Oddest thing when we drove through CT on I-395, there were no leaves on 75% of the trees. It was truly bizarre, until I remembered that there was a severe gypsy moth infestation last year. Amazing the amount of devastation to the trees.

Actually, it's this year. But there's a fungus killing the off. The larger rainfall has made the fugus grow

Let's see... on Saturdays I get up early to take Wally for his first promenade and first breakfast. Then I usually attend a 1-hour webinar on a teaching subject and plan lessons until everyone is awake. In the summer I will do some gardening once there are people to make sure I can stand up after I am done (cannot garden alone anymore). Evenings we watch TV and eat, or play games and eat... Sundays are my pancake days. Or sometimes I make muffins or 'bugnuts' (doughnuts but dropped in so they are spiky and odd shapes) just to keep them guessing.

Better than 5 Monday-Friday! I leave the (apartment) building at 6:30 to walk to the train, and get to work about 7:45. That gives me time for a 20 minute massage chair session (free from work, yay!) and to get breakfast, then at my desk at 8:30am.
wow, I wouldn't mind starting my day with a nice massage... LOL usually I am standing at the copy machine at about 7:00 with last-minute changes to the lesson plans. Not as often as I used to, though! I am really enjoying not waking up until 7:30 these days.
So happy that you have the job you wanted and worked for for so long! I'm very happy where I work, and am thankful for how it worked out.

Oh, that's a subject that I could discourse upon for a goodly length of time; succinctly, I think it has a lot to do with resilience.
I've been listening to a podcast called 'Happier' by Gretchen Rubin, with her sister Elizabeth Craft. Binge listening, actually, sometimes up to 4 a day (because, commuting) from the beginning. It's been enlightening, and very helpful.
ah -- I haven't heard of that podcast. Will go look it up. I just got a new cellphone that will allow me to do fun things like that!
