :)
lol
mi8?
It's a word that usually has a "di" in front of it. It means "to lessen". The mi6 would be used in a sentence like: My accomplishments do not dimi**** your own; add a pl for the 8
ty
Silly word!
i have 4 of 5 *'s. Co, cr, de & mi. What am i missing
Beats me. Those are the four I have.
Me too.
lol
I'm down to 39 list and I have to go be productive. I'll come back later and list the last few. Nice talking to y'all, bye!

Thank you Kallia! Thank completed my sevens and eights. And now I'm *really* gone! *POOF*
Oh for goodness sake! What kind of Catholic am I? Thank you!
Hello everyone
Hi car...sorry...went AWOL for a bit.
Now I am hearing "What Kind Of Catholic Am I?" to the tune of "What Kind Of Fool Am I?" (Not implying that Catholics are fools)
Ha! Sorry to put the earworm in, Molly. ;)
Fools for Christ! Speaking as a Catholic. ;)
There ya go!
hello everyone *splash*
Hi!

You serve drinks from it
ty fit
I'm still looking for co42
42 points indicates that it includes a high point tile
I now like to finish quietly.
With a whimper
Grids that is
Oh...thank God
That whole finishing quietly with a whimper thing gave me a bad mental image.
I bet
But it could be better than TA DA!!!!!
It is interesting how people wrap it up
True. Rolling over and snoring is not a popular choice.
Lol. That isnt me
*lights a cigarette*
I'm not sure "I am done" would be a popular choice either, for someone who "isn't done".
Well. Might work in Maine? 😄
It is 97 degrees here today
Yes, it's cold there. Get busy, and then be done.
hello - anyone here?
Hi Nan. I am here trying to finish.
I still have a long way to go -- didn't get started until just before supper - busy day
I think that I am not going to finish. I am just too tired.
do you have the co 6/42?
Add a slang term for the round Italian pie with tomato and cheese to the word before it.
ty wht
co6, co + whisky and **e, last and first letters of the alphabet

This grid has some very strange words in it.
yes it does -- if I disappear for a few minutes it is because I am baking cookies
Well that is fireworks.
Happy Babbling to all. And enjoy the cookies.
